I've been here a few times for several occasions, but this most recent was the best yet. It was for the Best of the Borough by Schneps Media reception and it was held in the rooftop penthouse which was WONDERFUL! A nice spacious room, with a stunning view that gave us the most picture perfect view the sunset. Not only was the view was great. The food was delicious, and the staff were super hospitable. I have to say...I love a Queen's rooftop view. You not only get the Manhattan Skyline, but sometimes you can see Citi Field. Here you definitely could! Legend has it is that one of my mom's oldest friends got married here close to 50 years ago in the room I was just in. That same room looked very modern, and current enough for me to want to host something there. Grateful for the opportunity to go and enjoy this venue again. read more

Celebrated with a Brunch event for Mom 80th birthday on August 31. The garden is space in nice , we have access to the outside and it's private , we also have access to the main ballroom. Overall the ground floor garden is nice and spacious. Nicole and Renee the coordinators are very helpful and done a good job with recommendations and accommodations. We had a variety of pastries and five dishes , they are ok , the sea bass and shrimp scampi is bland , it can use some more fresh herbs / seasoning. Highly recommended the garden . That is the(pro). The (con) the venue added 24% service fee+taxes+ gratuity, which is more than 1/3 of the cost you will pay per person. . Our brunch is $60.00 per person , with all the fee it comes up &95.00 PP. Latter in our event, we extended for an additional hour, great that it was provided, but it came with a very steep price, with no additional food and the drinks ran out in 45 minutes. Not to mention additional steep gratuities $$$. These are some of the things to consider for cost effective event, we all had a good time hopefully my guest had too. My three stars does not reflect the venue but the fees and steep gratuity that required. read more

We recently had an event to celebrate 25th anniversary at Terrace on the Park, and it was absolutely wonderful. The sweeping views of the city skyline; Citi field and lush green spaces created the perfect backdrop for the evening. The location has capacity to host multiple events on same day. The staff was attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly, and the food was delicious. It's a beautiful venue with a timeless charm the best part was the musician playing violin to Bollywood songs -- highly recommend for a special occasion; My only issue was getting to the venue due to crazy traffic but the end was worth it. read more

Venue and Aesthetics - Excellent I must say that this place is a hidden gem in New York. It is one of the most beautiful places I have been to for an event - hands down!. The view is breathtaking at night and the decor of the place is unbelievable. I recently used it for a major event. If I was able to rate the building on its own, I would give it a 5 star! Customer Service and Management (Needs Immediate Attention) The overall experience was poor and does not match the quality of the venue. These venues are used to celebrate critical milestones in one's life and should be filled with happiness and memorable moments. Unfortunately, customer service is extremely poor and requires immediate attention: Incident 1: Accounting/Finance Staff (Nicole). The interaction with Nicole from the Accounting Department was highly unprofessional. While I was visiting to make a final payment, she approached me in the public lobby, in front of my guests, and opened the conversation by asking, 'Did you take the money?' This direct, accusatory question, lacking any polite greeting or privacy, created a disrespectful and embarrassing customer experience for me. There was also a poor experience with Nicole when we visited the venue to go over the plans for the event, she was also unwelcoming and cold. Incident 2: Interaction with venue owner: While we were decorating the venue, we wanted to know if table numbers were provided. We approached a gentleman (later identified as the owner) walking by and approached him and asked. His response was a mumbled, dismissive answer, made without eye contact, before he immediately walked away. This level of unhelpful and abrupt conduct from a key figure like the owner was particularly disappointing. Food Quality - Excellent I must also say that the quality of the food was very good. Top marks for the taste, presentation and quantity of the food. Event Conclusion: Lack of communication The event was concluded without a formal warning or a five-minute notice. The music system was abruptly powered off, which, despite understanding our time booked, demonstrated a complete lack of professional communication and customer courtesy. Overall Experience and Conclusion (1 STAR!) While the physical venue and food quality merit a top rating, the pattern of unwelcoming and rude behavior from key management personnel, as well as the lack of professional communication regarding the event's conclusion, was a fundamental detractor. This poor customer service set an unacceptable tone, forcing me to rate the overall experience as 1 STAR! read more

My daughter recently got married and she choose Terrace On The Park. Our contact for the wedding at the venue was Ken. He was great took care of everything and the wedding went very smooth with no hiccups. We booked the penthouse and it was totally beautiful. We had about 140 guests. It was a bit cold the day of the wedding, But on the terrace there where amazing views all around. The cocktail hour was nice and the food was good. The main dinner was really good and the food overall was top notch. I myself loved the desert table at the end fantastic. Terrace On The Park has it's own parking lot with tons and tons of parking. overall I thought the price was very reasonable. Came here for my friend's wedding and the food just wasn't that great. The venue looks quite nice, but lower your expectations for the food they serve. It's such a shame that they can't cook things a little better, especially for wedding guests with such a big crowd all the time, and when there's so much great food in Flushing nearby. They should just hire some Chinese chef to help cook. The experience would be so much better if the food was good. The cocktail hour was not memorable. I got some pasta, meat, cooked mussels and clams and also some cold appetizers. We were on the first floor, seating was limited so grab them when you see one! Definitely not enough for all the guests so some people had to find seats outside or eat while they stand. We had 2 bartenders who were kinda slow in getting drinks ready too. For entrees, I got steak and my friend got salmon. The steak was soooooooooo sooo soo dry and extremely hard to cut, and they totally overcooked it. My medium rare steak looked and tasted like it was well done. They even forgot to give us steak knives, so everyone was cutting their meat with a butter knife for the longest time ever. Real knives finally came when we were all about done with our food, or half of us just gave up trying (it really wasn't that good). Salmon was better so go with that option if you really have to choose. Overall it was just an average experience, wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. read more

Three months ago, I had my wedding at Terrace on the Park in the Chapel and Rose Ballroom. I must say the venue is lovely and accommodated my 353 guests. I, reside in Georgia and I was in great hands with our banquet manager Nicole Barroca and the entire team assigned to us. Nicole handle every question,concern and issues that arose. The food,desserts and drinks met our expectations and our guests. Due to the size of our guest headcount. Nicole made sure adequate staff was on duty the day of the wedding to accommodate us and our guests. Special thanks to our bridal attendant Jocelyn. She did an excellent job all day. Especially, moving us from suite to suite. She made sure we had everything we needed and stayed with us until we left. The only complaint I have is the decor. I would recommend updating the chairs and getting rid of the carpet in the ballrooms. Perhaps putting down a floor and use neutral colors that can be used with any theme or color decor. I hired a decor team coordinator to match the colors in the Chapel and Rose Ballroom. Nevertheless, I used their linen for the tables in the ballroom and had my decor team work with the colors in the ballroom by matching the flowers, plate charges, centerpiece and chair covers to the carpet. We also put down a floor decal for the dance floor via Bravo Sound. Overall, our experience was great and I would use Terrace on the Park for a future event. I went for New Year's Eve 2025 -2026 this week. The food was not good at all with only buffet items. No food was brought to table aside from a salad It was advertised as gourmet, but there was long lines just to get the steak that was running out constantly and not the greatest quality at all. There was no real protein to eat mostly just vegetables and a few seafood items fried or sitting there for a while. with a pasta station that was sub par very small Portions. The service was not good. They really did not come around that often or were just overwhelmed. The desserts at the end of the night where just a few pastries very small nothing of note On a tray. Could not be worse. the coffee at the end of the night- I was advised there is no half-and-half or milk they ran out just after midnight by one the gentlemen working there I then asked another woman working there and she said they do have milk but no half-and-half. I said I'll have some milk please and none was brought after waiting a while. just black coffee and not good. . The portions that were served were very small - trying to watch every dollar every penny it seemed like - and the tickets were $200 per ticket. You did not get your moneys worth at all. The venue is a nice venue such a shame. The drinks were terrible. They were very much low quality and it was supposed to be top shelf - this was another false advertisement. The Dj and the MC was good. That was the only redeeming quality of the night. read more

We just had our wedding at Terrace at the Park last Saturday (end of April 2023, for future readers), and we could not be happier with our choice of venue!! Even in NYC, planning a same sex wedding is stressful because you never know the kind of responses and interactions you will receive when inquiring about a venue. Every single person we worked with along the way from Ken (the banquet manager) to Nicole (our finalization manager) to Katrina (our maitre'd) - was simply phenomenal! We felt so respected and cared for every single time we reached out with a question -- and trust me, I reached out ALOT. :-) The entire staff at Terrace on the Park accommodated our whopping 230+ guests with grace and a smile. Even the day of the wedding, we had booked the Penthouse Terrace to enjoy our ceremony and cocktail hour outside, was a last minute change due to April rain showers. At 3:30pm that day, we were called and changes were made to make the day go as smoothly as possible since we had to move the cocktail hour indoors - and honestly was even better than we could have imagined. So many people told us after how amazing the staff was and how quickly they got them anything they needed immediately. Please check out this awesome venue and wonderful staff. The space is quite remarkable for what you'd think it would be. From the outside it resembles the "Titan Tower" from the TV show "Teen Titans"; a little ominous, but alas nice. Truly a magical place! My parents got married here almost 40 years ago, and then also celebrated their 25th here as well. I wasn't even a glimmer in their eyes for their wedding hahaha! I have been here for several occasions already, most recently on April 30th for a dinner dance. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences each and every time! From the location, to the staff, to the food, all I can say is WOW! It is all exceptional. Truly one of the most elegant places to have a special event in NYC! The staff is always very friendly and they truly go out of their way to make sure that your evening is as magical as possible! I cannot extol the views enough either!!! There is a undisrupted view of the city and all I can say is WOW! If you catch it at sundown, it is truly a magical view. I have never eaten anything here that I have not loved. From the cocktail hour to dinner as well as the dessert, it is all made with care and compassion. It is all delicious. If you opt for the Viennese table for dessert, they really go out of their way to put up a beautiful display. All in all a wonderful place. The view is outstanding. The tables are set perfectly. The pre-dinner offerings are lovely and nicely presented in buffet style. The acoustics lend this venue to speeches and dancing and live music. The bar is well stocked and the bartenders know what they are doing. This iconic reception hall quickly goes downhill from there. The wait staff is very young, very inexperienced and simply put, poorly trained. The food is nicely presented, but dried out. Steaks that are supposed to be medium rare are well done, the fish looks like it was standing out for an hour before it was served and then heated with a microwave. The coffee, assuming it ever came out to the table, was served with skim milk and there was no half-and-half or cream available. The desserts were dry. In the 20 years since I have been here, this place has gone tremendously downhill. Very sorry to say. read more

Terrace On The Park is not only one of the most recognizable places in the borough, it's really a one of a kind banquet hall that has stood the test of time. It still has that old world charm, while still maintaining a classy demeanor. It's been a unique destination for all sorts of special events and just a hop, skip, and away from Flushing Meadows Corona Park, all while standing tall in the residential side of Corona. And it all comes with a panoramic view, which is not something easily found anywhere in NYC, Built nearly 60 years ago by the Port Authority of NY/NJ, it was originally intended to be a heliport for the World's Fair. This would explain the rather unique architecture, which for me looks like a cross between something the Jetsons would have lived in or a tower that should be at an airport. I don't hate it though, if anything, it adds to the charm and overall quirkiness. I've been here on a number of occasions, ranging from wedding receptions to lavish private events, and the occasional corporate gathering. On the outside, it looks like As a venue, the overall space is larger than it appears, with a number of interesting rooms / settings that are tailored for custom experiences. From their main ballroom to the the rooftop / penthouse, there's a lot ot appreciate here. The parking is vast (#2), the WiFi is solid and they are flexible with all sorts of vendors. They also offer a lot of various services and amenities, which makes this place an ideal spot for event planner and/or any one looking to celebrate a momentous occasion. _____________ (#1) When a review from me is that short, then something isn't right. Was here for a wedding a few weeks ago in the small room downstairs. The only positive thing I can say is the room decor was lovely. The cocktail hour food was pretty good. But that was the extent of it. The main course was served cold and flavorless. It was very disappointing. The worst part was they served dinner at almost 10pm and then the plates were picked up about a half hour later whether it was eaten or not. I counted about 10 guests who did not have dinner. This was mostly the bridal party. While they were helping the bride change outfits, the meals were served & taken away without even a bite being taken! When they complained, the response was "well kitchen is closed and there is no staff!" I felt very sorry for the bride and groom; her bridesmaids did not want to upset her on her wedding day so they went without dinner. The staff was unapologetic and rude. The bride told me afterwards that her bridal suite attendant did not speak English and she could not communicate with her without a translator. Absolutely lovely! My son and his bride had their reception here in July and it was beyond our expectations. The venue itself looked gorgeous. We had the regency room which looked perfectly elegant, only enhanced by the stunning views of the NYC skyline. Our guests , many who traveled from all over the country , are still talking about that view and the beautiful space. Our guests loved the cocktail hour in the wood toned bar area , it even included a warm buffet! The dinner was fantastic- Terrace on the Park knows what they are doing. Everything cooked to order and it was delicious. Many guests remarked on the quality and presentation. The whole event was very well staffed and they were 100% professional and attentive to every need. On top of the regular staff, you have a maitre D and a bridal attendant who never leaves their side ! One guest commented," this place really takes good care of you "! The evening was timed beautifully, the cake ( delicious, gorgeous, and included in the price !) and a desert buffet all right on time. I have just visited the venue recently and have to admit it is a very unique shaped building. It is in the form of a Giant T and there are many different rooms and levels. The event that I happened to attend was on the second floor. It was a great event and great atmosphere in this building. The place is located right near the Queens museum in Corona Park and from the second floor you can get some great views of the buildings that are right near and right across from this building. I also noticed that the parking lot here is huge at Terrace on the Park. You can get a serious workout just running around or even walking around the whole parking lot. I had a good time visiting this place overall and hope to one day return. It is a beautiful venue but my overall experience with staff was not good. The banquet manager I was assigned to after the one I initially had gaslit and lied so much that I had to have a witness to our phone conversations. My husband was so annoyed with the way it was being handled that he no longer wanted to do the ceremony there and I'm glad we didn't. The day of event my friends and I were there to set up and as that was happening the same banquet manager strolled in with a couple, he did not acknowledge us or ask if it was ok to show the room with us being there which made everyone annoyed. The bridal suite had no A/C and I was over heating, the door was slightly left open to get some air in there as we were all was getting dressed. The bridal attendent and maitre d kept disappearing on us our dinner service was pushed back by 45mins I guess they had a bigger wedding to take care of that was happening at the same time. After getting sick from overheating and not eating it was only fitting by the end of the night that the same banquet manager who again hardly spoken to me the whole night asked one of my guests about money leading them to think we owed money to venue, proceeded to follow me to the curb to ask if the girls don't deserve a tip if they didn't do a good job which is really distasteful I didn't even have my purse with me as I was being help. I don't mind tipping for good service but I don't like feeling pressured and they were more focused on the two large receptions taking place and we were literally push to the side. read more

There are a few rooms on the first floor and one on the penthouse level, top floor of the big T building. The roof has very nice views of the city, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island. Food was very good and the place has very good servers for guests. The parking lot is huge with plenty of space. However, public transportation suffers a bit, it not near any subway, other than maybe the 7 train, which would be quite a walk or maybe the MTA bus. read more
