My kids had a great time, but this is not my favorite fall-fun farm. But before I complain, here are the things that Lark Ranch does well. There are a variety of things to do for one price. There are zip lines (two zip lines!), two giant inflatable jumping pads, giant slides, tree houses, a tire climber, a giant rock wall, two different trains and much more. There's lots to do for all ages. The concessions that are available are relatively inexpensive -- a bottle of water was $1, for example. So now I'll talk about the irksome things. First, I visited during the pandemic, during a time when Indiana was spiking in COVID cases, but you'd think that COVID doesn't exist here. The woman at the admission window who helped us wasn't wearing a mask. Not even pretending to care and putting it under her nose like the other people who worked there -- nope, just no mask. And there were no signs or anything encouraging people to keep 6 feet apart in admission line. It was a free for all. A maskless grandma in back of us was so close she was almost touching my husband's back. It was very crowded, and they were not capping the number of visitors, so it was just masses of people. (Which, I guess, good for them?) We would have turned around and left at this point, but we were meeting friends who had driven a long way to join us. There is very little supervision at the attractions. Just know that when your kids are playing, you'll need to keep a close watch on them. Some of the attractions are not supervised at all, or supervised very little. The food is the kind of stuff you'd find on the midway at a fair. There are fajitas and curly fries, but when I visit a pumpkin patch during the fall, I expect to find more seasonal foods. Pumpkin donuts? Apple slushees? Please, just something with cinnamon in it! Give us something to make us feel like we're doing a fun fall thing! Speaking of fairs, there were fair attractions set up next to the farm, but you had to pay extra to do anything. I don't know -- I don't visit a farm in the fall to do fair rides and eat funnel cake. It was weird and made everything even more crowded. I don't know: Some people will have a fabulous time here, but this is not the place for me. It felt more like visiting a crowded fair than visiting a pumpkin patch, which was too bad. read more

We chose to go here after seeing a Facebook ad and checking out the website vs a different patch. This is more so a carnival with petting zoo, corn maze & pumpkin patch then a farm. 40min drive here only to find several things from the website, that were the deciding factor to come, were not around this year. Family leaving in front of us had same issue and when asking the gate keeper about the items they were told "Yeah those didn't get built this year. Maybe next year". The majority of the attractions have no supervision and we encountered many preteens with no parents who felt that they could do what they wanted and lines/rules didn't apply to them. Plenty of food options but all the vendors and add one are cash or cash app only. While there were atms on site this would have been nice if it was noted on their site. The corn maze wasn't too bad but someone had stomped a path flat 10 feet in between the entrance and exit. While we won't be back, I think they could benefit from keeping there website updated as to what attractions are available in the current run and giving a little more supervision to attractions. read more

Had a chance to visit this place last weekend and this has exceeded all the expectation I had for a typical fall festival farm. $15 per person for 3 years and above. Worth the money spent, considering the number of activities they offer. They have activities for all ages like train ride, barrel ride, zip line, farm animals, jumping pillow, corn maze, pumpkin patch, fair rides and so many other things. All within $15 and unlimited rides. Couples of food stalls and ice creams stalls were there too. Parking on the grass and plenty of spaces available. Was able to find spot easily on a busy weekend. There was a stall with fair food, which was okayish. Ice cream stall serving soft serve was really good. Appreciate the owners who were sitting at the entrance to welcome every guest. read more

We brought our family who were visiting from out of state to do this with us for the first time. First, the positives: $12 seemed like a great price for all of the activities you get to do, but as adults, we only rode the train. The kids played on the large jumping inflatable, the many play sets, mini tractor pedal cars, and zip lines. It was a fairly good deal with a wide variety of activities for kids. Our 7 year old rode a few of the carnival rides, and we were able to get fair food for lunch which we missed from not having the state fair this year. The train was the best part and very unique compared to other fall farms or orchards. If the kids were writing this review, they'd probably give it 5 stars. I'm rating it 3 primarily because COVID-19 precautions were minimal, and our family did not feel especially safe. Masks were optional outdoors, and the place was very crowded by about 1:30 pm. It was more crowded than we are comfortable with. No social distancing markers are present anywhere on the property. The lines for food and the train were very long, and the attractions staff were disorganized and didn't seem to know how to manage people in lines. We had been waiting at the front of the train line when they suddenly chose another entrance, and we nearly missed getting on. The food choices are pretty limited to fried fair food; you'll find much better quality, fresh food if you visit another orchard/farm in the area. The kids had fun, and we might visit again in another year but not during the pandemic. read more

I saw the online ads for Lark Ranch and decided to make the 40 minute drive with my two kids (m10 & f8) to check it out while they're on Fall Break. This was our first time visiting. Buying the tickets on the website in advance was a breeze, there was no line for getting our wristbands when we got to admissions and they looked up our tickets by name so I didn't have to fumble through emails to find them: easy! We came on Indigenous Peoples' Day (aka Columbus Day) so it was not busy right after their 11am opening. Yet nothing was really OPEN yet either, so all there was to do was the corn maze. I had seen online where other reviewers had said there was a scavenger hunt but saw nothing of the sort while there and no employees for directions on if it existed this year either. As it warmed up outside, the people started to show up and lines got longer (as expected). The train ride was fun (beautiful views!) and the farm animals were so cute!! I wish there were more signs to show you where things are on the property though as we never would have known the animals were there if hadn't seen them while passing on the train. Also, my daughter was pretty broken hearted there were no pony rides today but only a pony dressed as a unicorn you could pay an additional $5 to take photos sitting on for 10 minutes. We really got our hopes up about that attraction. Unsure if it just wasn't going on today because of the holiday or at all this year? Plenty of other things to do for younger kids like slides, games, rides, and things like that. Maybe not ideal for older kids though. We won't be coming again unfortunately. Sn: this ranch would make A FORTUNE if they did a winter train and had these attractions during the holiday season. Maybe they do? Just an idea haha read more

For $12 kids can do any ride except for the ferris wheel which is a good deal compared to others I've been to where you have to pay for each activity. There is plenty to do... rides, maze, train rides, walk through the pympking patch or the fields of sunflowers... there are fair food trucks and lots of playgrounds and fun things for kids to do. Top notch pumpkin patch located in central Indiana. The ticket price includes all of the main attractions including the train, hay ride to the pumpkin patch and the apple cannon. Lots of places charge admission and then tickets for the various rides. It was nice to see this be all-inclusive. There are a few items that cost extra like pony rides and feed for the chickens and goats. The pumpkin patch has a good variety of pumpkins already picked and some still on the vine so you can find exactly what you want. They were in great condition with a nice variety of sizes. We were here for 3 hours and still hadn't been to all of the events when the kids were worn out and ready to go. It was a great time and money well spent. read more

There were a lot of activities for kids, but I felt like the Ranch was not ready to open and had zero organization. The workers at the tractor races were paying more attention to their phones that making sure everyone was having a fair turn, the workers at the rock wall were allowing multiple lines and taking people who had just walked up before people who had been waiting, the rock wall workers were also instructed to only let you climb half way up? I'm not sure what the point of that is... We enjoyed the train ride and the slides, but everything else seemed cheaply put together. There needs to be more fall decorations, signage on how to get to the pumpkin patch (I heard one worker tell someone, "just walk over the train tracks into the field and grab one," and leadership among workers. I watched people walk in without a wrist band, but I had already paid online. I felt a little cheated that I paid $12 for my grandma to watch my niece and I do all of the rides, while other families walked in without paying. I'm still not sure if seniors require an unlimited band if they aren't riding rides because directions were unclear. It was also confusing as to what cost in the carnival section, so FYI all rides are free except the ferris wheel is 5 dollars. Overall, I don't think it was worth the 61 dollars for a family of 5 because of how rough around the edges this place is, but my 7 year old niece loved the slides so I'm thankful she enjoyed it. I'd pack a picnic lunch to eat in your car, pack a cooler of drinks, and you could spend 5 or so hours here with a group of kids age 5-8. Now that might sound like a lot of money but there are at least 12 activities you and your family can participate in over and over for the price.... Wow! This place is incredible! A few weeks ago, we were looking for a place to get a pumpkin this year. Then, we stumbled upon Lark Ranch, and we weren't disappointed. First of all, the property is beautiful and large. There is plenty to do here besides picking the pumpkin, and you will never get bored. The activities that we did were: the apple shooting, going on the hayride, sliding huge slides, climbing in the giant birdhouses, the basketball shooting game, and of course, picking our pumpkin. But, we didn't get to experience all of the festivities, though! There were a lot more than that! When we visited the pumpkin patch, almost every pumpkin was a good one! The pumpkin patch is beautiful; there were flowers everywhere! We picked perfect pumpkins. It would help if this place had more employees; and it wasn't very clear who was an employee and who wasn't. That would benefit this place a lot. Their apple cider slushy was so good! So was their pumpkin pie and other food. No, their food isn't overpriced like other pumpkin patches. For once, the food is reasonably priced for how good it is! This is one of the best pumpkin patches we've been to; keep up the good work! read more

Brought my family to Lark Ranch today...overall a positive experience. I would be remiss if I did not mention one interaction between a staff member and who I assume was another employee or volunteer. Thr volunteer/employee was driving a silver Acura and was working with the horse carriage and unicorn rides for the kids (I saw her later that day and she could not have been nicer to my daughter). As we were walking into the park Matt (who I later found out was the owner) accosted this woman about where she was parking, he indicated that she needed to park elsewhere and she calmly explained who she was with and that she was carrying equipment and needed a closer spot to carry everything she needed in. She also explained that one member of her party was disabled close parking was needed. Matt was having none of this and refused to listen to the woman and was frankly a jerk. I understand running a business is stressful, but to treat and employe/volunteer with such utter disrespect in full view of his patrons was unnecessary and unprofessional. I couldn't help thinking it cast a shadow over an otherwise good day. I felt uncomfortable giving my money to someone who treats employees this way. we may need to find other venues for fall fun in the future. read more

Lark Ranch is a great place to experience fall! I went today, on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't nearly as crowded as Waterman's tends to be on the weekends (I love Waterman's but those crowds are a bit much). For $5 a person, we went on a hayride to their pumpkin patch were we each got to pick our own medium-sized pumpkin for no extra charge. The $5 also paid for our admission into their 15 acre corn maze, but we didn't take advantage of it -- I think I would get really, really lost in 15 acres of corn! They also have a variety of bounce houses for kids, pony rides, tractors to play on, a bonfire and a small petting zoo.We loved feeding the buffalo, llamas, sheep, goats and cows! Lark Ranch sells a variety of fall essentials - pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, hay bales, corn stalks, etc. They also have refreshments available - the apple cider is good and is available cold, hot or as a slushie for just $1! They sell chili, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, etc. The ranch is open on Fridays and Saturdays until 10:00 pm, so if you are feeling adventurous, you can explore the corn maze in the dark! This was a good 40 minute trip from greenwood for us. Very worth it though! Upon arriving you could see the excitement from the parking lot. We paid $12 a person to enter. (EVERYTHING is included with admission fee excluding pumpkins and horse rides). That being said for only $12 you get to ride a train, play on several play ground areas, do a mini rock climb, see farm animals, jump on gigantic pillow pads, go down two pretty big slides, does this sound worth it yet? (And I didn't even name everything!) Our entire family loved spending the day here. My 5 year old son loved the gigantic slide the most probably. It was pretty high! We got to do the rock climbing wall and it actually was decent height and we really enjoyed this! They have delicious apple cider slushees and apple nachos here! Our family of four (plus grandparents) thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Lark Ranch. The train ride, slides, animals, rides... everything is included in the price of admission. Parking is also free. We purchased tickets online and were able to skip the giant line to get in. There was a live Elvis impersonator and several food truck options. We loved the hay ride to pick pumpkins and the train, but there are lots of options our little ones are too young for (zip line, fair rides, huge slides..) The ranch was clean and well maintained, but could definitely use more signage. read more

Love this place ! We had so much fun , came with my 2 year old and his friend ! Started with the playground sets ( there are like 3 or 4). Then went down a tunnel slide ( make sure to grab your mat at the bottom first). Then to the train rides, it's a 4 or so minute ride around . Next off to see all the animals, all except the chickens and turkey are cooped up. Then , went to the bounce area , so much fun! After , got some treats awesome shake ups , they are actually fresh and not drowning in sugar . Also got the pumpkin cider donuts with icing UGHHHH SO GOOD. Then ended with the boys playing in the corn /trucks , they loved this and it is tucked away so make sure to ask if you can't find it . What an amazing way to spend a Friday night . Vastly spacious, but still enclosed, this was an area that parents could let their kids run a little wild and feel assured that they were safe. Tree houses, hay rides, a jumping pillow (I'm not sure how to describe it except a giant pillow of air that you can run around on), pumpkin patch, snack shack, and a very ornate Corn maze- there is something for everyone and no one should be bored! One of my fave memories of this place is watching the joy on my child's face riding the mini train and climbing on hay bales. They have cute picture props like a giant pumpkin. Very disappointed in Lark Ranch. It was overcrowded with no Covid precautions. There was a sign saying "mask required for entry" and the lady directly under the sign selling tickets was not wearing a mask. It was also much more like a carnival with fried food, games, and rides than a fall event. It looked nothing like the pictures online. The "giant" haystack has been reduced to small pile of hay full of mud. It was a terrible experience and we drove 4 kids there after showing them the pictures online only to have to leave in 44 minutes because we felt it was so unsafe and disappointing. read more

This is a really neat place. Drove out with our almost-two year old after hearing about it from a friend. I think it's probably a little better for slightly older kids, but there was still plenty to do for little ones. We had a great afternoon at Lark Ranch, train ride pumpkin patch, snack, sand box 5 levels high, hill slide rock climb, bungee bounce, pony ride, huge corn maze, something for everyone. The adults can go down the slides, do the rock climbing John Deere peddle tractors. It was more than we ever expected. A very nice bathroom facility, under cover picnic area. Lark Ranch is an awesome family outing!! The corn maze is great for the older teens, and the many play structures, tree houses, and slide is great for my younger children. We love going on the hay rides to pick out our pumpkin at the pumpkin patch and make it a family tradition. I'm excited to get to ride the new rides this year as well as the trampoline, and rock wall. For only $10 a person(under 4 free) I always look for the $2 off coupons around greenfield at McDonald's and speedway, still for all the stuff to do it's entertainment for the whole day and we don't ever get to do everything so we have to go at least twice. read more

A fun experience for me and a few of my friends! There's something for everyone of every age here. My friends and I (who are all teenagers and relatively new to driving) drove from about an hour away and one of our cars' battery died at closing time in the parking area of the ranch. So many things wrong with this place. Everything is understaffed, costs extra, and is disorganized. The toilets were disgusting and had not been cleaned all weekend with nowhere to wash your hands. The limited staff was completely uninformed about what each station cost. There was no petting zoo, in fact the animals were behind a fence posted with "no feeding, no petting allowed" signs. The pumpkins had no defined size for pricing. They just eyeballed and gave us a guess. The corn maze itself was poorly designed and once you were on one path, there was no way to get to the others. We thought we'd try a new place and drove from Lafayette to check this out. Well never make that mistake again! We're going back to Exploration Acres to get a pumpkin bigger than a cantaloupe and get lost in a real maze. read more
