We used him twice and when I asked him for a " legal " receipt so that I could register equipment for warranty, he got very belligerent and aggressive. He went on and on ranting. My request: Hello Adam, this is xxxxx, xxxxx wife. I'll need you to send me an invoice with the information you texted my husband showing your name and address and phone number. I also need a copy of the receipt for the control box for proof of purchase and any warranty. I'll require this for my accountant. Please email it to xxxxxx Thank you His response: Any warranty for this work is for timer box any issues and box faults. Timer box was purchased on my account and ur husband was aware of price for it I explained to him we could buy one online and wait for it to come in for cheaper r buy at just sprinklers and pay the 350$ for it so it was purchased not sure what u meant by or off of purchase I did buy it .Also so your aware I told ur husband when I first got there we should change box out that I thought it was miss communicating.we sat there for 7 hrs chasing issues down flushing valves and changing manifolds out and checking each zone for issues and locations. Also your husband told me zone 11 was a capped off zone and he had us going through zones over n over to locate the sprinklers by the east side fence .well east side fence was zone 11 he told me was capped off and didn't work but does work we found out after I went through each zone 10 times and checked for leaks all over yard to make sure those sprinklers didn't have a break somewhere .I hope this explains stuff to where your satisfied with the work we did . We just moved into a new build community, and we're looking at landscaping options for sod in our back yard. Adam showed up the same day I asked for a quote and gave us a fair price. He brought his team out within a few days to start the work. We couldn't be happier with the job Adam and his guys did. They installed a sprinkler system for us, as well as helped us program the drip system in our front yard (as we were struggling with this). Adam gave us professional and efficient service. Adam expanded my drip system and provide service in two occasions. He was easy to schedule, personable and did good work.

So long story short, we chose Adam and his crew based off high ratings and the promise of a job well done in very little time. Yet after inspection of his work we found he cut corners, didn't keep his word on what he said would be done and he was very aggressive and argumentative when we called him out about all the issues. If you've used him in the past I highly suggest you thoroughly inspect his work and make sure he didn't do the same to you and for those of you who haven't used him, do yourself a favor and don't. The only reason he got one star was because his crew was friendly. Here is the long story for anyone who cares to read. My wife and I picked Adam due to his high ratings on thumbtack (the majority of these high ratings come from yard work not actual landscape). He was quick to come give an estimate on the weekend. Adam told us he could have the job done in a day, 2 at most. Adam wanted to take down our side fence so he could remove and level all the old stuff in the backyard. We let him know this would not be an option and thanked him for his estimate and time. He replied with he would do it for the same price and do it all by wheelbarrow and hand. We agreed to this and paid him half down (another mistake). Adam and his crew came out and did the job in one day. We soon realized how the job was able to be completed in one day. Adam and his crew failed to remove any of the old rock and laid the fabric right over everything that was there before. We had a dog run on the side of the house that he also agreed to landscape and we had some old large landscaping river rocks in the yard that he was supposed to remove and haul away. Well instead of removing and hauling those river rocks away he just moved them to the dog run and attempted to hide it by laying down weed guard and adding 5-6 inches of new gravel on top. This then made it impossible to even walk in the dog run because your feet sank so far down and our dog was able to jump the fence because the gravel was so high. As someone who is 6'1, the top of the fence was initially at my collar bone and after this it was at my waist. There are also multiple large spots in the yard that have nothing but dirt and a thin layer of rock on top. So when Adam had said he would do everything by hand for the same price, he was completely dishonest and deceptive about his intentions for the yard. The next day after inspecting all his poor work I texted Adam to let him know the dog run was a concern and we were very unhappy because our dog was able to hop the fence into the neighbors yard because it was so high. He responded and told me he would come remove it for an additional $350. I told him absolutely not that he would need to come fix it without any extra charge. He went on about his precious 5 star rating and that he doesn't do bad business so he would come over the following day. Immediately when he showed up he wasted no time in making it known he was unhappy that he had to come back. Right off the bat he told me I was lucky he even showed back up. As we went through the dog run to visually show him that he placed old rock there he began to get argumentative saying all that was already there. I told Adam we know that's untrue because last weekend we spent 6 hours cleaning the weeds and large rocks out of the dog run. We told him we wanted him remove all the old dirt and rock that he placed there and return it to how it was before, which was low and leveled out so our large dog couldn't jump over the fence. Adam still was argumentative and tried to intimidate me with his aggressive attitude but when I didn't back down he wouldn't even stay to talk about what needed to be done, he left our home and left his crew to do all the work. My wife showed up and asked his crew where Adam had gone because she would like to speak with him. His crew members said "he's upset and he told us he had to leave before any problems happened". This is how this guy conducts business. Very sloppy work and tries to become intimidating and argumentative with a customer when he gets called out on the poor quality. Another mistake, We agreed on cash payment for the work done because he said if we used card or check Adam would have charged us significantly more in "tax". Tax on our amount would have come out to approx 320 dollars and Adam told us tax would be an additional 450 dollars on any work charged to a card. Once again, totally dishonest about his work. The same day we posted a similar review on thumbtack he called me and said "well you really laid it all out there didn't you." I told him yes, we didn't want people to have the same bad experience we did. He then said "don't worry bro your bad review won't hurt my business, I have a good reputation here" and then hung up. Long story short, I was unable to verify any of the claims Adam made on his web site ie., Free estimates, labor and work affordable, prices are unbeatable guaranteed and no markup on materials. This is due to the fact that he has refused to provide me an invoice for his work and receipts for materials purchased. He did charge me taxes on the bill. There were many requests followed by many excuses as to why he could not give me anything. For example; my workers cleaned out my truck and invoice book is gone, Im too busy right now, Must go to bank and pull financial info etc etc. Its been 2 months and I dare say that he has no intention of providing me the requested info. I cannot think of one legitimate reason for this refusal. Although there are several ILLEGITIMATE reasons for his actions.
