I just had my DREAM WEDDING here. It was like a fairy tale. I would give it 10 stars if I could! When I first started wedding planning, I agonized, BOY did I agonize over how to have a cost effective wedding in New York. My now husband and I are in our early/mid 30's and were paying for much of it ourselves with help from our moms. So while we had plenty of help, we did not have unlimited resources. So many reviews of NYC wedding venues say, "Oh, I had my fantasy wedding here!" Of course you did. We can all have the Manhattan wedding of our dreams with hundreds of thousands of dollars. Anyways, there are many blogs about having a New York wedding on a budget. Have your wedding in the park and then go to a nice alcohol free brunch! Have a potluck in the park! Just bring cute umbrellas and galoshes if it rains, don't worry, the pictures will be SOOO CUTE! Have a wedding at the courthouse and then hire a food truck to feed all your friends, yum and sure to impress hipsters everywhere. I know, have it on a random Wednesday afternoon! I poured through countless blogs and articles about having a wedding in Manhattan on a budget....And I was just like....no. First of all, my husband and I could not be further from "shabby chic." A farm or outdoor wedding with mason jars etc etc was just not going to work for us. (Not that that is usually any cheaper, don't be fooled!) I wanted the REAL DEAL. An aisle to walk down. A place where I could have live classical music during the ceremony. Saturday night. Dinner. Dancing. A place where I didn't need a rain plan. THE WHOLE KIT AND KABOODLE. Of course, my now husband would have been totally cool with just going to the courthouse and calling it a day, but while I am no bridezilla, I was having none of that. Everywhere I turned (looking online and making inquiries etc), the prices were out of our budget, and the venue often worked with exclusive vendors, locking you in to whatever they charged. I discovered Landmark on the Park while perusing the New York Wedding Guide "Splurge vs. Save" feature on venues. The Angel Orensanz Foundation was the "splurge", Landmark being the "save". A church wedding without ACTUALLY getting married in a church? SIGN ME UP. For about five thousand dollars, I looked no further. Seriously, I called, met Darius, and gave them our deposit right then and there. I did not shop around or visit any other place. IT IS GORGEOUS! And I mean come on-the whole church but not a church thing was perfect for a non practicing catholic bride and non practicing jewish groom getting married by their gay presbyterian aunt .They will even cover the Jesus washing feet mural and Tiffany alter for you. I could have an aisle to walk down and a beautiful acoustic for live classical music, AND have the reception and ceremony be in the same place. Yes please! They run a tight ship-they pipe and drape off the main part of the cathedral where the tables are for the reception, and the ceremony is in the front of the church. Later those chairs move to the dinner tables, and the ceremony area becomes the cocktail reception, and later the dance floor. No muss, no fuss, no big break between the ceremony and reception. Tables and piano included, no extra charge. They also include chairs but we rented smaller ballroom chairs from out caterer. Darius was a dream to work with every step of the way. Friendly, helpful, positive, pro-active. We were in such good hands and I could not be happier to have found this place. He was very responsive to all of our questions whenever we had them. While it was more work for me to have a venue that was not all inclusive, it allowed me to shop around and hire the vendors we wanted, many of whom were already dear friends, or recommended by friends. All of our friends and family kept saying they weren't expecting our wedding to be so "fancy". It truly had a grand feel to it, given the sheer size and how beautiful it looks at night with candles everywhere. And right off Central Park-it felt very much like US. Very New York, and all of our friends in the city could come without schlepping to some random midwestern suburb that neither of us visit any more. The bathrooms are a little small and not fancy-I only mention this for anyone who has a crazy mother who's going to go in there and get kooky about it. Also, you only get the venue from about 5-10 PM. People were definitely NOT ready to leave by 10, everyone was having such a great time. No big deal, I'd always rather leave people wanting more than have it get sloppy, but in hindsight I would have paid 500 extra to have the space until 11. Our wedding came in at around 30K for 100+ people smack in the middle of Manhattan, with all the fixings of a traditional wedding. And it was NICE with really and truly a high end feel to it. We have Darius and Landmark on the Park to thank and we are so grateful. It was absolutely perfect and has our highest recommendation. read more

Where do I begin? If you're looking for an event space, look no further. Landmark is IT. This was the first and last place we looked at to host our 135 person wedding. We knew from the minute we talked to Darius that planning an event here would be easy as pie. He is beyond helpful and will go out of his way to ensure your event goes off without a hitch. And he is one of the most professional vendors I have ever worked with. It's refreshing when you find someone who doesn't give you a hard time and who genuinely wants to see your event be the best it can be. Then the space itself...it's impressive, to say the least. It's beyond accommodating and spacious, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how cool and unique it was. Working with a good uplighting company can enhance it even further, but even if you can't do that, the setting is so gorgeous you won't have to worry about dressing it up too much. One of the best parts is that your rental fee includes SO MUCH. Unlike other raw spaces, which charge thousands for an empty room, Landmark saves you money in the long run by providing tables, chairs, pipe and drape, even theatrical lighting. Their staff is professional and quick. We had the ceremony and the reception in the same space, and there were no issues with turnaround time. Not to mention, the location is right across the street from Central Park! You can't ask for a better setting when it comes to wedding photos. Check out some of mine :) All in all, Landmark is truly a hidden gem that should be utilized by couples looking to add a unique flair to their wedding, without breaking the bank. I owe so much to Darius and his staff. You'll have to provide the other services (catering, DJ, etc) but knowing you've at least got the space under control is one less bit of planning stress you'll have to deal with. This was a event that could have been great! Unfortunately it fell short due to lack of preparation and poor planning. This event was suppose to start at 7pm. It was rescheduled to 8 and ppl didn't get inside until 9:30. Very disorganized at coat check. There was no set price and they made up a number to charge ppl who attended. The place itself was beautiful. It's actually a church which threw some people off but at $45 per ticket ppl made the adjustment. Now for the good stuff!! The hors d oeuvres were amazing and made with creativity and flair. Their were stilt-walkers dancing and serving food as they walked the floor. The drink stations were great and one drink stood out the most was the " The Long Island Ice Tea" which cost a whopping $18 dollars!!!!! The different about this drink was that all top shelf liquors were added to it ... Great way to make a drink! STRONG! The women were beautiful in their gowns, and all of the fellas had on sport coats and designer loafers of some kind. Overall, definitely worth another it to give them a chance to get it right from the beginning. The hostess named Shannon worked really hard to keep things in order. From making sure our needs were met, to cleaning up behind everyone as they partied. Amazing ... Kudos to her!!!!!! read more

Full amount of stars just for the beauty of this place. Definately a top choice for a wedding or very formal event. I went to a gala here and totally enjoy the architecture. Cons: Parking. Being across from Central Park & The museum of National History etc.. I can only imagine the headache of finding Park if you go there for an event in the day. I called prior to going and they did informed me of the closest parking lot. read more

Great location! Awesome space for events. I photographed JWT holiday masquerade party 12/5/13, and it was a beautiful space very spacious and very clean. Everyone on top of their game! The bathroom is very very small and needs extreme updating, but it was clean. Only negative is that we were told we could go to the balcony to photograph and a man was harsh and said no one is allowed up here. Then an hour later he came over to me like a puppy stating you can go to the balcony and said see how I take care of you?!" Guess he must have realized me was a little nasty at the 1st impression and fixed it right away. That was good! I would recommend any and everyone to this great spot. Great food! read more

Last night I played with our faculty r&r band at Landmark On The Park. What a great place to play! Great acoustics! The event was an International Food Festival and the place was packed but large enough to fit everyone. I felt that I was visiting a European cathedral! I did not see the bathroom (sorry Louise!) but what I did see was very impressive! No idea what it costs to rent but from the other reviews, it sounds like it is reasonable for one of those "I had no idea this was right here on CPW" places. read more

Had our 100-guest wedding here and it was wonderful. Considering what you get for the money, the cost is quite reasonable and they're very flexible in regards to what you can do. Rather than write a detailed review I will just emphasize one thing: Darius. Darius is a true professional, a great guy who will deliver on his promises and be extremely helpful throughout the process. As long as you're dealing with Darius, you should have absolutely no concerns. He's fantastic, creative, great at his job, and we thank him very much! read more

Best under-the-radar wedding venue ever. seriously. wedding venue searching is the worst! everywhere we went had some issue - not available, under renovation, cost-prohibitive, etc... then the now-husband remembered that he'd been to some converted church on CPW for a corporate event. we figured it would be way too expensive (given the location), but we were coming up empty, so it seemed worth a shot... oh my god, i was in love... and my excel-spreadsheet-budget was too. the staff is the opposite of those phony-wedding-industry people that i'd grown so sick of... totally laid back and sitting on this beyond-gorgeous gothic building - it was one of those things that made you go 'seriously???' if you are looking at Angel Orensanz, give landmark a look... the feel is very similar and landmark is way cheaper and the staff couldnt be more accommodating... read more

I recently held my wedding at Landmark on the Park and it was absolutely the most wonderful experience! Darius, the manager, was a god send for the entire year of planning as well as the day of the wedding. The venue, itself, is beautiful - but I recommend hiring someone to come in and light the columns in different colors (not just white lights) because it lends itself to a less church and more wedding venue ambiance. The price is very reasonable (well, by New York standards!) and the location is just perfect: it is near the subway and buses for guests, as well as being right on Central Park so you can take your wedding photos there! He gave us a wonderful tour and is always responsive and helpful. A Five Star Review from the Mother of the Bride...My daughter Kat and Tom were married at Landmark on the Park in December 2015. She just mentioned to me that she wrote a Yelp review about their experience and it reminded me, that I wanted to do the same. I purposely haven't read Kat's review first, but I do see that she covered a lot. Kat and Tom were so excited from the start that they found the venue that would be perfect for them. They hoped for NYC . It was such a great location for their guests. Many were coming from Long Island and Westchester. They knew what they wanted and the Landmark offers a lot of flexibility to have the things/look you want. The Landmark allows you to personalize your experience, which often isn't the situation at a catering hall. Right from the start Darius couldn't have been more helpful to them. Besides being very experienced, he listened to what they had in mind and made very helpful suggestions, in many areas. They took him up on many of those suggestions. I have to say as Mother of the Bride I was hoping for the more traditional venue, originally. By that I mean the type where you show up the day of the wedding and things are arranged the way they always arrange them....wedding after wedding. I was concerned about what might go wrong and who might not show up, like caterer, dj , etc. The confidence Kat and Tom had in Darius and his wonderful (patient) assistant Kenneth and the decision to have a "day of coordinator", (who was also wonderful) gave them the wedding day they dreamed of. We received so many compliments on the facility and the day. We were all so relaxed and had so much fun. We can't stop talking about Kat and Tom's beautiful wedding day! read more

Our small nonprofit had our annual member party at Landmark at the Park and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The space is very beautiful and grand, and makes an impact on guests the minute they walk in. The Events Manager, Darius, is incredibly helpful and was really great at advising us on set-up and the best use of the space. The night of the event, the staff was very attentive to our needs and was right on top of any issue that come up. You can't go wrong hosting your event at Landmark on the Park. read more
