I believe his name is Aaron (longish black hair) because he is such a fantastic hype man! He is always bubbly and enthusiastic, and makes me feel so good about my purchases. I generally dread small talk interactions at check-outs, but he makes it genuinely enjoyable. The store itself is great too. If you like to shop at places like Marshall's, Sierra, TJ Maxx, etc., this is definitely the best version of them. I appreciate that the clothes are actually organized, and they have one of the best shoe selections of any store. The prices are generally good and reasonable, but the clearance prices are often extreme deals with the caveat of very limited selection (obviously though, since it's clearance). They also have a really good selection of skin care, hair care, and make up. Those are the discounts I often end up appreciating the most!

I wasn't sure if I wanted another pair of boots or a jacket as I already had a bunch of jackets and boots already. They a very limited selection of boots that were my size. But this time I was helped by an employee. Although they had a limited selection of boots, they happened to have a boot that I liked. I was also browsing at coats and was again assisted by another employee. Did I walk in on a lucky day or did their customer service change for the better? Today I was treated good. Their cash register was a little slow as a long line was starting to form but I patiently waited. I conditioned my new boots and wore them. I'm happy. They need stock up on different sizes of boots though.

I ended up with quite a collection of great work outfits! Today, I came in again, this time in search of overalls for a halloween costume (and everyday wear, so not an obvious costume). The salesgirls once again went above and beyond, finding the one pair left in the store, and it happened to be my size! I tried them on and they fit absolutely perfect. It was a last minute decision to go to there this evening and I was not really that excited about shopping...that is until I met Jessica, Denice, and Ciara. I seriously could say this is by far one of the most fun times I have had shopping for clothes. First, the customer service was spot on. They never let me have too many items in my hand by consistently, but not annoyingly, asking if I would like them to take the clothes back to the dressing room. While I was browsing, Ciara cunningly was watching my style and types of clothes I was choosing. This enabled her to pick out pieces and ask if I had seen or considered that item. Second, Jessica, Ciara, and Denise even arranged all the items I had chosen into outfits they thought would look well together. It was incredible! They showed me how things could be mixed and matched all by just hanging them up in the changing room! They showed me not only trendy, but sassy ways of thinking about dressing that could work both for casual or business wear. Denice was so knowledgeable about the specifics and ins and outs of clothing. It was clear that not only has she been doing this for a while, but that she has a passion for her work. Lastly, they said they would love it if I would show them all the outfits as I tried them on, so, what the heck! I felt like a little model (LOL)! They were so kind, funny, and honest about everything I tried on. They were there for anything I needed, whether it was to get some advice or to get something in a different size. When I was ready to check out, Jessica had a smile on her face and said she could see that I could not find anything I liked... she is hysterical! I loved Maurices clothes before, but this experience has me sold! I believe this type of customer service really ensures that customers feel at home and as if they are special. I know that I will be back to that store, I mean it was like having my own personal shoppers! ;o) They did a stellar job and I can't wait to go back for some more Spring shopping!

We're not 21 nor do I want to go backwards. I recently found a steal on a new pair of supportive shoes for work here that are a fraction of what I usually pay for at Scheels. They should be delivered within the week so I'll have to pop in for an update since my Yelp friend reported back for a poor online experience. I updated my Arizona Birks and I found the cutest pair of wedge sandals for my Summer dresses. I hadn't been here since I was in high-school looking for JA shoes and I'm glad I opened an email with a promo. I got a deal on all three pairs that I went back online and bought more shoes. I chose to pickup in store since I had to take care of some business at a bank nearby. The overall experience was okay. Both ladies working the counter were just okay. Neither were very welcoming, but not completely rude. I may opt out for an online experience to avoid these unnecessary encounters. The Deals are great. Sign up for their notifications. It saved me 20% off my entire order.

Woven Loafer - Finally found one I liked at Dillards, except for the color. There were NO woven loafers here at all. Okay, I just ordered 4 shoes online and it did NOT go through! Called the toll free # - Customer service (Vern) was good and helped us order. Will update after receiving shoes. Update - Got the shoes and they looked worn... Tried to reorder online, but again, I had issues... So I called customer service and asked for NEW pairs/reordered. Again, good service, but we will see what gets shipped. Update 2 - Now I am up to my 6th pair. Sadly, I had so many issues with the shoes not being new, the shoes were being shipped from so many different places, arriving on different days/times, and one never delivered, even though their website said they were delivered. If you buy different brands of shoes, and from different countries, all sizes are NOT equal... Some run larger, some smaller, etc. This is one of the reasons I am NOT an online customer. Defeats the purpose of "convenience." And I actually feel guilty returning all the wrong shoes. Also, there were so many difficulties with online ordering. Again, calling in service was good. Return service was good. Atmosphere - Good size, clean organized. Memorial Day promotion, other promotions, see pictures or website. Veteran & military discounts, see picture or website.
