We were told the roofers would use an elevated collection bin for the roofing to avoid damaging the landscaping and surrounding area. Didn't happen. Roofing was completed, driveway and landscaping were damaged. Asked about the schedule for siding, gutters and additional building. No answer. Month later part of the side was done, the contractor loaded up the remaining new box of siding and left. Notified Prominent immediately what was happening but nothing was done. Hired a lawyer who sent a letter to Prominent but neither him or I received a response. My attorney said for me to "keep track of every call/text/email". Two months later the remaining wall was sided but not without damaging our water feature in the landscape. The gutters were to be completed just a couple days after the siding but didn't happen for another two months. We had seamless gutters and the replacement gutters were apparently seamless but used prefabricated corners which created seams. Not what we had. Took another month before addressing the additional building. Well over 50 text/emails and over 40 calls in order to get the job done. Lots of no answers, misinformation, and extreme frustration.

When I asked him what company it was with, he said "Pro Roofing & Inspections". I scheduled the appointment for 8/21/2023 (only to find out what company was behind this intrusive call). He called me back from a different # on 8/19/23 to confirm the appointment and then. A couple hours later, I received a text message (from a totally different #) reminder of the appointment. At no time did I agree to receive text messages. None of the 3 different phone numbers were able to be called back. On 8/21/2023, "PJ" from Earth Friendly Builders LLC showed up at my door with his son (I have the encounter on video). I explained to him that I did not need a roof inspection and inquired about the call. He told me they had a call center that calls residents in storm areas to set appointments for their roofers. My phone number has been on the National Do Not call Registry since 2006 and it is unlawful to call my wireless # without my consent. This company is breaking the law in order to gain customers! I would not recommend using this company, or any other company, that disregards the laws set forth to protect the consumers that they claim to be trying to help. I also encourage everyone to report this company to the regulating authorities! To date, this company has chosen to ignore this issue.

Our Field Manager, Jeremiah, came to the house to give us an estimate for a new roof and gutter guards. Our roof was in need of a serious overhaul. Jeremiah explained the entire roofing process, materials and why certain things would need to be done certain ways - which left me confident that the estimate was accurate, fair and exactly what I would need to get the job done right. He even brought multiple single sample colors so I could pick the perfect one for the house and then got us on his calendar within A WEEK. The materials arrived on time and were put in a place that was convenient for us. The Metro crew that did the roof was amazing. They were SO FAST! The entire house roof and garage were done in ONE DAY. I couldn't believe it. The workers were great - nice and considerate. They did an amazing job cleaning up as well. We haven't found a single nail or piece of trash larger than shingle dust after they were done cleaning up the job. Two weeks later they came out and cleaned out the gutters and put gutter guards on. Done quickly and on time. AWESOME! I can't say enough what great work Metro and Jeremiah did for us! I'm now not worried every time it rains that our roof is gonna leak and knowing I don't have to clean out gutters ever again makes me so happy. Thanks Jeremiah and Metro!!

SMA Exteriors redid my roof in 2024 after a hail storm. In 2025 I discovered water leaking into my…read moregarage where the roof and gutter meet the wall. Turns out they never installed a kickout flashing/bump out in that spot. When I called, they came back and added it for free, but told me there "wasn't one there before" when they did the roof. To me that admits they knew it should have been there. Kickout flashing costs cents and is basic code/best practice to prevent water intrusion. Because it was missing, water ran behind the siding and rotted the wall sheathing. I had to tear off drywall in the garage and found the damage. When I asked SMA to help, they said it's not covered under warranty and isn't their fault. Their reasoning was the damage is "old" because there was never flashing there originally. My response: if the job was done correctly in 2024, we wouldn't be debating old vs new damage. I didn't open the wall until a year after their work, and the sheeting was rotten underneath. I spoke with owner Steve. He said, "we can agree to disagree" and that they aren't willing to help. When I asked why his crews or project manager missed this, he said they notice and add kickouts now, but "must not have known to add them before." Meanwhile my garage has water damage from work they did, and they aren't concerned with helping a past client. To make it worse, this house was purchased from a friend. SMA tried to use that against me, implying they would've helped the previous owner but not me because "my name isn't on it." That's a terrible way to stand behind your work. I've read their responses to other bad reviews - lots of talk about how long they've been in business and how they "treat everyone right." Yet multiple people are saying the same thing: issues get denied and not fixed. Stuff happens in construction. The difference between a good company and a bad one is whether they fix mistakes they caused. The most ironic part: this is a company that will argue with insurance that damage isn't "old" when it benefits them, but the moment a homeowner questions them, suddenly everything is "old damage." Can't have it both ways. Plenty of honest roofers in the area who will actually fix their mistakes instead of walking away. Look elsewhere

Two guys from this company made a huge mess, leaving nails and debris in the alley. I drove by to get to my house, the only way for me to get home, and one of their roofing nails punctured the sidewall of my front tire. Immediately after driving by and arriving home I noticed the nail. I walked back to the garage later on and found another one of the EXACT SAME roofing nails that I found in my tire, so don't tell me it wasn't your nail! I drive an AWD Subaru and the tire couldn't be patched, so I was required to buy a set of 4 new tires. I was told that they would pay for 1/2 of the expense, but this happened a month ago and I still haven't seen anything. Can't get a hold of anybody in the company whenever I call and it sounds like the owner doesn't come in for long periods of time. Maybe if they did, things like this wouldn't happen. $800.00 down the drain because of this company's negligence and inability to clean up after themselves. Unprofessional and unresponsive- take your business somewhere else! Take accountability and compensate me for the damage you caused! UPDATE: The owner of this company, Steve, agreed to pay for part of the four tires, but not until I take this post down and come in to sign paperwork that I won't post bad reviews about the company. We had such a great experience with Incline Exteriors. We've had leaking in our garage for 2 years,…read moreand have had Safe Basements, a landscaper, another general contractor all come out to try to fix it. No luck, and the wood had started rotting. We were really scared. I called Incline and they put me in touch with Pete, who is the nicest young man. He is so fast with communication - he responds within a couple of hours via email. He came right over, measured and gave me an immediate estimate - all the while telling me that he didn't think him installing gutters would fix the issue. I mean, he could have just sold me gutters, but they're HONEST people. So I ended up buying the gutters because I'd tried everything else, and they were very reasonably priced. Fast installation, and my husband just looked at them - they installed gutter guards without us even requesting them! That was such a nice surprise. So I had them out again to see if they could troubleshoot the leak. Within 10 minutes, the guy seemed to isolate the issue and made a recommendation. My husband just fixed it and the leak stopped. So Incline saved us a ton of trouble and money by just being good guys. Finally, I cross a dangerous intersection with my children everyday which is near their business. They're the most considerate drivers, and always pause to look for pedestrians in the crosswalk. I know that might be a silly thing to point out, but their attention to safety is important. They didn't follow up, i had to call them to try to get a price, and when i did get a hold of them they forgot about my bid, then just gave me oral guess 2500-3800K for my project and then call me back later the same day to give me another oral guesstimate of 6500-7000 K for roof repairs. They seemed unorganized, lazy, and didn't want to do my project. It would've been better if they declined early instead of wasting my time and theirs.
