Another sprinkler that was removed that gushed every night at 4am for a week.

Very disappointed. Honestly, I try to never write bad reviews because I understand people make mistakes. But this situation has really upset me. Read to the end to understand how great service went to terrible results and wasted money. Back in July, my wife and I had an emergency irrigation leak that we needed fixed right away. We had a pipe burst outside our home, leading from the water line to our valves. They responded quickly and seemed friendly. We were very happy with the work they did even though we paid extra for their emergency Sunday rate. While at our house that day, they also suggested we should change our irrigation from sprinklers to a drip system to save water and money. We agreed and let them proceed the next week. We thought they were very knowledgeable and helpful. However... since then, each thing that they worked on has been breaking and flooding. Two days after the work was performed I called back saying my yard was flooding because their new valve had burst off. Tim sent someone out to fix it right away for free. However, when my plants started dying a week later I finally figured out that the water line had been left 80% shut after we were told he had checked the repair and it was good to go. Since then, I've found out that the drip lines were NOT done as discussed, so I manually turned all the sprinklers on. I had multiple fountains of water shooting up from sprinkler heads they removed. Now, even the original pipe that they fixed has burst again leaving a bigger flood and a big hole. They've been extremely unresponsive. I texted the owner twice (on separate occasions) with pictures of more flooding issues that they did not fix the first time around. I have received no response. Then my wife called and left a voicemail for the owner telling him that we've been trying to get in touch with him and would appreciate a call back. Again, we received no response. All I can do now is look for another irrigation company to pay all over again to fix their $700+ mess. Just a warning to anyone needing a quick emergency fix... this is what we dealt with. :(

Called them out, received an estimate which I approved and they just disappeared. Tried calling and texting with no answer.

Wasted my time as we've met and communicated about this project for a month and this now puts me back. Besides that, poor communication, takes a couple, sometimes a few days to respond so either is busy or doesn't want to talk to you for whatever reason. Another disappointing landscaper experience.

Third Heaven Review…read more This review is long overdue - Third Heaven began two of our projects during COVID-19. Both our projects were completed by July 2023. In March of 2022, our first project with Third Heaven was to lay a concrete pad for an Endless Pool, install the stone skirting and pavers around the pool, along with other details. It was a huge job in which Juan Carlos Marquez and his team had to work with the pool installer/contractor (separate from Third Heaven) who was NOT as dependable and easy to work with as Third Heaven and Juan Carlos. Nevertheless, Juan Carlos was patient and diplomatic as well as efficient and flexible as he met every challenge the job presented. The results were fantastic! In February of 2023, our second project was the landscaping of the rest of our yard. I had a design in mind to which Juan Carlos was very attentive and kindly made suggestions that helped significantly. He was very forthcoming with prices and affordability as well as keeping us informed of material delays. He was also very patient with me as I asked questions and presented ideas about details I hadn't thought about during the planning process. Here are the highlights that would be very important to me if I needed to find a landscaper (which I don't - I'm hooked on Third Heaven Landscaping :)) Dependable and Honest - Juan Carlos, Third Heaven's owner is true to his word. To me this is invaluable when dealing with any professional. I knew what to expect and when to expect it. He is friendly, amicable, diplomatic, considerate, and very dependable. When there were delays, he let me know as soon as he knew. We never heard excuses or felt deceived. The team he had working on our property was also very dependable and professional. Listens - Juan Carlos listened to my plan and offered helpful suggestions. I was never put off if I wanted to do things my way, nor did I feel he resented me "sticking to my guns". He enabled me to appreciate him making points if he thought one of my ideas might not work. However, he was interested in making sure I was happy with the outcome; of which I undeniably delighted!! Good Ideas - Juan Carlos made suggestions that were helpful. For example, I went with a composite bark for ground cover after he brought me some bark samples. The composite really DID look natural and was considerably less expensive. Also, I had some stepping- stones from my yard that I wanted to use in my rose garden - but couldn't figure out the layout. One of the Third Heaven team members laid them out perfectly. Putting lights in our patio and pool steps was also a brilliant suggestion. I am especially grateful when I have to go out and check on things after dark - much safer than a flashlight and so much prettier! There were a lot of little details which the Third Heaven team and Juan Carlos enhanced the aesthetics of my garden. Accommodates Schedules - Juan Carlos worked with and around COVID-19 and contractor issues, our work schedules, personal events, and travel schedules. He did all that he could to make sure that we were comfortable with what was on the schedule. Follows Up - In all things, Juan Carlos followed up on all arrangements and contract obligations. We appreciate that he did many check-ins to make sure we were happy with the finished project. In closing, we HIGHLY recommend Third Heaven Landscaping and are very happy with their expertise, dependability and being as kind and accommodating to us during our landscaping projects. We truly feel that Juan Carlos Marquez and Third Heaven Landscaping went above and beyond our expectations.

Honest, reliable, approachable, and HIGHLY knowledgeable…read more I am so happy to have finally found a truly *integrative* landscaping firm that will create thoughtful design plans AND implement them meticulously. I love that I can rely on them to handle virtually everything my house needs. Chris, the company owner, has been nothing short of remarkable. In addition to holding a horticulture degree from Cal Poly and having run his own nursery, he has a team that can handle everything from hardscaping to irrigation to electrical to biweekly maintenance. What I love about Carmel Point Landscapes is their highly dependable "no job is too big or too small" approach. They are super organized and always return my calls and show up when they say they will. Chris is willing to help me with everything from design plans featuring California natives to stone selection for hardscapes to even weed identification. (His knowledge is truly encyclopedic!) I have found that while other design-and-build firms used to turn their noses up at certain random jobs (e.g. replacing sump pump housing), Chris' team HANDLES EVERYTHING with enthusiasm and precision. And while other companies would sometimes exaggerate their expertise in one specific area, Chris operates with complete transparency. When I wanted to have some very complex landscapes stairs installed (super long rise, flagstone, curved, with terracing and built-in-lighting and needing rebar-enforce concrete base), Chris was open about the fact that his crew hadn't done a stair project quite that specialized before, and he connected me with a top notch mason and on top of that, Chris was willing to coordinate the whole project. Also, for such a highly professional, integrative landscaping firm focused on the Carmel market, I have found the pricing quite reasonable. As they say in engineering, "you can have two of the three: good, fast, or cheap." Carmel Point Landscapes manifests the GOOD and the FAST, in addition to superb communication and just overall great friendly how-can-I-help-you-today vibes. In a nutshell, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
