First off, this park complex is huge -- just under 40 acres. And has about anything -- almost --…read moresports wise that a Florida kid could be involved in or want to do. The indoor Recreation Center houses a gym and has meeting rooms for various programs. And outside are more than a dozen fields for baseball, softball, and multipurpose ones for soccer or la crosse, et al. Almost forgot the volleyball set up with a sand base and the tennis courts. There's a one-mile exercise path with stations; a large picnic pavilion that groups can rent and a few smaller pavilion's too. For the younger kiddies, there's a playground with swings and two "structures" for different age groups. There is supposed to be a skate park and a roller hockey rink, but we didn't see all of parts of the park . As you enter the park, you can see some construction going on. They are building indoor/outdoor tennis and pickleball courts. They are hoping to open either later this year or in 2027.

The facilities are limited, run down and minimally maintained and the lodging is ridiculously overpriced for dingy, uninviting cabins with questionable cleanliness. There's a pool and a hot tub that definitely needs a deep scrub as the water gives off a brown/yellow sheen. There's also a rickey little sauna that does its job but rarely feels appetizing given the Florida heat and humidity. The food options are limited and barely crossing the edible threshold. The vibe is strange and the energy is a bit dead in the eyes. It's not a particularly friendly spirit and some of the residents - one creepy, bald dude in particular - are downright rude and unpleasant (and this guy was definitely toeing the line of harassment). There are many other nudist resorts in Florida with better activities, facilities and social settings so do yourself a favor and skip this one.

The recreation programs and community meeting space provides residents a location for adult and children events. The facility has several areas for recreational and social events; classrooms for educational events, full-sized gymnasium, multipurpose room and banquet/meeting rooms. The banquet/meeting rooms are available to rent for any particular social or business event. If one wanted to participate in an early basketball game prior to heading to their job, they have a locker room with showers.

What a fun park to visit! They have so much to do. They have a big park for children with a splash…read morepad, slides, swings, and so many fun activities for children. There is a science museum where kids can continue exploring. There is also a garden and nature walk. There are picnic tables where you can bring food and enjoy lunch in the shade. They also have a carousel! You can easily spend half a day enjoying all the activities here.

They offer group fitness classes like yoga, dance, TRX, full body workouts, etc. - I really enjoy the workout classes it helps me get into the zone for working out. Especially when I'm being lazy and I don't want to come up with a workout plan for the day! hehe The gym feels clean to me! Which I love. They have anti germ wipes all around the fitness center to clean your seat if you need too. The only machines I notice they don't have is the inner thigh and outer thigh V press machine (I have no idea what it's called lol I hope that gave you a visual) but I like those machines so that's kind of a bummer. They have barbells and dumbbells that weigh .5 which is cool! (ex:12.5) The staff there is usually very friendly I never have complaints about the workers (who are usually FAU students). They always help me out with the questions I throw at them. *bring your FAU card* (they usually have the finger scanner but it hasn't worked for awhile!) PS. you can still go to this gym even if you're not a student. They offer memberships! Have a good workout! :)

I took my children here recently to try out some new playgrounds while in the area. Two playgrounds…read moresit next to and behind this community's rec center and pool area. Parking is ample, free and shaded. The first playground is designed for smaller children and is designed as a sailboat. A small rock wall, pretend boat helm and two-tiered design appealed to both of my kids (1 and 3). A tiny 'hill' beyond this is the playground for older kids. There were a couple of cool features on the lower levels. Both playgrounds are connected by a sidewalk that continues on in a few different directions - around a lake and through tennis courts. Across from the sidewalks are large fields that I assume are used for soccer, due to the goals. My kids ran around in the mid-length grass/weeds trying to catch dragonflies. The field is very far from the road so it was nice for them to run around without needing to worry. We spotted different kinds of birds and a family of ducks far away. We did walk through the courts (2 tennis and 1 basketball, at least) to another part of a water body (Lake Charleston? No clue!). I was pretty nervous about alligators being that close to the water. We came to a tiny dock that was so covered in bird poop that it was uninhabitable. I didn't see any signs about alligators, but I don't think I'd walk my kids around that part again without a stroller. I'm not sure if it was just a windy day, but these are kind of 'waterfront' playgrounds and definitely received nice breezes. They were also shady with benches and altogether pleasant. Although not fenced, the far proximity from roads is nice and feels protected. The bathrooms are located outside but on the other side of the rec center (not near the playgrounds). They were remarkably nice and clean. We only encountered one other young child here briefly. Otherwise, when I arrived, the smaller playground was being used by a fitness class (for adults), and the larger one was being used by 3 teenagers.

You'd think a big splash pad in the middle of PBG would be open Monday - Sunday with decent hours. It really doesn't make sense. I signed up for adult private swim lessons, paying $225 for what was supposed to be personalized instruction to improve my stroke and breathing. What I got was one unstructured session in the kiddie pool--just swimming back and forth with no technique correction, no feedback, nothing. It felt like the instructor had no idea what to do. When I brought this up, I was told the training manager would attend a future lesson to train the instructor during my session. That's not acceptable. I didn't sign up to pay for someone else's training session--I signed up for my lesson. Even worse, I found out the training manager had already been watching the original lesson and allowed it to happen that way. So how is anything going to improve? I asked to cancel and get a refund, and was told flat-out "no" due to policy--no apology, no ownership, no attempt to make things right. Also worth noting: the reception staff was rude and unwelcoming when I arrived, which set a bad tone from the start. I can't recommend this place for adult swim lessons. Between the lack of professionalism, poor instruction, and dismissive customer service, I left completely disappointed.
