This place really doesn't care about customer service and is selective of their clients. Its not a classy place filled with respect and ethics like most places. I made an appointment and they kept me and my son waiting for an hour. I was desperate because he had his bday the next day so we waited to get my son's haircut. He even charged me full price for making an appointment. They did not even apologize and I feel like they were intentionally trying to provoke or anger me so I don't come back. Ive been going to Ray for a good couple of years now. He doesnt have attitude, respectful, listens to what haircut you want. The haircuts are always lined up good, fade is fresh. And if you have thinner hair or are receding...... Ray does a very good job of working around that and making you look normal lol. Nothing against the other main guys in here, SOMETIMES they can display attitude and you dont feel welcome. I didnt feel like that with Ray just being 100% honest ! This barber shop is great! My 4yo son and I needed haircuts before a wedding and a road trip this weekend, but our regular barber was out of town. I was late getting home from a meeting, and most barber shops were already closed. I needed to find a barber shop that was open later could fit in me and my son with a 7:30pm arrival. As luck would have it, this barber shop was open until 8pm, and when I called ahead to inquire, they said there were six people ahead of us, but if we went in and waited, they would gladly stay after closing time to give us both haircuts. Amazing! We arrived and sat down, waited our turn, and had the pleasure of having our haircuts by Christian. He cut my hair first -- starting about eight minutes after closing time -- and it turned out great. He even gave me a nice beard trim, and shaped it up. My son had his haircut next, and it turned out amazingly. Christian finished our haircuts a few minutes before 9pm. When we left, the barbers were still there, cutting people's hair until everybody -- even people who arrived after us! -- got their haircuts. When we got home, and my son was excited to show off his stylish haircut to Mama. Thank you Christian for staying an hour after closing to cut our hair! We appreciate it very much. Super solid barber shop. A lot of the barbers here are competent and friendly. Much like a typical barber shop, this place often has barbershop talk and it's always fun to listen to or join in on. My go-to guy here is Chris - he's punctual, sharp and professional. Tom here is also very good and is a super cool dude but our availability doesn't often line up so I don't work with him any more. I came in last weekend and they noticed that I was having a hard time settling him down during his haircut and they asked if there is a something that can put on for him to keep him at ease and ended up putting one of his favorite shows Bluey . Press Box was recommended to my by one of my friends who has gotten a haircut there once. Let me just say, from the moment I walked in, it was very clean, and the people were very nice. I did the best I could cutting my husbands hair during the quarantine, but he really needed a REAL haircut!! His regular place was all booked up, so we searched yelp for another option and found this place. Super clean, sanitizing everything down to the chair before he sat down. It's a cool mix of modern (the Lakers court on the floor) and the classic barber shop. I went to the press box for the first time today to get my hair cut because our religious holiday is coming up and I wanted to look good. I thought they would do a good job, but when I got there, there were already three people waiting, and I had to wait for an hour and a half to get my hair cut. I even showed the barber pictures on my phone of how I wanted my hair cut, but they still messed it up. I paid $35, and despite that, they didn't even do it right. Came in mid day on a Friday and they were pretty busy but the wait wasn't too long. Place is clean, vibe is chill, and the AC felt nice on a warm day. I had Chris (I think?) and he did a great job.
