TRULY THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I want to…read morestart by saying that I have NEVER left a negative review in my life, as I'm generally a patient and understanding person, but my experience today with Rost was quite possibly the worst customer experience I've ever had. My wife and I stopped by, excited to find some trees put the final touches on our project. When we arrived there was no one in the main shop available to assist, so we walked back towards the trees expecting to find staff who could help. The first staff member we found insisted that she was "way to busy" to help and that we had to go back and find someone in the main shop. Based on that exchange my wife wanted to leave right then, but we continued to look at the trees on our own. After little luck we did go back to the main shop and found someone who we inquired with about another tree type. They happened to have the variety we were looking for, great! One was in a pot at the shop, and I was informed that they had others in the back. I didn't necessarily want the one that was in the pot, so after we paid I asked: "Do I just drive back and pick one up?" And was told "yes" No assistance was offered, and no additional instruction. Fine, I'm totally capable, so we hopped in the truck and drove back to where she said they were, and I loaded a tree. As I'm turning the truck around to leave a man by the name of Gary or Greg on a skid steer flagged us down, and went on to berate us for driving back there, saying "what the hell are you doing?", further explaining that he could turn a corner and run into the truck. Sir, I'm in a full size truck that can't be missed, yet there are pedestrians on foot all over the yard. If your driving is so erratic that you might run into a TRUCK, I'd say you have a higher likelihood of running into a PERSON...and maybe more care should be taken in how the machinery is operated on-site. So after all of this...asking for assistance and being told everyone was too busy, after being told that I can drive back in the yard, after loading everything on my own, and then after being yelled at for driving back in the yard...I went back to the main shop and returned the tree I had just purchased, and of course unloaded it with no assistance offered. I'm sure my random tree purchases every few years mean very little compared to larger commercial buyers, but for anyone reading this just be aware that you are NOT valued as a customer here, so don't expect to be treated as such.

Their mowing is careful, neat, and exactly to the length I ask for. They edge sharply and deeply. The crew cleans up totally--not a stray blade of grass anywhere. They're fast and for guys using power equipment, quiet. Both of those things are important, as I work at home. They are also 100% reliable. I have never had to wonder if they'll show up. Finally, they're thoughtful and always close the gate behind themselves. This is particularly important, as when I let the dog out, I depend on the gate being shut. They're easy to work with and have online payment, so I don't have to hassle with cash or checks. I strongly recommend them without hesitation!

Beware of Scamming!…read more I've been using Voss Landscape for lawn mowing services for a little over a year now. Earlier this summer, due to not traveling as much during the pandemic, I suspected that we were being charged for services NOT performed. In September 2020, I began to pay close attention to the lawn, and when checked against my invoice, noticed that I'd been charged for 5 separate services when I am sure they only came out 3 times (one charge was for the day after Labor Day when I personally was home all day, and it was raining...still charged for a mowing service that day). So I set up additional surveillance cameras, and waited to get our October invoice to verify against the footage...and sure enough! In October, we were charged for 3 services, and I can 100% verify only 1 was performed. I called Steven Voss to explain my findings, and he immediately got defensive, arrogant, and irritated that I would make such claims. Over the course of the night, I provided Steven (via email) with photos, clearly showing the lawn before AND after the supposed service times, that show plainly indicate that no service had been rendered. After explaining to Steven that I'd pay the adjusted invoice, if we made the accurate adjustments, he became irate, called me a liar who refused to pay up, and is currently threatening to take me to small claims court. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY, THAT YOU PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE SERVICES RECEIVED. THERE'S NO TELLING HOW MANY TIMES OVER THE PAST YEAR WE'VE BEEN SCAMMED AND SIMPLY PAID BECAUSE WE TOOK VOSS LANDSCAPE AS HONEST...WE WERE CLEARLY WRONG. *I will update this review with photos, emails, and rulings pending the threatened court case.
