First is labor and delivery, I had such a bad experience with the doctors on shift that weekend. Zero bedside manners, the nurses even had to advocate for me because what was happening shouldn't have happened. What was said should never be said to any mother dealing with preeclampsia. Jokes about a stillbirth is unacceptable. Listening to what the mother wants shouldn't be put on the back burner either. During my stay there were 2 other moms there that actually delivered their babies on their own, where were the doctors is my question? Second, the Nicu-if you know you will be delivering early by any means do NOT deliver here because the nicu is not even level 3 care for our babies. There were so many things that went wrong with my babies care. Yes, there were some pretty great nurses but when we advocate for our babies and it goes unheard or bypassed it's a problem for me. There's zero structure or even empathy for the parents there. I highly suggest as a second time Nicu mom to have your babies at North Central Baptist. Their care is unmatched. If it wasn't for my doctor relocating to Methodist I would have never left. My baby was discharged yesterday and she has not had an ounce of sleep, I had made comments to them saying she's been gassy from the formula and they refused to change it. What kind of care is this?!?! No one wants to see their baby in so much pain with little to no sleep (and not passing stool) Third, that damn security guard named Matt. Little man syndrome at its finest. It was our last day visiting the hospital to pick up our baby and my husband didn't have his band on him but I did. I didn't think it would have been an issue for us to go together since I had my band. Instead of politely speaking to us he arrogantly was belittling our thought process. I explained the situation and he had an attitude the whole time. I spoke directly to my husband and said "thank God this is our last time in this hospital" and Matt thinking he was included in our conversation said "amen to that" I replied back with where's your manager because there is no way anyone should respond back to parents of a Nicu baby like that. As if he owned the hospital. He said he's in his office do you want to speak to him and I said yes you can go get him, he declined and didn't want to get his manager and said for me to go get him myself. A typical loser- but that's ok because I'll be speaking to the manager and the hire ups because none of these circumstances should have happened.

I first came here on August 12 after being referred to them by Dr. Christina Bui of Eye Associates…read moreof South Texas in New Braunfels. There is a review posted for them as well. Dr. Bui said that if I could make it to the E Sonterra location, they would see me. My brother-in-law drove me from New Braunfels to San Antonio, and when we arrived we were told that I could not be seen because the doctor had to catch flight. They told me I should come back the next day at a different location which was farther away (Huebner). So we came back the next day and I saw Dr. Mein. After waiting for at least 20 minutes, I was finally called back and I talked with a tech about my retinal detachment. And then they took me to a different room and said the doctor would be with me shortly. I finally was called by another tech maybe 30 minutes later, and then they said the doctor would be with me shortly. Forty-five minutes later, after sitting alone in a room by myself, the doctor came in and stood over me--literally hovered over me and asked me what the problem was. It was a little intimidating, but he probably figured it was easier to talk to me than try to look at my chart and figure out what the issue was. He did some more exams, and then sent me for some imaging. We discussed the retinal detachment and he said I would need surgery to repair it. I asked him if I could get in that day which was a Friday, and he said no, because the issue was they were having trouble finding anesthesiologists. Evidently this is a problem, because a lot of companies that employ anesthesiologists want them to work in hospitals and not in surgery centers. So I had already been experiencing this retinal detachment for two weeks due to a misdiagnosis at the other office in New Braunfels, so having to wait over a weekend was a little frightening. I kept wondering if it would detach completely and if I would go blind. They scheduled an appointment for me for surgery for Monday, and I saw Dr. Holy. I will post a separate review for Dr. Holy and the surgical center. All in all, I was grateful for the service that I received from this office. Their office manager did apologize to me for the miscommunication from the day before.

I didn't know any better.. this was back in 2013. When the opioid epidemic struck they were quick to cut me off cold Turkey after I refused to let them inject me month after month so they could bill my insurance thousands I'm sure. That was the best thing that could of ever happened. I got myself off pain meds after 6 years but doctors like this started this pandemic. I'll take my blame but shame on them for giving a 24 year old those drugs then treating me like I had a problem. I have family members who go there with major issues . They want them to get off their medication go on Suboxone and then after a while they'll give them opioids again.. makes no sense . I'm extremely grateful I took myself off opioids all alone and I'll never ever be the same - overall traumatic. No one ever told me the side effects of these drugs . I never was coached on the risks they just kept upping my meds. Started me out at 8 norco a day then I was put all the way up To dilaudid with accompanying slow release hydrocodone (zyhydros). Then one day it was no more .. no compassion .. I deal with my pain daily .. which I'm ok with . I'll never ever take another pain pill again and I pray for those who have turned to drastic measures to manage their pain. These doctors knew what they were doing but they were making a lot of money off us with Tricare insurance (the best insurance out there ) shame on you guys for knowingly handing the scripts out then when it came down on you you act judgmental like we are the ones who are to blame.

This was my third experience with a colonoscopy and my third time to get one with this organization. The first time was way back when it was located in a smaller clinic near the Methodist Hospital. The second was at this location during Covid. That was a very interesting experience, as it seemed like I was the only patient there. They made you sit in your car until they called you in. Everyone you came in contact with was wearing a mask, which was still a fairly new thing. Back in the procedural area, there were very few people in the halls. Maybe they limited the number of patients on the schedule and reduced staff. It was a surreal and apocalyptic experience for sure. This time, everything was different. The lobby was about 75% full. There were at least 8 people working behind the counter. Everything worked like clockwork. I checked in. I sat in the lobby filling papers out. I turned my papers in. They called me back and started prepping me for the procedure. From start to finish, at least ten people had been there to perform a specific role. And let me tell you that every single one of them was very nice and respectful. Each one of them took the time to explain their part, answering any questions I had. I never had the opportunity to feel embarrassed. I undressed to the point of being completely naked in total privacy and was instructed to lay on the bed and cover myself with a blanket before calling someone in. Even when I was laying on my side with my massive rear end uncovered, I never felt shy or embarrassed. It was all done so quickly and professionally that I didn't have time to worry about anything. Before I knew it, the procedure was over, I was in a recovery room with my lovely wife, and someone was serving me some delicious apple juice. I wholeheartedly recommend this location for your gastronomic care. I really like Doctor Chirag Patel, but I am confident they are all wonderful doctors. The place is clean, super organized, and staffed by awesome people. I'll be back in 2011 to do it all over again.

These guys are the literal best. Everyone at the office is so kind and seems to make a point of making visits as stress free as possible. The receptionists have always treated me kindly and have not rushed me when I'm scheduling with them or have additional questions, the hygienists are professional but talk you through every step so you aren't surprised as to what's going on or what happens next, and the dentists themselves are quick but efficient in handling the concerns brought up. I'd mentioned tooth hypersensitivity in one area and the hygienist went out of her way to numb the location for my routine cleaning and the dentist went over possible advanced solutions to help. I ended up getting a filling over the area which has helped the sensitivity immensely. At no other office I've tried prior have they offered to numb the location to help with the discomfort or be proactive about the issue when I've brought attention to it. I never thought it I could be such a simple fix, but they took the time to care and the issue's been mostly resolved. It's absolutely worth noting that the hygienists and the dentists aren't rough in the slightest and have the gentlest touch. While I myself don't have dentist anxiety, I'm sure this must be a relief for those that experience it. I highly recommend this office if you do have dentist anxiety or are simply looking for a new dentist. You won't regret it.
