Which is completely wrong. MOST of the staff is lazy and they may seem like they care for the students but their actions don't reflect that. Most teachers that taught at that school when I was there have quite literally LEFT. It was a negative experience for all students. The worst part is, even if you stayed, you couldn't get good scholarships (even if you were top of your class) because of the lack of students. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE never send your kids here. Go somewhere else with actual certified teachers. Don't make that mistake.

(Please do not let the FAKE Facebook lives/videos fool you). They are sick people! If you have ever seen the movie Matilda, this school is exactly like Crunchem Hall! The only difference is Ms. Trunchball was mean to your face and here they are FAKE to your face, and mean to your children behind your back. When you bring concerns to them they do everything that they can to blame the child, and offer no solutions. They scream at the children, say things to them like, "you got what you deserve." At lunch the children are told, "no talking, eat your lunch." It's like they all have silent lunch everyday. It's the saddest thing to watch. Every time I walk into the school, I always see at least one child crying or upset. They also LIE about everything. You can't believe anything that they say. Many of the children that I know are attending learning centers this summer, because they learned slim to nothing during the school year. They really need to shut this place down or get some new people in leadership - who actually care about the kids. If you plan to send your child here, I encourage you to reconsider, do your research, and if you decide that you want to try it SHOW UP as much as you can. But more than that it has given my naturally shy, reserved son an amazing confidence and love of learning that has transformed him. He started Woodlawn as a person who could barely look an adult in the eye because of shyness, and ended the year doing a solo poetry reading at the school talent show. He started the year wary of the wealthy show-offs and bullies he had encountered at a Lake Norman preschool, and ended with 11 of the best friends he has ever had -- all 11 of his classmates. The teachers at this school are truly amazing, and beyond the beautiful school grounds, are the real gem of this school. We have never seen teachers who care so much about the success of each one child. They are truly shaping our son into the kind of caring, unselfish, hard-working, confident person we want him to become, and we could not be more grateful. Thank you Woodlawn!!

Those teachers that are at the school are amazing and class sizes are small my kids went to different school before, A rated school and they love lakeside charter much more and don't want to leave. There was a plumbing issue, because of a big storm that was resolved a long time ago. I can't speak for the special classes my kids are in regular classes but overall it's not a terrible school teachers do the best in accommodating kids and their different levels.
