One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. I'd like to touch base on 3 different areas of this hospital. First is labor and delivery, I had such a bad experience with the doctors on shift that weekend. Zero bedside manners, the nurses even had to advocate for me because what was happening shouldn't have happened. What was said should never be said to any mother dealing with preeclampsia. Jokes about a stillbirth is unacceptable. Listening to what the mother wants shouldn't be put on the back burner either. During my stay there were 2 other moms there that actually delivered their babies on their own, where were the doctors is my question? Second, the Nicu-if you know you will be delivering early by any means do NOT deliver here because the nicu is not even level 3 care for our babies. There were so many things that went wrong with my babies care. Yes, there were some pretty great nurses but when we advocate for our babies and it goes unheard or bypassed it's a problem for me. There's zero structure or even empathy for the parents there. I highly suggest as a second time Nicu mom to have your babies at North Central Baptist. Their care is unmatched. If it wasn't for my doctor relocating to Methodist I would have never left. My baby was discharged yesterday and she has not had an ounce of sleep, I had made comments to them saying she's been gassy from the formula and they refused to change it. What kind of care is this?!?! No one wants to see their baby in so much pain with little to no sleep (and not passing stool) Third, that damn security guard named Matt. Little man syndrome at its finest. It was our last day visiting the hospital to pick up our baby and my husband didn't have his band on him but I did. I didn't think it would have been an issue for us to go together since I had my band. Instead of politely speaking to us he arrogantly was belittling our thought process. I explained the situation and he had an attitude the whole time. I spoke directly to my husband and said "thank God this is our last time in this hospital" and Matt thinking he was included in our conversation said "amen to that" I replied back with where's your manager because there is no way anyone should respond back to parents of a Nicu baby like that. As if he owned the hospital. He said he's in his office do you want to speak to him and I said yes you can go get him, he declined and didn't want to get his manager and said for me to go get him myself. A typical loser- but that's ok because I'll be speaking to the manager and the hire ups because none of these circumstances should have happened. read more

My mom was having terrible back pain so we went here for ER visit #3 in just one week. We had gone to a neighborhood Baptist the first two times so I wanted to try this hospital instead. Neighborhood Baptist seems to employ once retired doctors which has been fine the previous visits my mom had but this time we needed a different approach to her issue so I'm glad we went here. This ER is staffed with either medical school doctors or doctors fresh from graduation. We were helped by a very nice doctor named Dr. Smith who ordered a new CT scan. The previous scan could not on point the exact reason for the lower back pain. This time, when the Hospital radiologists reviewed the scan, they saw she had T1 and T2 compression fractures on her spine which gave the direct cause of her pain. They prescribed muscle relaxers and Lidocaine patches. It helped bridge my mom's move to hospice much better than the previous visits. She ended up needing a stronger pain intervention but I'm so grateful they gave us the diagnosis that explained the pain. Methodist Hospital offers free valet in the weekdays which I suggest you use because the parking lot was packed and finding a spot would have been an extra stress I did not need at the time. read more

Came to get a scan done but wasn't quite sure where to go? My text reminders, emails, Dr's office's correspondence & even the Medical Assistant from the 5th floor I had first gone to didn't know where to direct me. She said go down to Admissions to ask them?? I proceeded to the 1st floor & was directed just a few feet away where I checked in. I had a QR code that was texted to me which the MA scanned. I used a hand-held E-Pad to answer some questions, sign consent forms & within 5 min. completed the forms & even paid on the E-pad. Shortly thereafter, another MA verified my info & gave me a hospital wristband which had my name & info. Within probably another minute, a technician named Nicole took me in the scanning lobby area, had me verify & sign more consent forms & took me in. The whole scanning procedure took maybe 6 minutes & I was pleasantly surprised & very comfortable! The machine they used was only 2 years old & was faster. I didn't even have to remove my clothes nor shoes!! High tech & so efficient these days! read more

Understaffed, incompetent doctors and administrators. Monday evening around 2330 my husband was admitted to the hospital, they tried to discharge him with a gastrointestinal bleed 3 times, with a stool sample being positive for blood. Witnessed them doing this to other patients waiting in the hallway of the emergency department with us. Patients finally got frustrated after not seeing a doctor or getting any treatment, thus agreeing to be discharged and told to follow up with their PCP. My husband was in the ED hallway for over 18 hours before he got a room in the hospital. My husband was pale, short of breath and had a high heart rate because he wasn't getting enough oxygen to his heart. Myself being a registered nurse in 2 different states, California and Texas knew not to let my husband agree to being discharged in the condition he was in. I am disgusted and appalled that his hospitalist only saw him after he refused to be discharged and then did not see Dr. Boylston for several days until again we demanded to know what his plan of care was, all while the oxygen in his blood (hemoglobin) dropped from a 11.3 from ED to a 8.6 till he reached a 7.8 under this doctor's care. (Normal hemoglobin for men is usually 14-18, this hospital standards are 13-16) Then the GI NP Iliana Jackson proved to be even worse by lying and not even collecting stool, even when asked. Contradicting herself in progress notes and lying to us. It was only till I told my husband to take a picture of his black tarry stool that would turn bright red once sitting in toilet water. Only then did she and her attending Dr. Naeem decide to order some tests. I am outraged by the level of care these doctors provided or actually didn't provide. It's a disgrace to the healthcare industry that they are allowed to practice and shame on the hospital for letting them carelessly care for patients. Even after complaining to the nurse manager in ED, demanding to see the Director Lauren in the hospital and the 2 doctors in person before they discharged my husband to explain "why" they felt it was ok to send my husband home in his condition after 5 days, he was discharged the next day, Sat. He got so fed up and tired of the disregard to his health, that he knew he could receive better care outside of the hospital. But being the weekend, I'm sure all the above mentioned slept well knowing they would not have to return on Monday and have to deal with me!!! Funny how none of them could talk to me, a registered nurse of 18 years. The only good thing to say about this hospital was the day nurses, especially Tonya RN, Jennie LVN, David night RN and 1 ED RN London being from another Methodist hospital who was called in to help the understaffed nurses, the night phlebotomist Gidget and the nursing assistants were the only thing positive about this hospital. We couldn't even get his meals on time, that's how bad this hospital is ran. All the money going to the 7-8 chiefs and head officers, who make millions of $$ a year but can't seem to provide the nurse and staff members what they need to provide decent patient care. I even messaged the CMO. SHAME on this hospital. If you want to live or want your family members to survive DO NOT take them to Methodist Hospitals!!! I'm only giving 1 star because of the nurses and staff members who helped provide comfort and care to my husband. I NEVER leave comments, not even good ones but I felt it is my duty as a patient advocate to express my deepest concerns regarding the care at this hospital. I will gladly accept a call from a top administrators or directors to explain their reasons or explanations for the lack in care by these doctors. Anytime I'm not feeling good this is the hospital I want to be at! I'm always treated with the most compassion and care compared to other hospitals. Always a thorough job and not just an in and out. Anything I needed was brought to me promptly and my room was kept clean. I want to S/O my ER doctor Dr Stevens (who I've seen multiple times) & my doctor once I was admitted Dr Pandit. I got hospitalized August 15 to the 20. It was the worse experience ever. It made me never wanna come back to this hospital. As soon I got there they took me straight back since I was in the worse pain of my life. They put you in an ER room where everyone is in chairs and you wait and they gave me medicine. I kept telling them it wasn't working. Meanwhile all that I did x rays and ultrasounds then they put me in a hallway for 6 HOURS! Not once did they ask if I need water or medicine or even introduced themselves. I had no idea who my nurse was. I started to freak out because my fingers were turning pale. They finally put in a "room" with five other people and you share a bathroom. The other patient next to me told me she was in the hallway for four days!!!! That night I got a nurse who kept complaining about her job and saying she can't wait to change profession etc. not what I wanted to hear when I felt so sick. The next morning I met the most AMAZING nurse her name was Krystal she has long brown hair. She works in the 4th floor but that day she came to help in the ER. Then the following day I got moved to another "room" it was the smaller thing ever. The nurses were ok. Then Krystal happened to help in that floor again and I felt safe with her. Finally day 3 I finally got a room. Guess where? The 4th floor. Where Krystal worked. Unfortunately I didn't see have her right away but the other nurses were ok. My first night in that floor not once did the nurse come. I even told her I know I am probably not sick as other people but just a simple question ask if I am ok would be nice. Then I had another nurse who kept yelling at me to go throw up in the bathroom and not in my bed. It wasn't until my last night where I got Krystal again that I finally rested and got taken care of. Another shoutout I got sick with my kidneys and just wanted give up praise to Amanda day who's the kidney specialist she's AMAZING been seeing her on the outside and all I can say is this hospital is blessed to have her. Overall horrible experience don't come here if you're sick or have a love one sick. If you do come I hope you get Krystal was your nurse. She's only one who cares and loves her job and explains everything and even comforts you when u cry. I hope she gets recognition she deserves it! Also side note when you leave the hospital they always call to check on you. I didn't answer but called back the number they mention because I had a question 1 month later and they still haven't called. read more

This hospital does not care about their patients. They only care about their numbers. My mother has been waiting for a room to be admitted and then they took us to a room that was double booked . They told that we had to back downstairs to wait for another hour or two for another room. This is completely unacceptable and incompetence. The staff admitted that this happens frequently !!! The ONLY saving grace was the Admission Supervisor, Brian! He was the ONLY THAT TOO ACTION and not just "i'm sorry" and turn a deaf ear to the situation! He is the only reason that i have two stars! if it wasn't for it would be one star!!! read more

They took over 2 hours to take my wife in she was then took in the hallway and had to wait there for a room and they said they would let me know when she got into a room where I could wait with her they didn't let me know. Then they put her in a room filled with other patients and we had no privacy and when they asked what was wrong the other patients could hear everything that was being said. read more

The nurses were great and caring. I went in and my hemoglobin dropped from a 8.5 to a 7.5. I had severe chest pains, dizziness and shortness of breath when talking or walking/moving. They didn't do a dam thing. Discharged me I'm not any better. Waiting to see a hematologist but that can take forever and in the mean time, I feel like death. They could have done a blood transfusion to bridge the gap between now and the hematologist. Instead they did sonogram externally and internally and had an obgyn talk to me about scheduling a visit at her office. read more

My son was admitted through the ER. He received very good care from the ER doctor and nurses. He was then transferred to the ICU where the nurses were wonderful. However, he experienced significant short term memory loss. The doctors who were on duty in the ICU the weekend that my son was admitted did not order a neurology consult. He was transferred to a room on Sunday. He never had a neurological work up and never had a neurology consul. On Monday morning the hospitalist, Dr Lee, wrote discharge orders for my son even though he still had memory issues and was constantly dizzy. When I arrived I asked if he had a referral to see a neurologist after his discharged. The answer was no. Dr. Lee was going to discharge him with significant memory issues, dizziness and hypertension (which he usually doesn't have). When I asked the nurse to tell Dr. Lee that I would like to speak with her before my son was discharged. Her reply to the nurse was that she had already seen him once that mornin. She was not wanting to speak with me about my concerns. After calling the nursing director and explaining my concerns the director told me that Dr Lee would talk with me soon. When Dr Lee spoke with me she was very arrogant. My son never was evaluated by a neurologist. But, after speaking with me and hearing my concern, Dr Lee cancelled my son's discharge until he got an MRI. I would not recommend Methodist Stone Oak hospital because in my opinion the quality of care is "hit and miss". read more

My 91 yr old mother came to emergency room 12/8 with UTI and fluid retention.WBC's in urinalysis. She has AML her WBC was elevated. None of the physicians ordered a culture until we were suppose to leave on 12/19.', 11 days later. She has had fluid drained from her lungs. Weight dropped to 115 down 8lbs. Increased diuretics and changed heart meds seems to be working much better. They did not release her because "waiting for cultures"???? She had at least 6 iv setups. Her arms started swelling had to rule out sepsis vs clot. Ultrasound found clot. They would not release her we were told waiting for cultures. They poured urine from a hat collection system and was not given anything to clean with. Mom said urine stayed in bathroom 3-4 hrs. I have pictures of what I saw in bathroom that morning. They drew blood cultures Why they didn't do PCR ?? THEY NEVER ORDERED A DIFFERENTIAL ON HER CBC SAID HER WBC 46000 WAS GOING UP had they done a diff they would have seen it was her leukemia. Not sepsis. Well here again waiting to go home.Sat Dec 20. At 4:00 Going thru discharge meds. The NEW HEART MEDICINE not on list. Now they can't find the in house Dr Vargas Who signed discharge. No one knows ??? What happens to people that don't pay attention and have family members visiting Here at Stone Oak Methodist. Still here 12/20 05:55 To be continued!!!! read more

This hospital used to be known for its fast ER and prompt staff attention and fully staffed. It's not that way any longer. If you're here you're gonna be here a very long time so long that you might as well pack a sleeping bag cause it takes that long to get a Covid swab and a flu swab back to the bathroom here it looks like it belongs in a prison look at the pictures. I would find another ER. They're just too busy and overloaded here. I can't get to you for hours even after they take the exams it's really a shame. They have patience in the hallway. Patients lined up everywhere. People are coughing everywhere clean rooms for Covid and then I think it's ridiculous to wait five hours for a strep test just saying. Rude nurse. I'll tell you what if it hadn't been for my son collapse and I wouldn't of showed up next time. I'll tell him to try a different one. I don't know this is just really changed. If I could give negative stars, I would. My elderl mother is currently hospitalized at this sham of a hospital. Zero communication, except when she was in ICU. ICU was great. Med/Surg floors-horrible. Ignored call buttons, ignored my requests to check her symptoms, ignored requests to be kept updated on her statuses, late or non-existent meals for her, a diabetic on dialysis. Breakfast at 10:30 and no lunch at 2:30 pm, then given saltine crackers and peanut butter. Then, she's left NPO for 3 days because they can't be bothered to run labs in a timely manner so she can be approved for a procedure until after the surgical team needs to leave for the day, so she doesn't get fed. A diabetic refused to be fed. Read that again. She called me crying because she felt like they were torturing her. Then, when I complain I am met with hostility by some young, condescending nurse who doesn't seem to give 2 s***s about anything and gives me a wrong number to the House Supervisor on purpose. She ought to have her license revoked. I called at least 10 times to the operator to try and get through to the house supervisor and got no where. Dumped calls, sent to the wrong hospital, sent to call trees in other departments-on purpose. This "hospital" is ridiculous. If you value your loved one, don't send them here!! read more

It's a place of great care. The doctors and nurses very helpful. My injury was taken care of right. The discharge was fun.

I had a hip surgery yesterday, too much anesthesia and caused nausea and vomiting for 12 hours in my room. The first nurse assistant helped me get clean and use bathroom, I have incontinance when I cough so I urinated on my socks and leg compressor , the assistant helped me get a pair . then the shift changed, and the little juice or water I took got expelled once I moved, the mess continued more times. The assistant was a spectator, didn't help . I walked myself to the bathroom -with out a walker- to clean myself and remove the socks, same thing a third time AND all while the floor was wet. I asked if maintenance could come but they didn't call anyone, OR they don't have the staff. the IV machine was broken so it beeped every 4 seconds, I reported this to nurse, assistant , front desk, they ignored me. It was midnight and I couldn't sleep due to the noise. I will Not be coming here again , you are on your own for afternoon and night shifts. read more

This facility is simply the DUMP to be referred as an Emergency Room. To cut to the chase: Con: I was in the emergency waiting room for over two hours, waiting to be seen. When they finally called me in to be screened, the staff in the back was just having coffee and chit chatting about what they watched on TV the night before.... (SERIOUSLY !!! I waited another 30 mins ‍ before this Dr. came in to examine me) Then to add insult to injury, the room curtain was WIDE OPEN as he proceeded to examine me.... I had to ask him to kindly close the area for some privacy. Very little was said by him after that, and I was left for another 20 mins. At that point, I gathered my belongings, and proceeded to another urgent care in the area. I was seen promptly, given the care I needed, and was treated with much respect. NEVER WOULD I RETURN TO METHODIST ER!!! PATIENT CARE IS DEFINITELY NOT A PRIORITY!! read more

My better half has had some issues lately that finally ended up with her having to have surgery. The doctor she was using for treatment recommended that we use this hospital. On the day of the surgery, we had to arrive by 6:00 A.M. This allowed for the completion of all the paperwork, all the pre-op stuff, and got her the number 1 position for surgery. We were able to have conversations with the doctor, anesthesiologist, and nurses. I don't know if it was due to covid, or if it was the surgeon's request, but instead of coming out to talk with me after the surgery, he wanted to call me. The surgeon did a fantastic job. He either invented, or perfected, the robotic surgery that my wife had. That type of surgery allows for a much quicker recovery, less pain, and less scarring. If you have to have surgery this is definitely the way to go. Hospital rooms were private, and our room was just up from the nurse's station. The room included a recliner and another straight back chair. All the nurses we came in contact with did an amazing job. I have to say that it seemed like they treated my wife as one of their own family. The only part of the hospital stay that could improve was that there seemed to be a miscommunication on the wife's diet while in the hospital. They would not let her have regular coffee! I'm still hearing about that:-) I hate that anyone has to go through any type of surgery. However, if you need surgery, I highly recommend this hospital. read more

My wife suffered a rotator cuff injury and fracture of the humerus. She and I have visited the emergency department, surgical clinic, surgical pre-operative care, and surgical unit at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak several times over the past week. They offer free valet parking at the main entrance. We self-park and don't mind the semi-long walk. At each visit within this facility, the staff were attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The facility is clean, spacious, and easy to navigate. There is ample seating in the indoor waiting areas, which offer huge panoramic windows that let in plenty of sunshine. There are also a couple of outdoor seating areas. Communication is top notch using a combination of a status board on a large-screen TV and phone calls directly to your mobile phone from hospital staff. Despite this place being nearly 45 minutes from our home, it is worth every minute of the drive. I can think of no better place to get high quality health care than this facility. read more

This may be one of the most disorganized business I've ever seen in my life--let alone hospital. You should be comforted and feel a sense of hope when at a hospital. Here you're just forgotten and lied to. My wife was in tonight for 5 hours, literally forgotten about the last 1.5 hours after we were told she could be discharged. Soiled sheets in an open room by where patients get their I.V drips--employees just passing and looking at it like "gross" and not doing a thing about it. Their solution was to just avoid the room instead of cleaning it for a waiting patient (there were many). The disrespect for their patience is outstanding. There was a nice lady whose name was Girtle or something like that, and some other nice staff. read more

My friend has been in the hospital since last Wednesday (6/18) it is now the following Tuesday (6/24)... I'm giving the hospital two stars because he was in heart failure and thank thank the Gods he's still alive!!! However just today he was waiting for a procedure for over an hour and he was freezing and his oxygen monitor had been going off for a minimum of 40 minutes and there was nobody there to check on him!!! I finally had to call the front desk and ask somebody to come check on him luckily shortly after someone did come with the fact I had to call isn't right! read more

Worst ER. The wait was immense and there was a roaches running around the back area where they drew blood. Only place where they put an iv in and out you back in the waiting room the staff were rude and had no answers and sent me home. If they bothered to do the right tests they would have seen the issue. They also lost my samples for lab and had to redo. Some of the lab I saw were not inline with my normal labs. I believe they sent the wrong information from another patient. If you value your treatment and being treated with respect go somewhere else. read more

Not even close to the hospital it used to be. Woke to expansion construction noise the day after surgery. Appeared to be understaffed and overcrowded. No bed waiting for me in pre-op and waited 2 hrs in recovery for a room. Nurses' care seemed to be very rushed and indifferent. Had construction workers dressed in overalls and hard hats parading past my room. A stressful 5 days following surgery, and certainly not conducive to a good recovery. Look elsewhere...anywhere. Nguyen (aka Keith Nguyen) Is Your Doctor Head of Methodist Stone Oak Cardiology Department- Please CALL ME PLEASE READ I have spent the past three years debating whether to write this review. Today, I have decided to share my experience in hopes of preventing this from happening to anyone else. My father, Oscar A. Agueda, was under the care of Dr. Keith Nguyen, also known as Hinh D. Nguyen. I called Dr. Nguyen numerous times without receiving any response. My question to Dr. Nguyen is: Why didn't you perform an emergency bypass surgery on my father when he had a heart attack just five months after you performed an emergency stent procedure on him? My father was 63 years old when he was admitted to Methodist Stone Oak Emergency Room and diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. He informed Dr. Nguyen that he had recently received his second COVID-19 vaccine, to which Dr. Nguyen responded, "We can't prove that's related to this." He then proceeded with placing stents. Five months after the stent procedure, my father was back in the emergency room--this time with a heart attack. He was in excruciating pain, screaming for help for SEVEN HOURS before Dr. Nguyen finally arrived. Seven hours! We all know that when a patient has a heart attack, immediate intervention is crucial. The longer you wait, the more heart tissue is damaged. While my father was hooked up to multiple machines, the assistant on duty repeatedly contacted Dr. Nguyen, who kept insisting that my father's vitals did not indicate a heart attack. Shame on you, Dr. Nguyen and Methodist Stone Oak, for leaving a patient in agony for hours without taking action. When Dr. Nguyen finally arrived, he confirmed that my father was indeed having a heart attack and proceeded to place additional stents. If the first stent procedure had failed, why did you place more stents instead of performing a bypass surgery? To this day, this entire situation haunts me. After the heart attack, my father was repeatedly in and out of the hospital. Dr. Nguyen eventually told him he would need a heart transplant. How did it come to this? Why didn't you do more? Why did you leave my father suffering for seven hours before showing up? If you could not figure out my father's case, why didn't you seek a second opinion from another cardiologist before it was too late? After the second stent procedure, my father's health rapidly declined. In just nine months he passed away--two weeks after his 64th birthday. I hope this never happens to another family. My father should still be here. Dr. Nguyen, out of respect for my father, you should have returned my calls. Now I see that the lack of urgency you showed in my father's case--leaving him for seven hours in unbearable pain--is the same lack of urgency you show to your patients. All I ever wanted was a simple phone call to ask you: Why didn't you do more? Why didn't you attempt a bypass if the stents had failed? I want the Head of Methodist Stone Oak Cardiology to contact me. My family and I deserve answers. read more

I have two things to state: One, the ER. I have been to many ERs and this one was by far the best experience I've ever had. I went in a week postpartum, in a lot of pain and was seen immediately. The nurses and doctors were kind, efficient, and informative. I was not the only patient there but they made time to see and hear everyone's complaints and genuinely seemed to care. Second, I see Dr Galindo with NEOBGYN and she is the most knowledgeable and caring OB I've had. My other OBs were fine but Dr Galindo always went out of her way to give me the care I sought after. I was pregnant and going in to have a second c section. I really wanted a VBAC which unfortunately this hospital steers away from unless baby's head is coming out. She offered safe methods to help induce naturally and I was able to have a healthy VBAC with no complications. This is meant to be my last baby but if by chance I become pregnant again, I would be fortunate enough to be seen by Dr Galindo again. read more

I try not to act as my own physician, and even if I may not always agree with medical advice, if it is logical, I will follow it. Due to persistent chest pain, I was directed to go to the ER by CareOne for further evaluation. I have to say that I was taken back quickly, which is a positive aspect of my experience. An EKG was performed, and the protocol was followed. While I was waiting, I observed an elderly patient in obvious pain. Her daughter had to ask if she would receive pain medication. It took her daughter asking the question before the nurse reviewed the orders. Orders may be delayed. It is an ER after all. But the staff had time to laugh amongst themself and talk on the phone. As a nurse (or perhaps a lab tech--she never introduced herself/title) began to set up for my blood draw, I asked her if the labs were for me. However, I was never informed about what tests were being conducted. A chest X-ray (CXR) was done, and the radiology tech was pleasant and respectful. I was brought to the open area that resembled a cattle pen due to the stalls. Dr. Castillo came in to examine me and discuss my concerns. While I understand that the emergency room needs to be fast but efficiency is paramount. She did not take a thorough medical history. During the exam, she assessed for pitting edema and performed a "cardiac" exam. She only listened to the pulmonic area. I asked her how the murmur sounded, as I have a PI murmur that was detected 25 years ago. Her response was, "I am not good at murmurs if they are not a 6 out of 6." What? If it were a 6 out of 6 murmur, I wouldn't need a stethoscope to hear it. At that moment, would it have made a difference? No, but I wanted to know what she was hearing. It was chest pain after all. Ultimately, I needed confirmation that my cardiac labs were normal until I could be evaluated by a cardiologist, and they were. With all of this, no one mentioned my elevated BP, which is a new finding. Chest pain is still present, but there is no structural damage to my heart as of now. Lastly, I strongly recommend that nurses change their gloves between patients and after removing IVs. read more

Ok first off. I have been in the Healthcare business for 30 yrs. The E.R. needs some serious help. Got here Christmas morning. I see 3 maybe 4 others waiting on rooms. Why do they rush you into a room to sit? We are on 35 min. Since someone has even come into the room. read more

I've had 2 experiences here & both were bad. The 1st one was in the fall of 2023 when they medically mismanaged me and then performed over $32k in Medicare fraud. After much debate, the CEO authorized reimbursement to Medicare for the $16+k in hospital charges. I'm still working on the physician charges. Recently went to the ER and they did not properly document medical HX, meds, or reason I was there. Nobody took proper triage of why I was there, nor spoke to me for nearly 6+ hrs. Finally, Dr asked me why I was there, but was distracted with another patient and kept walking away, so he never did an exam or listened. I was discharged from the ER after 8 hrs with somebody else's medical info documented as my own. Dr Williams falsified the chart about how I presented and what I said. He told me I had no history on file, no testing, and everything was normal... which it wasn't. He claimed I "imagined" my entire medical history and was just anxious. I had to go elsewhere to receive appropriate treatment. Don't come to this hospital unless you want to be medically gaslit or you want to be a victim of fraud. read more

Some bad reviews here. I was here yesterday for the ER. Super clean and the doctors and nurses were all very good. The most important thing is they fixed my issue. Lots of free parking. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. read more

Unfortunately I had to make a 'trip' to the ER. Icy driveways and I don't mix well. At the time I arrived there was little going on in the ER. Consequently I was seen and began treatment immediately. The ER became very crowded later along with the hosptal itself. The Nurses are always the first you see so that is the first impression that will stick with you. The nurses there are top notch in care and compassion and friendliness. I was seen by at least three doctors duinr the two days in the ER and all were excellent. After being evaluated and checked out for injuries it was determined I had at least 4 broken ribs and possibly more. No other injuries were discovered so it became a game of pain control. A lot of pain meds don't work well on me, including the high powered things. Dr Trexler determined that me bing a redhead I reacted differently to paiin meds ( I had read about this but he confirmed it and it explains a lot). He worked hard at trying to come up with a combination of drugs that actually worked. I was in bad enough shape that they decided to admit me. However they had gotten very busy and there were no rooms at that time so I spent two days in the ER but my car never suffered, just my ribs and having to stay on an uncomfortable gurney the entire time. Once I was moved to a room I spent another two days getting to a point I could manage the pain and self care at home. They were very diligent in determining whether I could be released by showing me how to get around and do things. Not pain free but being able to tolerate the pain. Dr. Trexler finally let us go home with a comprehensive list of instructions and how the meds were to be dispensed/taken. He was so thorough I felt confident we could do well. Nightmarish struggle . Placement of breathing tube 3 different times for an encephalopathy patient. Anesthesia was not a good thing for brain. He died struggling with a 2nd tracheostomy gurgling and aspirating. Horrible awful way to go. His jaw was painfully dislocated from the repeated breathing tube placements. Do NOT GO HERE. read more

My girlfriend came in for stomach issues, we stayed 7 days and sent home with no diagnoses. During that stay the service was ridiculously scarce, they kept throwing medications at her and nothing seemed to work. Very few test were run and then they only focused on the gall bladder which ended up not being the issue at all. 3 days after being released we are back, sat in the ER for 23 hours before we got a room. We finally found out that she has an infection in her intestines that most likely came from her last stay here. They bring her food 2 to 3 hours after it gets to the floor. We saw her nurse twice in a 12 hour shift and that wasn't the first time. We will be going back to the Baptist health system from here on out. read more

IV placement experience. Horrible. Next would like to add pic of the horrible burnt omelette I received this morning! Also, sometimes you get a kind nurse/health care provider and sometimes you get awful personnel. Unfortunately, I have been to many hospitals that I can make comparisons to. The nurses here were all fantastic! Wonderful, caring, professional and compassionate. They worked hard. The breakdown here is total lack of communication. They left my wife in an emergency room bed for close to three days. We requested a shower and clean clothes. We were told there was no facility for a shower. They had a doctor on staff who spoke broken English (at best) and she did not listen nor understand what my wife was communicating! Horrible as she tried to discharge my wife who was in extreme pain. Then she submitted a report that was inaccurate! We reported the inaccuracy but the hospital could care less. We requested they take action but never heard a word. . Do not let a loved one be here without having an advocate. This is not where I would want to go if I was sick. The ship has no, I repeat, no captain. read more

Let me preface by saying the rest of the staff during my labor, delivery and emergency c section recovery were wonderful. Supportive and gentle. The lactation consultants were very patient as well. There is some immense fault that lies with the anesthesiologist gentleman who was working 2/11/2025 around 9am when my girl was delivered via emergency c section. This thick accent gentleman not only told the nurse he is suprised women aren't used to this kind of thing as I doubled over in 7cm pain waiting for the epidural. He was also annoyed I couldn't hold very still as we took breaks during my contractions every 2-3 minutes. He claimed to numb me but I felt the entire needle go knot my back and as the contractions hit it as the worst pain of my life. The nurse held me bent over because the needle was still in my back as he tried to finish his work. Fast forward to the emergency c section, this gentleman; while I am numb, scared and unable to move; proceeds to discuss the horrific serial r@pe case that had recently made the news regarding a Dr who assaulted his patients as they performed the c sections. As I as already crying since I hoped my baby was going to be delivered ok, I also shed some tears just hoping behind this curtain wasn't some disgusting pervert as well. Who talks about such things at work, let alone as you assist with a c section. No one corrected or told him to shut up, they chimed in or worked on me. The rest of the labor, delivery and postpartum team were wonderful. Especially the nurses in the postpartum ward. Especially the nurse who comforted my baby while I apparently had some psychosis episode I cannot even remember having. WTF was wrong with that anesthesiologist. read more

I wish I could give this hospital zero stars but that isn't possible. We have had 2 stays at this hospital for my husband's uncle and both times have been awful. I personally wasn't in the ER with him but what I experienced checking on him for the 7 days he stayed there, I saw more than enough to confirm we will not use this hospital ever again. We visited a couple of times every day and rarely did I ever see a nurse even check on him. I wish I knew who got his vitals on the day they discharged him because he was amazing! He was very attentive, informative and kind. My husband was lucky enough to catch the doctor there twice. We found out that a seizure medication has been prescribed and it was totally not needed. He literally just had a battery of tests at a local neurologist and she saw no seizure activity. This hospital gave him the same meds when he was there in July 2024. We asked them to discontinue it, they said they would and then they clearly did not! My husband's uncle was a zombie and then they wondered why they couldn't get him to wake up! When they were ready to discharge him it was very sudden and they never bothered to call us, the family!! They called his assisted living to tell them he was headed back. The assisted living facility even got some kickback when they asked for his records while he was there. This is unacceptable and thankfully they were able to get the info they requested. I expect to hear from no one at this hospital but I will sure as heck make sure that none of my loved ones come here to be treated. read more
