I went to a seminar that Jason hosted on SI, and I'd be shocked if I found someone more personable (and kinda funny) who could better explain all the levels, scenarios and complex areas to consider in estate planning for your family. He even gave his number and WhatsApp for further questions. He gets back to all these people who aren't even his clients. (If you do not plan ahead -- the government and long-term care / health insurance needs will GET you, and everything you worked for. So sad.) He gave a 90-min dinner presentation to over 100 people, then offered everyone a free, personalized hour-plus consultation in depth with a paralegal to visualize your plan and assets. The latter is $300+ with other lawyers. For most basic set-ups, I don't think you'd work with Jason directly, (though I think he's involved somewhere), but you seem to get what you need from anyone at his firm. They do not pressure you. And they answer any concerns very promptly. He knows that many of those 100+ people at the seminar will end their experience at the (really) good dinner and much-needed education, and he's OK with that. So I thought I'd write a review.

The gist: I met with the attorney for maybe 1 hour and 15 minutes total--~15 minutes beyond the initial consultation, received a fee contract for the work recommended, and traded a number of emails (primarily with their "Caregiver Advocate") over a period of several months as my family tried to understand what was urgent and what was not. After determining our ultimate needs, I eliminated work from the original scope. Instead of adjusting their fees downward, they increased them by ~40%. Less work, more cost? Finally, I did sign the original agreement (which included the work that I did not need) and the firm refused to honor it.
