DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. My car was taken in for a chirp noise it was making. We picked up the car and my husband found a zip tie was used instead of a clamp, we had a new oil leak because he "forgot" to connect a hose, and now my car needs to be towed home because he attempted to replace a head gasket and failed. He had my car for weeks and now we can't get anything from him besides "it's an old car". My car has 60k miles on it. Now I have to go to another mechanic somehow to fix his negligence. read more

I recently found out that the rear main seal that I paid him 500.00 to fix was never done, yes the car kept leaking oil but I really thought no way would he say he did it if he didn't. But its true he just parked the car outside in a different spot and told me it was done. The mechanic in sprgs that I'm taking it to now told me the seal was leaking and could not of been replaced back in June 2021 so I'm now going to take him to small claims court if he wont give me the 500.00 back so I can use it to help get it done this time which is going to cost 1300.00 and 11 hrs to fix not the 3 hrs he tried to tell me it took him. He's the kind of guy who gives mechanics a bad name and its a shame. Make sure you do your home work when going to someone you don't know. read more

I had a wreck and he was able to fix right away, since i live 2 hours away, however he put a wrong part on the car that needed to be replaced. I talked to him about it and he denied that he replaced that part. After i highlighted the invoice with the new invoice and a picture of the part, he never got back to me. Nice that he was able to fix in 24 hours, but crappy that he put on a part that i had to replace and didnt acknowledge his mistake or reimburse any of the cost i had to repay to get it right. read more

DONT GO TO LAKE AUTO!!!! 5 weeks ago I took my 2000 Honda CRV here. They tell me it needs a head gasket.. 950$. 1 week goes by.. Parts were delayed from Texas. 2 weeks go by.. No communication.. The 3Rd week I call them, he says it will be done by Wednesday.. I say good..I'll be going camping Friday.. Friday rolls around I have to call them again. He is currently working on it.. I'm getting frustrated at this point.. Tell him I'll be by Tuesday to pu. When I pu..the car runs like shit.. He says he did make a favor putting cap, plugs, and wires on it although it runs like shit he said it was good to go..the #4 cylinder lost compression from overheating and he says the more I drive it the more compression should come back. I took it back the next day.. Two weeks go by and my CRV sits in the lot the whole time w the wheel turned how I left it.. Told them I needed it by a Tuesday to go back to work..Wednesday comes and no one will answer the phone.. So I walk over there..and he tells me the same thing about the compression.. I immediately took it to another mechanic... So another 430$ and come to find out Lake auto didn't adjust my valves when they put the headgasket back together.. Please don't use Lake Auto.. This guy Tony is the worse mechanic I've ever met, he will lie to you, not complete his work, and he even sabotaged your car to give you more problems if he hears you have complained. Had him replace my gas tank and 2 days later a strap falls off and I thought the rear end came apart, he apologized and offered to fix it but I did it myself because driving it anymore I could have lost the whole tank. Decided to give him another chance (since not many classic car mechanics in pueblo) but that was a mistake, he heard I had complained about the gas tank problem I guess because when I took the care in to get the idol fixed I realized on the way home it was running as bad if not worse and called to complain but he didn't answer the phone. A couple days later I realized my head lights, windshield wipers, and turn signal light didn't work anymore because he had unplugged them, what a guy!!!!!! Ever been told that a oil leak is just muscle grease? You go into the shop and it a disaster (should of been my first red flag) but I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt because he talked so nice and acted like he was the most honest guy which should of been my second red flag, and the 3rd flag never let them give you an estimate of between 300.00 dollars and 500.00 dollars because it will always be 500.00 with someone like him. Anyway it was a disaster and I think all should be warned of this crook. The good news is on youtube I found how to fix the idle problem which was the throttle bodies under the 3 carbs so it now runs great. Auto mechanics are way over rated and people need to know about their bad practices. read more

This place rips people off. He was charging us over $300 for an alternator and then left our car parked out on the street overnight and it was broken into. He didn't call the police or call us to tell us what happened, except that the car was ready. There was broken glass from the window all over the back seat and everything taken out of the glove box. We had to argue with him to fix the window. It's a shame we had to get the police involved. And even now our blinkers and headlights stopped working. Save money for someone else. It's not worth it. read more
