I took them a Louis Vuitton Canvas Never Full Bag to repair the piping and one of the straps. They were extremely reasonably priced, and the bag looks brand new! The piping, which was terribly cracked, is now perfect. They did a wonderful job matching the leather so that the bag looks like it did when I originally bought it. I cannot recommend them more highly and would give the 10 stars if that was a possibility. read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM Quite literally the worst experience I've dealt with in a very long time. I was charged $140 for my soles to be replaced. When received the rubber was already fraying. After wearing for about 3-4 hours they already had major signs of damage. I went back and gave them my boots. They told me they would be ready the following week on Tuesday. It is now Friday and they haven't touched them because I need to some reason talk to the owner which the shop refused to give me their number. They've held my boots for two weeks now and refused to give me my boots back so I could take them somewhere else to be fixed properly. For those of you who are sitting there debating on replacing your soles on your boots instead of buying a new pair. Please. Save yourself the trouble and just buy a new pair. read more

Used to get great service here but recently I called to get a cost to have some boots resoled and the guy that answered spoke only broken English. Spent about a minute on the phone with him trying to explain what I needed done and could not understand what he was saying and he didn't understand that I just needed some boots resoled; so finally just hung up. I came to this place based on their reviews and left extremely disappointed. Brought 2 pairs of leather/sued boots to replace the heel soul. Was charged $89 upfront and told to come back in two weeks. Came yesterday as scheduled, first was given somebody else's boots. Then after 15 min of search through the entire store my boots were found. Turned out that instead of replacing the leather covering the heel it was just painted! I was told that the other option would cost $30 more, so they "didn't even offer". On top of that, the heel on one boot just almost fell off after 2 hours of wearing it today. So now I need to run to any store to buy a pair of shoes to survive a work day. Very-very unprofessional and poor service. Do not recommend. read more

My favorite shoes needed repair so I went to my usual place but found I shut down so found this store even closer to home in a small strip mall near CVS and Lotte. Very neat inside and the owner looked over the show and found all he sides were loose from water damage and so is pasting and cleaning them for me. I brought in two pairs of shoes. I wasn't sure if one of them could be re-soled. They were able to re-sole both pairs of shoes. The prices seem to be standard based on the quality of sole that you chose. The edges of the new soles were well sanded and perfectly flush. The shoes were also nicely polished. He was only going to repaint my knob at first, but because it was over twenty years old, he replaced the leather of the knob. No extra charge. Very impressed, and professional. If you respect yourself and your shoes DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!!! Very unprofessional people are working there!!! Here is my whole story: I went to this place to drop off my shoes before Christmas 2020(!), and I chose this place because of the reviews (now I can tell that friends probably write all the positive reviews). I have two pairs of shoes, one pair of old black boots and a very nice expensive white ones and I told them PLEASE TRY TO FIX IT. IF YOU CAN'T, THAT IS OK; DON'T EVEN TRY IF YOU CAN'T!!! I have asked them for natural leather repair for scratches and to put a metal nose on my shoes because I wear out noses on my white shoes. They tell me, "We will try to find metal pieces. If we can't, we will not do everything," and I told them SEVERAL TIMES put ONLY METAL NOSE, NOT EVEN TRY ANY PATCHES, BECAUSE IT WILL LOOK UGLY AND IT WILL DAMAGE THE LEATHER! I was waiting for three weeks every time call and stopping at the shop asking when everything will be ready. The same answer the guy who works here is not working today, or he did have time for it... Then I finally pick up my first pair of shoes, they fixed not in the best conditions but fixed. Then it was unprofessional promises and lying about the other pair that I told several times very important to me. Finally, after another three weeks and my annoying about my shoes, they sent me a message with the words "We can't find the metal nose, so we just put patches." (photo of the message attached). I was furious because I asked SEVERAL TIMES TO DO NOT GLUE ANY PATCHES ON MY SHOES! For what I received the answer you don't know anything about repairing the glue will not damage the leather. Another week pass, I was trying to pick up my shoes the answer is "We working on the glue we are disattached only one shoe." Another week pass, finally I came to pick up my shoes today (February 3rd, 2021). When I saw my shoes I want to cry because now it's definitely impossible to fix it, they put the white paint to cover up how actually they damage the leather. At first, I just want to take my shoes and leave, but a VERY UNPROFESSIONAL man who works there started trying to convince me that my shoes were unrepairable, and I was trying to tell him that I asked for SEVERAL TIMES DO NOT DO ANY PATCHES IF THEY CAN FIND THE METAL PIECE. Then, we started to argue both. He actually was holding one of my shoes and he wants that I listen to him. I told him I don't want to listen to you, you just not one of these professionals who can fix my shoes, and this ok. I just want to leave!!! Please note, I did not say he is unprofessional. I sad you none of those who can help me. I was asking to gave me my shoe. Then he started making this PERSONAL, and the men who work in the "repair shoe shop" decided to teach me how to live, and talk with the adults (for the moment I'm 30, immigrate for five years, who have an M.Sc. and working on Ph.D., and successfully work full time in a great company), after then he tells me that I need to apologize to him!!! WHAT...?! Did I miss something... Who is the client here, and who has actually damaged my shoes, and were lying for almost for 8 weeks... After this very unpleasant conversation, I was in shock. Finally, I came home, washed away the paint that they put to cover the damages that they made, and oh boy, now my shoes are definitely NOT REPAIRABLE ANY MORE, BECAUSE OF SUCH UNPROFESSIONALS PEOPLE WHO WORKS IN THIS SHOP! NEVER GO TO THEM IF YOU REALLY HAVE A NICE SHOES!!! You can see all the damages in the photos!!! PS: I'm a simple person, and I can forgive everything. All this can be different if they were true professionals and: First, I asked me before doing any permanent procedure to my shoes. This place is A+. I brought some Valentino flip flops they broke. Nordstrom said they couldn't help and every other place said they couldn't fix it. This place fixed them the same day. I also took a pair of Christian Louboutin there to get the heel fixed. It took them about a week but they came out great, and they will put a protector over the "red" so that it want come off when walking. read more

Looking for a cobbler led me here. According to the guy working the front desk this place is not a cobbler. I needed foot measured for boots - they don't do that. Ok. So then was told I need a cobbler. It's like going to a tailor to get my pants done but they don't take measurements. They might not be suit makers but they do take measurements and do repairs. Might not be this business mistake but if the listing says cobbler and the guy says I have to see a cobbler ...yea. So needless to say I dont think this business makes much sense. I had my Red Wing 10877's re-soled by this place. They've held up remarkably. After a year of experiences--Hiking in Hawaii; Working long, arduous days of labor; Exploring, kicking, fightin', spittin', stylin', and everything in between--there is very little wear on the sole. I'm almost afraid they'll outlive the boot themselves, which I've had for about three years now. To add, the midsole hasn't come apart. The whole job has clearly been done right, as after all I've put these boots through, they've lived to tell their tale, sole intact. I just brought my other boots here to get them re-soled. I look forward to seeing how they turn out with a different sole. One thing that I must forewarn others: I was told that the job would be done in two weeks, but it took over twice that. This was done near the end of the year, in which they are very busy. Different times of the year yield different wait times, so use your brain, and don't expect your shoes/boots to be done in the given time frame during certain times of the year. For me, at least, the wait was clearly worth it. read more

I'm beyond disappointed with this shop. Eris, the cobbler, kept my high end brand sandals for a whole month, despite me being upfront with him while leaving for a repair. I was contemplating whether to return them back to store (if it's to expensive to repair), or repair them. Asked him to update me on the progress. Never ever he initiated texts to let me know what's going on with parts and threads. I was texting and calling asking him for an update whether he received the part needed for replacement. Eventually, I was fed up with one excuse or the other and decided to pick my shoes up in anyway. How come, the shoe repair will have a big fuss about shortage of the thread to sew the fastener? Couldn't he go to the craft or fabric store within a month and buy the thread needed? Because of his irresponsibility, indifference and poor communication skills I missed the time frame to return nearly $400 sandals. Now, I ended up with ripped stitches on the fasteners. When I asked him if I can get those buckles which he specifically ordered for my sandals, he asked $10 for them. I would have never had a problem to pay $10. If he had at least a little remorse for messing up my shoes and keeping me frustrated for a whole month, he had to give them for free, like other good businesses do. Also, my expensive sandals were soiled when I received them, even though, I particularly mentioned to him to be neat with them and left them in a clean plastic bag. I even spoke to my attorney to file this case to a small claim court. The only thing stopped me from proceeding is the fact I've seen his young sons helping him at the reception desk. My motherly nature stopped me from filing against him. Please, if you have valued items of shoes/bags/belts take them somewhere else for repairs. Seems like, he's good at shoe polishing only. Absolute disregard and poor treatment of me, as his customer. I was very polite and super understanding with him all this time. Maybe, the fact of his unfair treatment is my foreign origin. I fail to find any explanation do his actions to drag my order and find these unreasonable excuses to keep postponing repair of my shoes. read more

I wish there was a minus star review because this place doesn't even deserve a star. The only reason I picked this place was because of the reviews. My husband and I are from NYC and was visiting my parents before moving overseas. We should have gone to our shoe repair in NYC because he did an AWFUL job with our shoes. The soles that were replaced on my husband's shoes started to unglue after less than a month and no longer feel comfortable. One of my shoes that he glued where the seam was coming off is now hurting my feet, and the Velcro he replaced on my sneakers didn't work after a month. I contacted the owner and told him about how unhappy we were and after he found out that we weren't going to be back in the country in the near future, he stopped corresponding. I sent pictures of how my husband had to glue back his own shoes as well as how I had to replace the Velcro on my sneaker. I even sent him a follow-up email asking if he received my photos and it's been radio silence ever since. We spent almost $300 and he ruined our expensive shoes. I WILL NEVER use him again and will warn everyone I know in VA to avoid this place. I am so disappointed because he came off as a really nice guy. Since people constantly walk in NYC, we always get our shoes repaired (heels, soles replaced, etc.). We NEVER had a problem with our usual shoe repair shop and don't mind paying a higher price if they do a good job. If our shoes were cheap, I wouldn't be as upset, but our shoes are designer shoes and now we have to order new shoes since Asia doesn't have large women's or men's sizes. When we go back to NYC, we will see if the horrible job he did is fixable. read more

They perform beautiful, lasting repairs on shoes, but they're pricey ($70 for a pair of new boot heels and soles), and repairs can take over a month, even though they consistently say at drop off that repairs will take "a week or so." 100% of the times I've called inquiring about the status of a repair, they take my name and phone number and tell me they'll call me back, and don't call back. After a few weeks and five or six calls, they claim the repair's been ready for pickup for several weeks, even though several weeks ago they said they'd find the status and call me back, a promise they've kept exactly zero times. If you can wait five to six weeks and pay top dollar, the end result earns five stars, but not knowing whether work is ready and lying about calling back drops this store to two stars. read more

Took some boots in on December 30. They said 3 weeks as it was a busy holiday. I called twice after 4 weeks, I spoke to people who said they would call back. Never got a call back. Finally I walked in after 5.5 weeks. They had ZERO idea where my boots were or how to find them. Finally someone that seemed more experienced came out and found them under the counter, finished. I went to the shop to get new heels put on my shoes. I came back after about a week and they were not ready when I arrived. The shopkeeper was unable to find my shoes, and seemed quite unorganized. He eventually found them , and told me they were not fixed yet. So I had to wait, and waste my time, while he did what he already had a week to do. What really aggravated me was not even two weeks later, and after paying $60, one of the heels fell off. Then, maybe a week after that the other heel fell off. I had to hop around on the ball of my foot. I had to glue the heels back on, after purchasing, someone Gorilla Glue. I will not return to this shop, and I highly discourage anyone from making the same mistake I did. I wound up wasting $60, my time, and another $5 to purchase the Gorilla Glue. read more

On December 19, I took my boots to Countryside Shoe and Luggage Repair. I paid the 95 dollars to have my boots re-soled. On January 19, I called and was told the boots were not ready as they had just got the soles in. 10 days later I went to pick up boots thinking they should be done after 40 days but lo and behold they had not even started the resoling job. I was told they were too busy to give me a courtesy call so I asked for my boots and refund. I have a leather keyring attachment with a metal piece containing dealership info. (If the key is found without an owner, you can just drop it in a mailbox.) After about 15 years the leather was starting to fall apart. I brought it into the shop and it was determined that the leather should be replaced.
