This place is my favorite cleaner in the area. The staff is efficient and friendly. I also get a 10% loyalty discount on my services. They are very diligent in checking for hard stains and make sure to mark them. I've also used their in house seamstress. She is so good at her work. I give Lansdowne Cleaners my highest possible recommendation. I had them make a complicated shoe repair early last month that was done in a quality and effective manner. I went into their store this week with a ski jacket zipper that I thought needed to be replaced. The Owner showed me how to manipulate the dual zippers to avoid an $800 replacement fee. After the bad experience at University Cleaners, I was hesitant to try Lansdowne Cleaners out until I made sure they were not owned by the same people. Thank goodness they are not! The cleaners is beautifully decorated inside and the ladies that work the counters are very polite. One of them even came out to my truck and carried in my comforter. She didn't have to do it and it was nice of her because I didn't feel like dragging it across the sidewalk. Have frequented this place for sometime and love going here. read more

You are proving my point about your poor business ethics; Not only are you not acknowledging that your process burned the stain into the shirt, you are now resorting to insulting your customer and FALSLY degrade the quality and value of the shirt you ruined. The shirt was 95.00, but at no point did I demand a payment from you simply because of your lack of integrity to offer a remedy beyond an apology. If that is the value you give your customers, you will disappoint many of your customers. read more

Shoddy tailoring Had a pair of pants hemmed that fell apart after two washes. Charged full price to get them fixed saying it was "wear and tear". A store should stand by its work. Nickel and diming customers will utimately cost business. read more

WARNING, DO NOT USE THIS CLEANER. I recently had my tuxedo cleaned here. It was brand new, I've only worn it once to our sons wedding. It had a very small tear stain on one of the lapels. When I went back to pick up the suit, the stain was still there. And, both lapels seemed to be overly pressed. We agreed to have them redo the jacket. When I picked up the jacket after the second cleaning, the stain was gone, but the lapels where totally flattened. You could plainly see the seams under the satin fabric. It was permanently damaged. The staff didn't see anything wrong with the work that had been done which was very troublesome. They tried to tell me that's how the jacket should look. After leaving the store, I took the jacket back to Nordstrom where it was purchased to see if their tailor could steam out the "over pressing". They said the jacket was ruined. I then stopped back at the store to get the owners phone number. Their staff wouldn't give me her number. They would have to call the owner and arrange for us to meet at the Lansdowne location. So, later in the day, I finally get to meet the owner. After explaining the situation, she felt they did nothing wrong. She said I should have asked to have the lapels hand pressed. I thought these guys were the professionals! Why should I have to know that satin lapels had to be hand pressed? This is not the $1.99 cleaner! A reputable cleaner should have suggested this, even if it cost more money. I would have gladly paid to have that done. And during the conversation, the owner had the nerve to say in the 25 years of being in the dry cleaning business, she has NEVER made a mistake, EVER! So, this was my fault for not asking to have the garment hand pressed. She took no responsibility for what happened. So consider yourself warned. If they mess something up, it's your fault! Another reviewer had a similar experience based on what I read. I also learned this store was purchased about a year ago from the original owners. My wife and I have seen the quality of work deteriorate over the same timeframe. Consumers BEWARE, you've been warned! read more

The staff are unfailingly polite and they have done a good job on most items. However, I took in several of my husband's custom made shirts and the results were very disappointing. They had ironed creases into the french cuffs of several shirts while others looked as if they had not even been laundered. The crease ironed into one of the french cuffs damaged the fabric. They stated it was a wear mark which isn't the case since the shirt had only been worn twice. I am very disappointed as I liked the staff and the location was very convenient. read more

I stopped by because the store looked very nice. I dropped off a comforter to get cleaned and although it was a little pricey it was absolutely worth it! It smells nice and clean and feels soft but most importantly the spots are gone! It's my first time here but I plan on coming back again real soon! I did not have any service done at Lansdowne Cleaners @19401 Promenade Drive, Leesburg, VA and never will. I did witness a customer being charged $114 for 6 shirts. He was not happy. Also I witness what my daughter went through with these people to refund half of the total bill of $208. They kept making excuses, lying stating other cleaners in the plaza would have charged $75 apiece for a basic hem. We went to the other cleaner just 4 minutes away and they quoted a price of $24 to $30 range. As a matter of fact, a seamstress who works at Lansdowne cleaners was shocked that my daughter was charged $52 apiece to hem a dress. She said the price should be $24. The spokeperson of the place had advise us to come back and said manager would be there and said "I am sure she will be willing to refund half of the money paid "($208 total paid 4 dresses). Of course we were lied to. Manager refused to refund the money THEY ARE A CROOKED GREEDY MONEY HUNGRY RIP OFF JOINT!!!!.......PLEASE STAY AWAY.....THEY WILL BANKRUPT YOU. read more
