Alex Laredo was a subcontractor when he did part of landscaping of my yard. I initially contacted him but because of pricey estimate and felt weird about him , I did not hire him and the primary landscaper that I hired subcontracted him. I did not say anything cause no matter what will happen, my primary landscaper will be liable . One of the projects that needed to be done is drip irrigation to the two flower beds that he made and to some flowers and trees that I planted . Initially he said to plant more before he covers the hose with gravel , so I did .I inspected the flower beds that he made and it fell apart ( flower beds are made of bricks from home Depot) I have contacted him and told him To make it sturdy and he was questioning me on how it happened and it should be good . Well , it is not good . To make story short , he did not install a drip irrigation to two of my flower beds and was informed by him that he does not do add ons . Alex does not answer text or call and if he does , it is maybe a good day knowing that your concern will be address . I have never been stress out working with someone like Alex Laredo . I searched his business at BBB after a fact ( I wished I checked BBB first ) and there were reviews almost similar to mine . well since he is only subcontractor I am thankful cause the primary landscaper picked up his slacks . I hired Alex to cut down a tree in my back yard. He was very professional and responsive, came out very quickly for an estimate and scheduled the work within a couple weeks. He did a great job and even gave me a couple recommendations for places to buy some of the other things I needed for my DIY landscaping. They did our backyard project and it not only came out great but was done quickly and efficiently. Initially we were happy with the work Alex and his crew did. We hired him to landscape our backyard. The schedule did get moved around a lot and work hours were unpredictable. One of the items on our work order was a $650 fire pit. Alex completed everything but the fire pit bit eventually brought it several days later. He dropped it off and when we had a chance to see it, we noticed it was cracked in several places and the top was lifting off (it was supposed to be hand sculpted out of high heat resistant concrete) . I took pictures and immediately sent to Alex. He responded that it probably wasn't dry when they moved it and he would need to come by to pick it up and fix. I was like- sure. It's blazing hot at the start of July and stuff happens. Well, I had to text and call to get him to finally come and get it. And then 3 weeks later- nothing. I called and texted and he finally called back and told me the whole thing shattered in to pieces on the way back to his house because he had made it too thin to begin with. He would have to make a brand new one. Ok, understandable. 2 more weeks go by and- nothing. Called and texted and still no response from Alex. Don't let his "good guy" persona fool you. We have been robbed $650. I have an invoice and signed and cashed checks. And a big empty spot where my fire pit is supposed to be. It has been over 2 1/2 months since he was paid in full for goods not received. Really stinks. I was good to him and his crew. Always had a cooler of cold drinks and waters for them and gave them individual $ tips at the end of the job. Now I wonder if he even gave the tips to his crew. read more

Alex and team did a wonderful job with our backyard project. Involved tearing up existing sod, capping off the existing lawn irrigation, concrete work, and installation of artificial turf. We did have one problem with an underground leak which they quickly returned to resolve with no questions asked. They stand by their work, and the workmanship is high quality. Not sure who this Ana S. is, but she obviously is not referring to the same people we worked with. read more

Haven't been to my rental house in 9 years Rio Rancho, my tenant just moved out, the guys at Laredo came over and did a superior job, trimming the overgrown trees shaping the shrubs getting all the weeds up moving the decorative rock around, absolutely awesome job, I would recommend them for General cleanup or the yard of your dreams, Alex showed me some of his work and it is pretty amazing read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I had to hire a landscaper at the last minute because of a notice from the City of Rio Rancho. I'm a senior and on Social Security, so my funds are very restricted. Alex the boss charged me $500 (my last credit card) just to clean up the front yard, and he at first said that his crew would do the job that afternoon. When they didn't start by 5 PM, Alex then told me his crew would be there between 8 and 9 the next morning. Only one guy showed, at 9:30, with no equipment and no idea where anyone else was. He had to use my gardening tools to start weeding. I called Alex. He told me he'd be there by 10. NO ONE showed until 11:30. His crew worked till 2, took an hour and a half lunch, didn't trim my biggest hedge and took off after 4. I called Alex again and complained about the untrimmed hedge. He said he'd be over after 5 to trim it himself. Alex never showed and never returned calls after that. His people mostly had to use MY gardening tools, but they tried their best. The work done was worth maybe $150, tops. If I hadn't been under a deadline, I would have shopped around for better pricing. Alex Laredo is a ripoff. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY unless you like getting ripped off and lied to. read more

We were extremely happy with the work Alex and his crew did for us. He was quick to respond, quick to give us a bid, and quick to do the job! Alex is really pleasant to work with. On top of all that, his prices are more than fair. We will definitely use Laredo's Landscape again and highly recommend them! read more
