Having traveled for the last week and half in Spain and France, I was craving some Asian food. Stumbled across this place on Yelp with decent reviews and I'm so glad we did! There were definitely a lot of people dining here during dinner time, so I can imagine that there would be a decent wait on the weekends. I personally ordered the yellow curry with chicken which comes with rice, which was delicious! Serving to price ratio is decent as well. I would definitely come back.

Came here one night when my family and I were visiting Paris from America. We were craving authentic Laotian food and this place did not disappoint! I've been to Laos at least 10 times and this was some of the best Laotian food I've ever had. The menu was extensive and had so much variety that we were overwhelmed. Our order was taken by one of the owners, who is originally from Laos. We were able to speak to him in Laotian and order whatever came to mind (we didn't really go off the menu). We ordered things ranging from papaya salad, thom yum soup, fried sausages, and grilled chicken. The food came out very prompt and the presentation was great! The service was awesome as well- I noticed that each table did not have a specific assigned server. There were multiple servers working the entire floor and would help out wherever it was necessary. At the end of our night we were struggling to book an Uber to go back to our hotel, but the owners were kind enough to personally call a taxi for us. We'll definitely be back here if we ever come back to Paris.

The Lao and even Thai food are very good and authentic (except for the Nem Lao which is a bit too dry); we didn't try the Vietnamese dishes, as there are so many excellent Viet restaurants in the neighbourhood. Service is efficient and polite, although it could use more smiles! Prices are reasonable. No wonder the place is always full at meal times. Although Lao Lane Xang is excellent, you still should visit the Lao city of Luang Prabang.

Excellent service. Picture menu. Food was great. Fried quail was very tasty. Steak was great with two Lao sauces. Pad Thai w shrimp and chicken was good.

This was my first time trying Laotian food, and it was wonderful. The tom yum soup here is one of the best soups I've ever had - the broth was complex and bursting with interesting flavors, without being too spicy. It also had lots of seafood that was well-cooked. Next, I split the Laotian sampler platter with two other people and it was more than enough food. The chopped beef salad was my favorite, though I also liked the curry and fried split sausage. I didn't really care for the jerky (too hard) or cabbage salad (too spicy for me) but overall it was excellent. Good service and nice ambience!

Absolutely packed on a Monday night -- this was the hot spot of a neighborhood teeming with hybrids of one or another combination of Thai-Vietnamese-Cambodian-Laotion cuisine. A friend who introduced me to this spot (merci beaucoup :) made sure I was in the know about the family-owned sister restaurant across the street, where the decor may not be as sleek and modern, but you get the same food for a slightly lower price point. The one at No. 105 is closed on Mondays, though, while its counterpart at No. 102 shutters its doors on Wednesdays. Fragrant curries and flavorful beef cooked just right... no complaints from the full and fully satisfied diner!

My husband is Laoatian, so when he found a Lao restaurant in Paris we had to try it. This restaurant also offers Thai food so you can try Lao and Thai food. We ordered Lao sausages, beef jerky, Lao green papaya salad, and beef laap. It was good but couldnt give it 5 stars, the sausages was missing the herbs (lime leaf, red pepper), the jerky was good, Lao green papaya salad wasn't as spicy(not sure if you can ask to make it spicier, waiter didn't offer), the beef laap I wished they offered it with lettuce not cabbage, an order of sticky rice was small wished it was bigger. Overall it was a good lunch, great break from all French food.

I don't understand why people are making so much fuss about this place, seriously there is nothing special. The food is ok. The atmosphere is a bit trendy comparing to other Asian restaurants but it is not neither a big deal. However the service is very mediocre. You want to make sure you order everything in once because afterwards the waitress disappears.

nomzzzz. Started with the Nem Lao which was basically crispy rice with some random pork in it. Personally, I didn't like this because it had coriander in it, but it is a fun app to share. I've had this dish for the first time from "street bangkok local food" in paris and it is MUCH better there. Mains we shared a pad thai and a curry. pad thai was great, probably the second best one i've had in Paris. The curry was FANTASTICC. Lots of coconut milk in it, just enough spice for some kick, and i legit drowned my rice in it. I almost wanted to order another order of rice just to soak up all the curry sauce. Lastly, we had the mango sticky rice for dessert. This dessert rarely disappoints me. The mangoes were perfectly ripe and the sticky rice was also delicious. overall a great experience and I will definitely be back again!

the best pad thai in paris, as advertised!

It was like eating my favorite foods at a fusion restaurant. The Tom Yum soup had large shrimps, a thicker broth than I'm used to with Thai food, as well as the familiar mushrooms and veggies. But it tasted different in a very good way. As was the fish entree. Wrapped in bamboo leaves and topped with ginger and curry it was light and very tasty at the same time. I finished the evening with the sticky rice topped with flan and coconut which was a first for me. I look forward to returning soon and experiencing the rest of their menu.

Since I was only a party of 1 now, I was seated right away. The place is small and every table was full. We have a lot of pho in SF, so there were somethings that I noticed that were different. The noodles didn't taste like rice noodles, more like ramen noodles. They didn't have any of the typical pho items like bean sprouts, basil or jalapenos. The meat was prepared differently, but still very good overall. They didn't have any Viet Beer, only Tsingtao which is Chinese. No worries, I like them all. They also called the dumplings (or gyoza) by the term "ravioli", which was different to see - but probably easier for tourists to understand. Although I am no expert, this didn't seem to be authentic Vietnamese, but more of an Asian Fusion. It was quite delicious though and was glad I had the opportunity to try it out.

An escape from the richness of food in Paris…read more FOOD RATING : The Shrimp Paste Rice ( 9/10 ) was the winner here, with the various flavors and mix and matching the assorted vegetables and meats. The dried shrimp was a little bit hard, but everything else was great. The Thai Sausages ( 8/10 ) were salty with a little bit of tang, and when eaten with a nibble of ginger and Thai chili, the grease blended so well. The Steamed Fish ( 2.5/10 ) was quite disappointing as there was barely any flavor to the sauce. It was also really pricey (over 20 Euros) for the small amount of fish - which is understandable because it's seafood - but the quality of the dish did not makeup for the high price whatsoever. The Rice Porridge ( 8/10 ) was really comforting and very tasty, and had ginger, fried onions, pork, and green onions in it. Nothing too special, but a tasty broth and great combination of good ingredients. SERVICE : The two servers working were nice and made sure I always had water, and would check up on how the meal was. Nothing too special, but it was pleasant to eat there. DETAILS : This place was a total random hole in the wall I found, but the food absolutely blew my mind. It tasted exactly like food from Thailand, from the sauces down to the exact ingredients they used. If you ever start getting tired from the rich, creamy, buttery food of Paris and crave rice and tang this is a great place to eat at. It's located in a corner of a mall in 13th Arrondissement, the mall being a little difficult to navigate with all it's twists and turns, but definitely worth the effort to find.
