My son-in-law died of cancer in 2024 and I had broken my foot about the same time. My daughter and I tried to keep up the yard but it got away from us and we had to call in help in December 2025. They did an excellent job at a fair price. Well it is spring, and I haven't gotten any younger, and we need another cleanup. I hope to call them soon and get them to clean up our weeds again. I cannot attest to this individuals service as I have not used his service. However, the owner rides his bicycle house to house to drop off his flyers at your front door. He rode right through my front lawn full speed with his bike. I called the phone number on the flyer and explained what happened and he admitted that was him. He said that was the fastest way to deliver his flyers. He never apologized whatsoever. I wouldn't use a person that has absolutely NO respect for your property at all. We saw Gary doing some work in our neighborhood a few months ago and stopped to ask for contact info. We called yesterday and he came by quoted us the same day. $325 for a front yard that has had little maintenance in the last few years, so definitely not bad. He told us he accepted cash or check and said he could be here the following morning. He arrived with another guy this morning around 10 am and left about 3 hours later. The work looks great. Their work was good but we had some real difficulty when it came to payment. They claim to accept credit cards but then berated me over text on the credit card fee they were charged. To insure I didn't get a lien on my property over their $40 fee I went ahead and paid it. If a business accepts credit cards then you typically accept that you pay a fee to do so. I do in my business. It's unacceptable to not tell your customers that they have to pay your credit card fees for you. Lastly, they left bark and debris in a tarp in my backyard. I texted Gary and he said they would come remove it. He got the hat he left but never took the debris in the tarp. Thumbs down! Very poor business sense and strategy! read more

Just called New Horizons to hear a little about the services and get a little information about the business. Who ever answered the phone was very unprofessional and rude. He answered the phone with the intent to make it known I was an inconvenience for him. It really threw me off! He said he would need to see the property to give a quote (which I totally understand) but he made me feel stupid for even asking a simple question. Id say I'm an understanding person... he could have had a really bad day or I called at a bad time but our phone conversation was exactly 1 minute long and he managed to ruin my day also. Definitely won't be bringing my business to them and I will never have anything good to say about that man, but sir I hope your day gets better. read more

I contacted Gary's New Horizon Tree and Yard Services for a quote on tree removal services. We agreed on $525+tax, totaling $561.75. I was unable to be present for the work, but my elderly parents were. My father had just gotten out of surgery the day prior. When Gary arrived he ended up charging my parents $616.75 ($55 more than the original quote) and also asked for extra money to take a load to the dump. The tree, yeah it was cut down. Gary texted me the next day offering services to remove the stump, and that he would give me $100 off the quote of the stump removal because he was "doing other stump jobs the same day?" Not interested after finding out about the up-charging. I would not recommend or use services again. Definitely pulled a fast-one on my elderly parents. SEE PICTURES. read more

Gary does great work. He pulled out shrubs that I didn't want. He removed a dead tree and some dead shrubs. Dug out the roots of a dead vine. He did a general cleanup of leaf litter and debris from under the shrubs. And hauled it all away. My gravel looks fresh and new. His service is friendly, prompt, and affordably priced. read more

I was questioning my sanity to pay somebody to trim my trees for me but they was probably one of the best decisions I made this year! I heard Gary's ad on 770 KOB and called him on a Friday evening and he came all the way to my house in Belen to give me an estimate. By Wednesday my pecan tree was about 200lbs lighter and piñon has never looked healthier! I was so impressed when I pulled up to my home to see such a wonderful job but I was even more impressed with how clean they left my yard! I highly recommend this company!!! read more

If I could give one zero, I would! This company left a pink flyer stuck inbetween my front door and door jamb. It rained and the pink color soaked into my newly painted door and the door jamb. I wish I could post picture to show the mess! I can't get it off without taking off the paint and I've spent two days painting and antiquing my door to get it ready for my house to be up on the market. I called and the owner of this company refused to do anything to make the situation right. He even insinuated I was lying despite the fact that I sent him a picture of the damage! My father just had a stroke and we have two weeks left to get our house up for sale and move. I've been working like a dog to get everything done and now I have to repaint my front door. The owner said, "I don't see why this is such a big deal". Doesn't see!!!?? How about I don't have time to repair his damage to my home!! And I shouldn't have to. I can't imagine what it would be like to deal with him if he screws up something bigger when he landscapes! No remorse, no care or concern....what a jerk!
