We've tried so many barbers, but Jose is the only one who can properly fade my son's light brown hair. He's quick, methodical, and makes my son feel like a he's one of the guys every time. As a mom this is a huge plus in my opinion. The entire team at the shop is amazing - super friendly and welcoming. Despite some of the negative reviews, I enjoy coming to The Shop not only because it's near my house but the guys there are courteous and efficient (in my honest opinon). You have two ways of getting a hair cut: by appointment or walk-in. I like spontaneously getting my hair cut, so the walk-in option is what I usually go for. I've waited about 30mins each time I've visited here, which is not too bad of a wait if you're flexible with your schedule. I've been a loyal customer to Prestige Barber shop over in Manhattan Beach. My barber Tony has been cutting my hair since I was in middle school. Due to covid 19 they decided to increase the prices to 45 dollars for a hair cut due to all the business they lost. I told myself it's time to "let it go Elsa" I was driving in my old Neighborhood and found "At The Shop" so I decided to try it out. Jose cut my hair/beard and did a fantastic job. I can tell he cuts hair good because he's phone didn't stop ring for appointments. Jose must of booked at least 7 appointments as I was there. My boyfriend has been coming here since they opened with no issues and came here to get a haircut today. As his normal barber was not there, he made the terrible mistake of giving someone else a try (Sosavvy). He made an appointment and was sent a text to confirm his appointment time. Trying to be a good customer, he arrived 15 minutes early for his appointment, only to receive a text message, as he watched someone else sit down with his "new barber", being told that his appointment was CANCELLED!! I was a little hesitant in trying out a new barbershop as anyone else would be, but Alex made sure i left satisfied. I was lucky to get Alex for my first cut and now he's been cutting my hair for the last two years and i couldn't be more happier. My regular barber moved and I was looking for a new one. Well, I found one, Danny is a great barber. I wanted a nice looking fade and I got one. I never had a fade before where the barber used a razor, zero clipper fade on the sides and back with a razor used to finish the fade and a little off the top. Danny took the time to cut my hair right according to how I wanted it. He is young but he's been cutting hair for a long time. I will return, he is now my official new barber. read more

I came in and the guy was finishing up so I went into cali games for no more than 5 minutes and I mentioned I would be waiting there. I came back and the barber already took someone else. I wouldn't call this place racist but they prioritize Hispanics before any other. I would give 5 stars for their skills in haircuts but they don't have the integrity to be a good barbershop.
