No power steering. No power anywhere. And a serpentine belt that had come off. I contacted my AAA agent to see what they could do and after calling every local towing service they contract with and being unable to find anyone to accept my job, the AAA agent reached out to H & K Towing. A company based in the next County that was already busy with local runs due to their outstanding reputation. I was put on hold each time the agent made calls and all the other towing companies refused to take my job. For various reasons. It was around a 180 mile drive round trip. After 7 pm. H & K accepted. Not only did H & K save us and agree to drive all of us home, the driver/owner, Jim, arrived sooner than expected and it was a joy for us to ride and talk with him for an hour and a half. This is a decades old family owned company and, instead of bothering any other employee with this late, long Sunday call, Jim took the run! The truck was clean and well kept. We felt safe and secure.The service provided was fast and professional, yet with a personal "next door neighbor come to help" kind of feeling that made you thankful H & K Towing was the company to save our day. The B & J Towing Service owner and his tow truck driver Bill were exceptionally professional and compassionate in providing above and beyond service. Both arrived at the accident scene within 30 minutes of our insurance contacting them. She was at a loss for transportation to the rental car company, and the owner graciously provided her a ride to the airport in Columbus, Ohio to get her rental. He then provided her with additional information about where her car was going and covering the process of getting the car to the repair facility. He told her was very familiar with the body shop stating they do excellent work. Additionally, The owner was out on personal business and responded with his driver to help, I cannot say enough about him and his business as it also represents contributing to research and cures for cancer.
