To be honest, our experience started off very poorly--within the first five minutes, it felt like a zero-star visit. This is marketed as a tasting menu restaurant, but after we were seated, we were told they were only offering a set menu that evening. That was never communicated when we booked, confirmed our reservation, or even upon arrival. The tasting menu was the entire reason we came, so it was a frustrating and disappointing start. To add to that, the table lights hadn't been charged, which took away from the ambiance. Overall, not a great first impression. That said, they did manage to completely turn things around. The service ended up being superb, and the food was both delicious and genuinely innovative. We especially appreciated how present and engaged the owner was throughout the evening. He was actively helping staff and checking in on guests, which made a big difference. It's clear he knows his strengths--particularly with wine. We had a great conversation with him about their selections, and after helping us choose a bottle, he personally presented and poured it. He even came back twice to check on our experience, which was a nice touch. As for the food, it was excellent. The meal began with a series of amuse-bouche served in a half birdcage--creative, whimsical, and a great way to start the evening. The sweet potato arancini stood out as one of the most unique and delicious bites we've ever had--I could have easily ordered a whole table of them. The deviled quail eggs were also memorable; the filling was subtly different, but just enough to create a flavor that felt entirely new, which is exactly what you hope for in this kind of dining experience. I ordered the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and bright--on par with what you'd expect in top coastal cities. For the entrée, the steak was exceptionally tender and juicy, paired with thoughtful and unique accompaniments. In the end, the quality of the food and the excellence of the service completely won us over. Despite the rocky start, we're looking forward to returning--hopefully next time for the full tasting menu experience we originally came for.

First course before our appetizer. An incredible journey

An absolute 10/10 evening at Truth Be Told in downtown Roswell with my mom and daughter! Dining here is always a magical journey of discovery. Every dish the chef brought out was a stunning, flavorful masterpiece. We picked our main items, and the kitchen filled in the gaps with the most delicious surprises. To top it off, the service was outstanding, and the optional wine pairing took the whole experience to the next level. Highly recommend! I will be returning soon with my brother and nephew. Everyone should experience chef Matt's culinary expertise

Exceptional! I'd rate it in the Top 20 of restaurant meals I've experienced. That good. From arrival to departure, the ambience, service, presentation, and food were outstanding. Highlights? Cheese whiz and fiery Cheeto bites (yep, I'm not kidding) ceviche; wagyu beef; tiramisu. Wine pairing was superb. Kudos to Russell and his colleagues for excellent service. Lastly, hats off to owner Jonathan for his vision and leadership in bringing this restaurant to North Georgia -- BRAVO!!! Cheers! RS

Great ambiance and unique drinks. Service could be a little more mature but they're working things out still. Great experience overall!!!

Came here with Tasting Collective on a Sunday night, and it was worth the drive to the suburbs! It was a 5 course tasting, and 4 of the courses hit it out of the park. The sashimi course was bland, and the fish was a bit dry. They are likely turning to a tasting only menu, and I expect that if Michelin comes to Roswell, they'll get their star. The flavors were fresh, bold, and well-balanced. The service was attentive and informative. The chef explained that they use as many ingredients as possible from their garden. The beets were tender with a simple prep to allow the ingredients to shine. People at my table who disliked beets even loved this dish. It was not a large amount of food, but I was satisfied at the end. Will be back with friends to try the complete tasting.

10 STARS!!! Definitely a special occasion or date night. One of my favorite places I've had in ATL. We started at the bar and had the most incredible drinks. True bartending at its finest! We did the tasting menu and I would highly recommend. Definitely splurge for the A5 and the Carpaccio if you can. It's worth it! The service was true fine dining. Everything was excellent and thought through from start to finish. Pretty expensive, so expect a $$$ kind of night, but totally worth it.

Truth Be Told: The $1,000 Dinner That Left Us Hungry When you spend close to $1,000 on dinner for four people, the general expectation is that you leave impressed, maybe a little dazzled, and ideally not wondering where you can find a sandwich on the way home. Unfortunately, that was our experience at Truth Be Told on what was my third visit to the restaurant. My first two dinners there in August 2025 were excellent. Beautiful space, creative food, thoughtful presentation, the kind of place you're excited to recommend to friends. In fact, I talked it up enough that I convinced my husband and another couple to join us, which in hindsight feels a bit like enthusiastically recommending a movie sequel that absolutely did not live up to the original. The restaurant itself is still gorgeous and the food is plated like it belongs in an art museum, but somewhere along the way the tasting menu appears to have been hit by the same shrink ray from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Portions are dramatically smaller, the number of included courses has mysteriously gone down, and the list of add-ons has multiplied so enthusiastically that there are honestly more ways to increase the price of your meal than there are items actually included in the prix fixe. It starts to feel less like a menu and more like the airline industry where the seat, oxygen, and landing are all optional upgrades. Case in point, I ordered the $65 A5 Wagyu add-on because if we're already headed toward a four figure dinner bill, why not commit. Four slices arrived looking beautiful. Two bites were excellent. The other two were essentially just fat. Not "luxurious marbling" fat. I mean the kind where you chew once and immediately realize you're basically eating something that once considered becoming a candle. When I asked the server if that was typical for the dish, the proposed solution was to bring me a hanger steak, which is a bit like ordering champagne and being offered a LaCroix as the corrective action. The hanger steak arrived and I took one bite and it was chewy enough that I briefly wondered if the cow had died of natural causes. Eventually they did bring a properly prepared Wagyu replacement which was excellent, but at this level of dining the guest probably shouldn't need to lobby quite that hard just to have the original dish executed correctly. Service throughout the evening had a slightly improvisational feel. Plates arrived with a lot of "who ordered this?" followed by silence, followed by more silence, until someone eventually adopted the dish like it was a stray puppy. Food was essentially auctioned off at the table, which is not exactly the polished tasting menu choreography one expects at this price point. Then there was the OpenTable reservation situation which made it appear that I had prepaid more than $400 toward the reservation, yet there was absolutely no explanation on the final bill about how that was applied or credited. At a restaurant where dinner for four lands around $1,000 with tip, the billing process probably shouldn't feel like a small financial mystery. The most interesting moment of the night, however, happened at the large table next to us where I overheard guests giving almost identical feedback directly to the owner about the value and the sheer number of add-ons layered into the menu. So it clearly wasn't just our table wondering what had happened here. The most telling moment came from our server, who looked genuinely embarrassed and at one point said we didn't need to leave a tip. We did anyway because he personally was trying his best inside what felt like a very confused system. So to the owner, if you happen to read Yelp reviews: you have a beautiful restaurant, talented chefs, and a concept that could absolutely work, but right now it feels like someone replaced the hospitality playbook with a spreadsheet. Shrink the portions, stack the surcharges, confuse the service flow, and hope no one notices. Unfortunately... people notice. And when dinner costs $1,000, the last thing your guests should be doing on the drive home is debating where to stop for food.

The curated Tasting Collective menu was phenomenal and have the Chef give us the background on the restaurant, the name and their ingredients sourcing practices made it a truly unique experience.

I haven't had this much fun at dinner maybe ever. It was truly a delight in every sense. We had been seated for an hour and a half before we ate anything we actually ordered. Every 15 minutes or so was another surprise. I'm afraid to post photos to ruin the surprise element for anyone else so proceed at your own risk. We were seated in the dark room off to the right which I highly recommend as it added to the mystery and intrigue. Our waiter was more excited to share what chef had prepared than we were which added to the experience. The bartender served us our cocktails directly which was an awesome addition to the service. We had a team of 4 or 5 taking care of us. We ordered 3 items each and 2 cocktails. We received an additional 8 items and 2 cocktails. The number of items we got and the sheer number of ingredients and technique - I think it's under priced. Lastly nothing we tried seemed crazy and adventurous just for the sake of being crazy and adventurous. All hits, no misses.

We went to Truth Be Told to celebrate our Daughter's birthday. We spent over 3 hours enjoying and loving every minute. There were surprises every 15 minutes that amazed us in their beautiful presentation and our palates rejoiced. The many different flavors and pairings were beyond creative. Our Grandson cannot tolerate dairy so the prepared dishes that he could eat and he did...every morsel. I cannot offer enough praises. Our waiter Zion was a delight. Service was outstanding. In and outside of the restaurant has been designed with loving care. Do not miss this experience.

Delicious food and great service. The food was so unique and creative everything was so thought out. Our server was great and super knowledgeable about the menu. I love the vibes. Very beautiful, cozy, and romantic!

Wow, we were blown away by Truth be Told. The food was great, the service was EXCELLENT, and the drinks were consistent and delicious. They brought us out so many special treats throughout our meal and even surprised us with caviar. It was such a special evening and one I won't soon forget. The only feedback I'd have is around timing - the meal took almost 3 hours, which felt like a long time to us. There was a lot of empty time in between our courses. I think if you tried to get pre-fixed meals in and out of the restaurant in 2 hours or less, that'd be ideal. But overall, it was such an incredibly special meal. 5/5 stars.

Huitlacoche & saffron tart, thin chicken skin w/ an eggy-mustard sauce & caviar pearls, semi-sweet churro w/ gruyere & hot cheeto.

The food was beautifully presented, ingredients were thoughtfully procured, and most importantly, the dishes were delicious! I particularly loved the emphasis on local fruits and veggies. Often times upscale cuisine can feel heavy or overwrought, but the local greens and veg in an exquisite olive oil and the creative small bites helped to balance richer dishes like the Wagyu with tongue (a standout!). I'd also recommend the carpaccio, and the dish that served beets three ways was creative and tasty. Around the table, we ordered each of the cocktails and three of the wines off of the delightful wine list. The wines were each quite good, and we found the cocktails to be well-balanced and delicious to a one, though perhaps a bit safe given how adventurous the food menu was. I expect to see the cocktail menu evolve as this restaurant firmly plants its feet as a premier fine dining establishment in downtown Roswell! Well done, and good luck to this new gem. Hope to be back soon!

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the hostess, plus a very inviting bar behind the stand. Prior to coming, we needed to change our reservation and they were happily able to accommodate. It was everyone's first time here, so the server explained how their menu works and what are the popular dishes. We started with the seasonal Thai salad, Smokey cabbage and pork belly. Our server put in the incorrect order, instead of the pork belly, she put in the chive fries, but she happily comped this due to error. Out of all the apps we tried, my favorite was the salad and actually the chive fries. Salad was fresh with corn, tomatoes, snow peas and the dressing was nicely salty and a bit spicy. The chive fries are reminiscent of chive pancake but cut in long strips, shaped like fries, though I found the sauce it came with too sweet. For our main entree, we all shared the chicken satay (my personal favorite and that satay sauce was to die for), crab fried rice (flavorful but found the old bay seasoning a bit too overpowering), whole market fish was trout that night (loved this was topped with a fresh salad) and crying thaiger (I didn't eat the steak but the grilled okra and the sauces were delicious). All of the entrees came with jasmine rice, but there's an option to get sticky rice and garlic rice for extra fee. I thought this was a good meal and our server was great. We found service to be a bit slow, but they were pretty busy. It got better towards the end of the night as people were leaving. They also gave free dessert as someone in our party was celebrating their birthday.

Because I didn't want to be unfair, I tasted one before saying anything -- my sense of smell wasn't the problem. I sent them back. A second dozen was brought out with assurances that these were fresh. They were not. Identical smell, identical film. I tasted one of those too, for the same reason. Identical result. At that point the kitchen tried to make things right by sending out fried oysters, apparently to prove the product was fine. The smell of old fish coming off that plate was overwhelming before it reached the table. I didn't eat it. I left dinner having consumed a few fries off my dinner partner's plate, and we went home and ate there. I want to be fair: the staff were pleasant and clearly trying to recover the situation. But the recovery was the wrong one. When a customer sends back raw shellfish because it smells spoiled and confirms it by taste, the answer is to pull the oysters from service and check the rest of the batch -- not to plate a second dozen from the same source, and certainly not to fry them and send them back out. Spoiled raw shellfish is a genuine health risk, and it was served to me twice. One more observation. At 7pm on a Friday night, we were the only guests in the entire dining room. An empty room and product this far past its prime tend to be related problems. The one unqualified bright spot (hence 2 stars vs one): the guitarist. He was genuinely excellent -- great player, great song selection, and the only reason the evening wasn't a total loss. I hope he finds a venue that matches the quality he's bringing. I won't be back, and I'd skip the raw bar here entirely.

Just be aware that on a Saturday night you may have to work parking out somehow. Now they had some drink specials posted everywhere. This was actually a good spot to check that out because they have a lot of variation of it. You can see a couple of those in my pictures. The last time I was there they had live music so let me just back up for a little bit. They actually have a stage area where you may go and see some live entertainment and a crowd around them. What's nice is the stage part has its own bar so you don't have to keep running in and out of the food hall to get drinks. They have an outside play area for kids and it's kind of like a green turf situation so you can sit down and let them play. They have seats there and they have seats outside on a covered patio area as well so there are options for seating. Of course they're sitting on the inside and the seats there are not available. It was delicious but almost $20 for 4oz of dip with chips out of a bag. You could make 10x the volume of this at home with some rotel and Velveeta for the same price. The loaded tots and chicken strips with fries from the tavern were ok. I wouldn't seek them out. The chocolate milk shake was actually a vanilla milk shake with one squirt of Hershey syrup. The only item of note that we ordered out of the almost $100 spent there was the green chili vodka Bloody Mary. It was good because it was vodka with ZingZang bloody Mary mix and fresh lime juice. It did not have any sort of horseradish or Worcestershire or any sort of fun garnish, including even celery for $17. If you're going to this venue for live music, eat before you arrive.
