This was my first time going here and the moment I walked in I was greeted immediately and got a home-y feel from the spot. The place has a chill vibe and, on first look, I noticed that the place's decor and upkeep are amazing. As for the haircut itself, overall Chip, my barber, was patient and willing to take the time to understand what I wanted in my cut. He did an amazing job on the fade (0-2 skin fade) and on the line-up. But, the hair on the other side of the comb-over(line) part is uneven and does not look good. Earlier this week, I was looking for a local barber online in Gardena where I live and stumbled across Landreaux's. I called to late in the afternoon make a same day appointment and Chip was gracious enough to fit me in at 7:30pm. The shop normally closes at 6pm. That was cool, I thought. Then when I got to the lounge, I couldn't help but notice the decor and thought this guy really takes pride in his shop. It was clean, well kept and the detailed decor created a nice and relaxing vibe. Finally, the haircut was great. I hadn't grown my hair out in years and Chip was nice enough to answer my questions and gave me advice on how best to maintain my new look. If you ever in the area this is the shop to check out they work off appointments which is perfect for me as I am A busy man. I got to give a shot out to Chip because even though they were busy he set me up to come in and see Jason. The decor of the shop is dope... modern clean and safe location. I went in on a Thursday the appointment was right on time and easy parking As far as my cut goes let's just say I found my new barber hands down already booked another appointment. I haven't been this happy with a cut in a while. Jason got me right with a fade and full beard treatment. My beard is on point and the blend on my fade is crazy. This is the best barber shop I've been too in town. The owner took the time to cut my hair on his lunch break with no appointment because it was my birthday. How cool is that! My original barber now my ex barber (at a completely different shop) couldn't even do that for me, even after 5 years of going to him. The owner of this shop also did a fantastic job cutting my hair. Ethiopian with 3c hair. i called and was assigned to Jason. he has his own appointment calendar app you can log into and everything. i had a easy cut but it had been about 6 months. he faded and lined up my sides and gave me a mild Mohawk, like i like and i walked out sharp. PLUS he let me use venmo, so the whole experience was pretty convenient. the barber shop itself was nice, in a fun neighborhood, with awesome food, and easy parking behind the building and on the street. the atmosphere is awesome, especially if you like watching sports channel and smack talking. LGBT: no one made me feel uncomfortable being gay and i am pretty obvious. plus i swear i saw an LGBT employee come in for something, so i feel like this place has got to be safe. read more
