    This years lights

Here are 2 photos of the same tree one is from last year, one is from this year. I hope the crew from last year shows up next year, cause this years crew seemed rushed.

    Pete J.

Great service and did what they said. And the price was better than some company's with no experience or references. Looks great and lights up the house for security.

This a daytime view but it still shows the quality of workmanship.

Another great holiday light installation. We expanded the scope to wrap the entire house and couldn't be happier! The team at Landscape Illumination is very friendly, prompt and really strives to make things look amazing! Well worth the money, I am a customer for life.

So, we purchased a new home a few months back that has landscape lights that turn on & off automatically. Last week, we noticed that they were not turning on. We did not even know where the control panel for the landscape lights was located. We went through some paperwork that was left and found an estimate that was prepared about 10 years ago. It was not signed by the homeowner, but we were assuming that since they kept it, this must be who put the lights in. My husband left a message for Landscape Illumination. On April 27, 2021, my husband received a prompt text from Darrin (we now know Darrin Selking is the owner) wanting to schedule a time to come out. A time was never scheduled, so my husband sent another text and it was at that time the owner informed us that he already had a technician that was going to be coming to our house that afternoon. We were pretty put out that an appointment was not set. I scrambled to make sure that I was here to let somebody in because Darrin said they needed to access the garage. We were hoping the box would be on the exterior of the house and this way they could just service it from the outside. A very nice technician by the name of Zach showed up that afternoon. He asked if I knew where the box was and I said, "I am thinking it's in the garage because Darrin said you need to get in there". Sure enough, he went right to it and I felt like a complete idiot because all that it needed was for the GFCI to be reset. He was literally in & out of my garage in 2 minutes. If I had known where to look for the box, we could've very easily pushed the reset button. To not make it a complete waste of time, Zach took the timer panel and reset it because the timing was all off. I never signed anything. Just thanked him for his help and he left. The very next day on April 28, 2021, my husband receives an invoice for $95 for a service call by email. My husband texted Darrin & asked if the lifetime warranty included the service visit (again, the unsigned estimate was the only piece of paperwork we had for the system and it indicated that there was a lifetime warranty with a 15 year warranty on the bulbs). Instead of replying back and informing us that the warranty does not cover the cost of a service call, Darrin 's response was "people don't work for free". We were stunned at his response. We still are. Maybe he's angry because of all of the lawsuits and civil torts that have been filed against him & his company in Porter County, IN over the years? (Check out the IN online docket. It's public record) How are we supposed to know if we don't ask? We just purchased the home and were not here for the estimate or the install. If you look at the website for Landscape Illumination out of Valparaiso, Indiana, you will see they advertise maintenance packages. For all we know, the previous homeowner could've added one of those on within the last year. Right away Mr. Selking just assumes that we are trying to weasel our way out of paying for a service visit. That is so NOT the case and that is so NOT who we are. I am sending the $95 payment to Mr. Selking today because we owe it. We called for help and they provided it, but you can be sure it will be the last red cent that he sees from us. Not because his products are not quality, not because his technician was bad, but because of his rude and ignorant comments. I am posting the texts as proof of just how nasty he became from a simple question and you can decide for yourself if you want to deal with this person. Reading other reviews on Google and yelp, confirms that we are not the only ones to feel his wrath. I'm sure he's very nice when he's taking your money. He talks in his text about respecting peoples time and resources. Where was his respect for our time when he scheduled his technician to come out and did not even inform us what day/time he would be here? By the way, my husband still has not received a return call back to address his rude comments. It's funny too, because we had called this company when we first moved in about putting up a holiday display for us, but we decided to hold off since some family came down with Covid & we couldn't have a normal gathering. We are hoping to do it this year, but Landscape Illumination will not be putting that display up for us.

They handled the installation of…read moreour whole-home Generac standby generator, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, reliable, and extremely detail-oriented. What impressed us most was how seriously they took the safety of our home and family. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was installed correctly, up to code, and operating safely. They took the time to carefully inspect the electrical work, answer all of our questions, and make sure we understood how everything worked. That gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing our home was protected with a properly installed backup power system. We also had electrical and lighting upgrades completed as part of our home remodel, and the results were fantastic. They helped us with the lighting installation and electrical work to make sure everything was safe, functional, and looked great. Their attention to detail throughout the project really stood out. If you're looking for a trusted electrician or electrical contractor for a Generac generator installation, whole-home standby generator, lighting upgrade, home remodel, or residential electrical work, I highly recommend Amps & Volts Electric. It's not easy to find contractors who combine quality workmanship, professionalism, communication, safety, and attention to detail -- but Amps & Volts Electric absolutely delivered. They genuinely cared about doing the job right and making sure our home was safe, and that means a lot. We would definitely use them again for future electrical projects!

That kind of tells me they will be overpriced. They did not tell me of they charge until they were out. I paid it but it seems a little weird. I will update when I see the quote, but right now for that it will be a 1 star. Adding on to this in response to peyton email. Thank you for your response and for refunding the $69 dispatch fee. I do want to clarify that I had no issue at all with your technician. He was very professional, and my review was not intended as a criticism of him or the service he provided while at my home. My concern was with the dispatch fee. Whether it was mentioned during the scheduling call or not, my underlying point was that I have had several contractors come to my home to quote work and have not encountered a separate dispatch fee simply to provide an estimate. As I stated, I also intended to revisit my review after the process was complete. Based on the professionalism of your technician and the fact that I felt your quote was reasonable, I would have given your company a much higher rating. That is why I find the decision to simply decline the work somewhat surprising. Rather than discussing my concern and allowing the overall experience to play out, you have chosen not to even consider moving forward with the project. From a customer's perspective, declining work because someone questioned a fee and expressed an opinion about it does not come across as particularly professional. I appreciate the refund, but I wanted to make sure my position was clear. My concern was never with your technician or the quality of his interaction with me. In fact, his professionalism and your reasonable quote had left me with a much more positive impression of your company before receiving this response.

We had planned a party just to be told to postpone it a whole year. 27 Entertainment understand the situation we were forced into and held on tight for the adventure that was a 1 year postponement. Patrick, my husband, was in charge of picking a DJ. To him flowers, food, venue didn't matter much as long as the music was great. And when our day finally came he chose right, 27 Entertainment did not disappoint. When I say our wedding was a dance party fueled with my favorite songs...that's exactly what it was. The energy this company provides is ridiculous. I danced the night away to songs we selected but mixed by the talented Matt! And I tried to keep up with Sterling's energy and amazing dance moves he was sending THE WHOLE TIME. If you are hesitant, don't be. There is a reason this company has this many 5 star reviews. They're the best of the best! Thanks you two!

Highly recommend booking 27 entertainment if you are looking to regret your DJ years down the line…read more I had 27 entertainment do my wedding in September 2023. I'm also still waiting for a phone call back. Upon booking, I had great communication. I was obviously excited, considering all the great reviews. It was roughly 1.5 weeks out from our wedding. Crickets didn't hear anything form anyone. I had to reach aid touch base to talk to someone (who ended up being our DJ) Upon arrival to our reception our party bus driver was running 15 minutes late, in return really bothered the DJ and he made it well known. I had spent hours adding the music to the app that 27 entertainment sent me to download that we wanted played. Dinner music (half of which that was not even played) must play and do not plays. As the bride, I asked the DJ to play a song during the reception. In which he told me "I already played that." I heard less than half of the songs I was told to pick up and put on the app they use. I wouldn't have wasted hours of my time selecting and adding music if I would've known it wasn't going to be played. Not to mention, shortly after the reception started DJs back speaker blew and we had several guests walk up to us stating they couldn't hear anything at the back of our venue. I will say the uploading that was available was very nice. Finally, at the end of the night the DJ started playing what we asked for. We finally had guests out on the dance floor, so my husband offered to pay him cash for an extra hour considering leading up to this was not going well. I reached out to 27 entertainment a few weeks after my wedding just to let them know of what had happened. I was very clear. I did not want to refund or any money back. I just wanted to let somebody know of the issues. I was told on the phone " well, your event has obviously came and gone so we can't take it back. But I'll talk to the DJ and I'll get back to you never wants a sorry this is not our standard. Almost 3 years later. I'm waiting for a follow up from 27 entertainment. Looking back I wish I would have booked a different DJ. It was a $2800 letdown. However, decided to go with 27 entertainment due to all the positive reviews.
