Not only that, they had found a tub that would fit in our space that we did not find before. They were clear about the workflow, responsibilities, and accountability. They were fair on price considering the risk they were taking doing work after someone else. I don't feel they marked it up to account for that risk. As the work began, we found more issues. They came up with solutions promptly, again transparently and timely. They sent pictures as they did work, and justified any proposals for change. I hired this general contractor expecting professional workmanship and clear communication, but…read moreunfortunately the experience was the opposite from start to finish. The quality of the work was extremely disappointing. Basic construction standards were not followed, and several parts of the project had obvious workmanship issues that had to be pointed out repeatedly. Even after raising concerns, the corrections were either incomplete or done carelessly, which created even more problems later. Delays were constant throughout the project. Deadlines were missed over and over with little to no explanation, and the schedule seemed to change whenever it was convenient for the contractor. What should have been a straightforward timeline stretched far longer than promised. Communication was also a major issue. Calls and messages often went unanswered, and updates were rarely provided unless I repeatedly asked for them. As a client investing a significant amount into the project, it felt like there was very little transparency or accountability. Most frustrating was the clear lack of care for both the client and the final product. The job often felt poorly managed, with the contractors given to little or no instructions by the owner to get the job done. The owner of HHM Custom Homes said the project would take two months, but 9 months later it's not even 50% complete and my house is in shambles. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that others carefully consider their options before hiring this contractor. A construction project requires trust, reliability, and quality workmanship, and unfortunately this experience fell short on all three. **** In response to HHM Custom Homes: The project from the very beginning was to gut the home. The water leaking down the walls and ceiling is due to poor workmanship and constant change of sub contractors because YOU did not honor your contract with them!
