Hadn't been in since it opened, decided to try it out again today. Great choice! Ambiance is on point. Food is great. Staff is friendly, Haley made great drinks! Espresso martini and an old fashioned for us, along with a bleu cheese burger with fries we split. Hit the spot for sure. Only bad thing was the Dexter guy that sat next to me and gave off serial killer vibes and his mannerisms were dead on something of a Dexter episode. Of course never show fear because these jugaloons get satisfaction from that. Anyway coming back to try the steak next time and in hopes Dexter wannabe will not stroll in because we shall be strolling out. Be careful out there everyone. read more

We stopped in Greenfield, on our way through . We had the ribeye , mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, a cheeseburger ff , 2 beers and a cocktail! We sat at the bar it was a great experience! GRIGGSBY'S is in an old brick building, and I love the simplicity of the design. There are few seats downstairs, and most of it is located upstairs. The food is always delicious ... we were quite happy with bone-in pork chops with mashed potatoes and carrots. It was a large thick chop. I ordered the grilled chicken with some sort of potato pancake (?) most recently. The chicken was a little dry but was still very very tasty and all the rest of it combined made it great. It doesn't seem like a bar would have such great food.... the service takes a while but once I start eating, I usually forget how long it took to get to us. Wait staff is friendly although I occasionally felt like we were ignored but it was a Friday night so I tried to be patient. read more

We would have loved to try this place but be warned that you must be 21 to enter. We had our cousin with us to celebrate his soccer season, but alas in the rain and wind we were rebuffed. Ugh. I'd appreciate that info front and center so we don't make this mistake, he was disappointed. read more

Absolutely great time! Food was excuizete and the service was impeccable. My wife and I stopped here on our way from San Antonio to Dayton and for a small town in the middle of nowhere it was wonderful. One of those hallmark type movie towns. Anyhow the food was cooked perfectly, prices were very reasonable, and the portions were good. 2 floors plus outdoor seating and plenty of staff to control the situation. Parking lot is abundant and even if it weren't plenty of street parking. Service was great, our server was friendly, and quick even with the 2 floor climb ‍. Overall great experience! 10/10 read more

Cool little gastropub in downtown Greenfield. The menu states the food is locally sourced, which I love. We had the steak tips and citrus marinated chicken both were really good and had good flavor. Our server was very friendly and gave us the suggestions on our entree and her suggestion did not disappoint. We'll be back again soon. read more

Very cute restaurant in the middle of historic Greenfield. There is a large bar right as you walk in, and they have more restaurant seating up a set of wooden stairs. You can tell the owners really have an attention to detail as you're walking up the stairs. From what looks like the original brick, to the wooden G in the floor of the landing, the owners seem to really appreciate the beauty of an old building. I ordered a local cider, and I was glad to see a variety of local breweries on tap as well. While not a huge selection, they had picks from Sun King, 3 Floyd's, Bier, and Bell's. Since I went on a Tuesday, they were having a $4 draft special. I decided to try one of their burgers as my entree when I saw that they have their own burger blend from locally raised beef. While in Greenfield the other night, my husband and I decided to grab a bite to eat. This restaurant was right on the corner off of Main St. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated almost immediately and chose the outdoor seating since it was a warm night. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. I ordered a Sun King Wee Mac to drink, fried pickles for an appetizer, and Patty Melt with fries. The food was hot, delicious, and presented well. They had a diverse full bar menu and lots of great pub food options. There is a lot of construction off of Main St. diverting a lot of highway traffic so it was pretty noisy with semis driving by, so indoor seating might be preferred on next visit. read more

I've found this place to be just average each time I've stopped in. The drinks are a little pricey for what you get. One drink I got tasted exactly like I sprayed some lavender body mist into my mouth. The food is okay, but nothing to write home about. I do think it's one of the better options for a nice night out if you are looking to stay in greenfield. read more

Was leery about trying it because of some of the reviews, but thankfully I don't listen to most people. It was fantastic, one of the best meals and experiences I've had locally in a while. Got seated upstairs right away, our waitress MacKenzie was awesome, and made some great recommendations for my wife. Atmosphere is relaxed and great for conversation. I had the NY Strip with sautéed green beans and side salad. Steak was extremely flavorful, and the beans were cooked & seasoned perfectly. My wife had the Southwest Burger, it was moist and delicious. Great flavor to the bun and the steak fries were crisp with a light fluffy center and salted just right. Can't wait to go back. Look, I'm going to give 5 stars and a caveat. I love this place like few others. I'll make a bold statement and say their ribeye from Tyner Pond is easily the best steak for 100 miles in any direction. It's a bold claim, but it's true. The problem comes in their total inability to staff their kitchen with enough consistency to make a consistent product. I fear this restaurant is collapsing. They have the clientele, the space, and the food, they lack enough staff to excel. This is a GM issue plain and simple. Hopefully they'll pull it together. read more

Cute spot right in the downtown area, outside had hung lights and a casual vibe. Had Buffalo dip for an appetizer, and the mule, both were just okay. First time I tried to go did not realize you had to be 21 and I had my 18 year old son with me so that was slightly disappointing. Went there for "date night" with my husband. The BBQ pulled pork nachos were amazing. I had the pork chop dinner and my husband had the steak dinner and they both were just okay. I had a drink and it was just eh. Not in a rush to go back but glad we tried. Waitress was friendly but service was really slow. It is definitely more bar than restaurant. read more

There are no words for how delicious all the food is. Personal favorites are the wedge salad and the filet. Everything is super fresh and lots of locally sourced options. The drinks are good too. I had a mint julep on special. It was the first one the bartender had ever made but I wouldn't have guessed it. The service is always top notch, even when they're busy. Stopped into Highsmith gunsmith on my way through town and asked where we should eat. They directed us here and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing and the food was even better. We got the shrimp appetizer, glazed chicken entree, and New York strip. All of which was mouthwatering. Great whiskey selection and plenty of beer options. Fun place to meet friends. It was a COLD night and our table was upstairs beside the window. It was sooooooo cold. On a decent night I would have enjoyed it a bit more. We had a great server. BBQ nachos for an appetizer was perfect start. I had a cob salad for dinner with Brussels Sprouts, can't go wrong with either. Burgers were ordered and everyone enjoyed their meal! The decor is that of a gastropub as stated, with virtually only the natural light of the day and exposed brick with dark wood and black metal accents. It has two floors with the bar and just a few tables on the main floor and several more tables on the upper floor (how do the waitresses run up and down the stairs all day?). There is also an outdoor patio for nice weather seating. We went on a Friday evening and they were pretty busy with only 2-tops available. So our party of 3 had to wait about 5 min for a table to be cleared off upstairs. Our food took forever to come out, we were so hungry by the time it arrived. We all ordered the same thing: pulled pork sandwich which came with fries. There were mixed reviews. I thought it had a very smoky flavor..too much so, to where it tasted like burnt wood chips. However, another said they liked that flavor. They did not bring out any additional bbq sauce to add to the sandwich, so one person thought it was too dry. The one thing I did appreciate was that the bun was not soggy from the pork juice. I hate that! The steak fries were very good, cooked and seasoned just right. I don't know if I'll return as I did not exactly enjoy my sandwich and we had to wait too long for our food. read more

There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!
