This restaurant serves some of the largest portions I've seen at a Mexican restaurant. I'm a big eater, and I still couldn't finish my meal--I left absolutely stuffed. I ordered the lunch chimichanga, and it was very well executed. It was fried perfectly: crispy on the outside without being overly crunchy or greasy, while still remaining tender inside. The generous layer of cheese dip on top was rich, flavorful, and a great complement to the dish. I also suspect they make their refried beans in-house based on their texture and flavor, both of which were noticeably better than what you'll find at many similar restaurants. The rice was acceptable, though it was a little clumpy and lighter in color than I'm used to seeing. It could have benefited from a bit more seasoning, but it certainly wasn't bad. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. The only drawback was the pace of service. There were a couple of occasions where it felt like 15 minutes or more passed before a server returned, whether to take my order or bring the check. Overall, this restaurant is a step above many Mexican restaurants offering similar fare in the area. The excellent portions, quality food, and friendly staff make it a place I would gladly visit again. read more

I had dinner in the bar area on Monday. The food was good but the service was not. I had to go find my waiter to ask for refills. The last glass of water tasted like a chemical was in it. I went there today (Weds). Again, the food was good but the service was terrible. The waitress had an attitude. No refill on my water. One refill on my Arnold Palmer which was wrong on the second refill. Never asked me if I wanted any more refills because she was too busy talking. Most of the staff stood around talking and laughing. Never asked if I wanted more salsa. I wasn't the only one who had issues. There was a couple in there which let the manager have it and on the way out the man in the couple told the manager, F@ck you man! If their staff doesn't want to work then hire in people who do need a job! There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants to go to! I'll never be back. read more

The food was good, but the service was excruciatingly slow. The waitress was also not good at looking around at the tables to see if anyone needed anything. On several occasions, I tried to get my servers attention after she had serviced another table nearby, but each time she had tunnel vision back to the kitchen. We got chips and salsa for the table which was nice. However, after ordering queso, it was strange that we didn't get additional chips. The chips that we originally got was not enough to eat with the salsa AND the additional queso. It seems customary to give more chips when you order more dips. I ordered the fajitas, which I think is strange that every Mexican restaurant only ever gives you 3 tortillas, as if that were enough for the entire fajitas entree. However, most restaurants will give you extra tortillas when you ask for no extra charge. This restaurant charges an extra $3 for 3 tortillas. I would've liked it better if the waitress had mentioned the additional charge. Overall, nothing special about this restaurant. There are other Mexican restaurants that do a better job with the aforementioned criticisms above. read more

I used to enjoy ordering food from here but eating inside has become something I no longer want to do. They will upcharge you for everything they can. I got tacos last time I was in and the listing says you can choose your toppings, I tried to do so and they said it'd be an extra $5 which is the price of a single taco. The service is fine and it's a typical Mexican restaurant inside but I cannot continue to advocate for people to come here with all the nickel and diming. We were seated in the bar area which was nice, because it was quieter. The Chips and salsa were good! However the waitress did not come back to take our food order for quite a long time. I ordered tacos and my husband a taco and a burrito. The chicken was good but very watery. And, then the steak taco was very tough. I came into the restaurant to place a to go order. I got home and had the wrong dish missing parts of the order. The other dish had guacamole on it that was not asked for, nor was it on the menu. I had the bring the order back to restaurant and get told that salads come with guacamole. I don't care the menu does not say that. They try to put the were dish on me. Then some cashier wants to tell me that next time I need remember that the salad come with guacamole, and I need to ask remove it. There will not be a next time. Stay away. read more

I ordered at the Sandy Plains location for the first time on Sunday 11/30. I was trying to do it online and just go for a quick carryout but couldn't access the online menu. It was a rainy and awful day so it was frustrating that I had to go inside to order. The young woman hostess was very pleasant and helpful. Since I hadn't eaten there before, and only planned to order chicken soup,I asked her for menu suggestions. She recommended mini street tacos on corn tortillas and the were great. The chicken soup not so much. First the broth was very bland and tasteless, then the soup was green because they put the avocados in it instead of on the side. So basically it was just shredded chicken with some onions, carrots, cilantro. No seasoning I ordered chicken soup at other Mexican restaurants often especially if I have a cold or it's a rainy dreary day. I usually ask for rice on the side which I did this time and so glad I did because it was literally white rice, with a few vegetables, not Mexican rice which is what is usually served. Overall, the hostess suggestion of the street tacos and her pleasant and helpful demeanor is why I rated the restaurant three stars Otherwise please fix the online interface and the chicken soup. read more

They burn the meat so ask for no char as that's not healthy. As a practice they should not be doing that for people's health. I do think the flavors were amazing - the spices and flavor combinations. It was one of the best burritos I've had. Friendly service. read more

LAREDOS STEALS FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS!! I used to be a regular customer of Laredos and would go at least once a month for years. I also eat there for business sometimes and need to keep a copy of my receipts so I have to take a picture and then submit it for my business. Last month when I was reconciling my bank statements for 2023 I realized that multiple receipts from multiple servers had my tip rounded up by a dollar or two (which caused my receipts not to reconcile with my bank statements)! My wife and I no longer go there and I caution anyone else that is considering going to Laredos that the company seems to have a systemic problem of stealing from their customers since it happened multiple times with multiple servers in multiple months while I used to be a regular customer with them. Laredos have really good Mexican food. I had not tried this location before. A busy Sunday helped this review come true. Lol. That and a UberEats deal, which my driver Scot was quick and friendly. My food was still hot upon delivery. My son and I both ordered the chicken quesadilla. I added beans and a medium queso to the order with jalapeños. My son had a few things removed from his quesadilla. They got the order 100% correct. We were only missing utensils. The queso and chips was so good. A little thin not thick consistency but really good. Just the right amount of heat with the jalapeños. The chicken in the quesadillas was seasoned well. We both enjoyed them. The rice with it was plain in appearance but a great kind if garlic flavor to it. It was really good. I added beans which was good. We split that side. I would definitely order from this location again!! Price and portion size are in sync. Can't wait to dine in once things improve. I have been here several times, but normally I get my order to go. Yesterday I dined in. When I arrived I went to the ladies' restroom before being seated. I observed a female employee exit the stall and 'wash' her hands without using hand soap. I later saw her behind the bar. Although there was no wait to be seated, the service was very slow. I had to flag someone down to take our order and also to bring our check. My friend and I were in a slight hurry, so it would have been great if the server (whoever that was, but initially it was the lady from the bathroom) had been more attentive. The food was just okay. Just moved to the area 2 weeks ago and have came to this restaurant 3 times already! It's that good. I had the fajita taco salad the first time. Mini street tacos the second time and an enchilada plate the third time. Everything I've tried is delicious and I'm very picky. Let's not forget that their margaritas are so fresh and not sour. This is my first time trying this restaurant and I am completely satisfied with the meal that I received. I decided to get the Vegetarian fajitas and they were very tasty. The rice was well seasoned and the vegetables were grilled to perfection. The vegetables didn't have much seasoning on them but that was fine with me. It also came with what tasted like homemade salsa which was very good. They also provide free chips as well which is always awesome. Updated review. Im not sure why this places service and quality have dropped. Im moving my review to a three stars after six or seven order screw ups. I have noticed that pick up orders in particular this general area, are not what they used to be, less attention to details wont help your to go orders. My family and I went out we had a good time my food was good and the server was nice however it was a little disappointing to see how they handled a member of my party. She ordered a soup and politely expressed issues she had with the meal she had been served. The waiter said he would do something to rectify it but nothing was done at all. My party member did not finish eating the soup and put it to the side because she thought something would be done. Unfortunately no one came up to check on her ask how the problem could be fixed afterwards. Can't seem to leave without dropping $80+ for 2 adults and a kid (yes with 2 margheritas) - which is pricey for Mexican. Favorite item on the menu is corn street tacos. I usually roll with the pork. Hot sauce is flavorful and spicy, radishes add a perfect crunch. The beef burritos (shredded or ground) are also delicious. The sauce they're smothered in is off the charts. Fajitas are also great. Chicken is super moist and not dry. Nachos and dips can be hit or miss. Usually Great but sometimes meh. Special order requests don't always get done either. Depends on the staff and how busy they are that day. Overall a solid place that would be 5 stars if it were more consistent and a bit more affordable! I came here with my brother on our way to a get together just for drinks. We were starving and looked on Yelp for the closest restaurant in the area and Laredo popped up as being 0.8 miles away from our destination so we came here. It was full on a Friday afternoon/early evening and we opted to sit at the bar. Bar staff were friendly at the beginning and came to us almost immediately and asked for our drink orders. However, the fuller it got, the least attention we got. It was obvious they catered to the "locals" who frequented here a lot (we were newbies). Either way, my dinner was very good. I had the "Jerry's Chicken" which was grilled chicken breast sliced up, cooked with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and spinach. Then covered with cheese sauce and served with rice on the side for $12.50. It also said that I'd get three flour tortillas, but I am not sure if I got it or not, or if I got to share with my brother who got the steak fajitas and also got flour tortillas and we got one plate to share the tortillas. It didn't really matter to me because the rice and chicken dish itself was very filling. I'd get this again though. My dinner was very tasty and yummy. The only negative side was the lack of service in the end where it took forever to get our bill as a "regular (local)" guest next to me kept eyeing our two spots to have her friends join her when we left. read more

First time visit. The parking lot is big which is nice, it's in a mini shoping center with a Publix next to it. The inside is very large and accommodate many parties. The staff was friendly but our waiter could have been a bit more attentive. The cheese dip wasn't all that good. It came to the table luke warm. I ordered the wings with the "special hot sauce". The wings themselves were delicious but they weren't really spicy so I'm not quite sure about the name. I also got 2 tacos, one with chicken and one with steak. They were also decent. I hate to leave a bad review, but I had a long hair in my food and a piece of steak was in my vegetarian dish. I understand mistakes happen, but I want to leave this for vegetarians - they are not cautious in keeping meat out of your food. Just don't eat here if you don't eat meat or have any dietary restrictions. Vegans beware - the beans come with cheese on them and everything comes with sour cream on top. read more

We ate here tonight. Laredo's use to be a favorite of ours. Ordered the chargrilled steak and chicken fajitas, came with 4 small strips of steak and 5-6 small chicken pieces. I shared with my 9 year old as he wanted to order off the adult menu, was only given 1 plate. Had to wait to receive a second plate, had to wait to ask for a second set of shells. Our waitress Carin was standing around talking with the other employees rather than engaging with her tables. She brought my child wrong flavor Jarrito. She would be wearing her mask and then taking it off, touching the mask then our plates and drinks. Not very hygenic and very slow service. read more
