It's flat, and there are several large, mature trees so you've got shade and peace and quiet. It's best to access from 900 East. There's a small sign and uphill road that comes east off of 9th just south of 45th. Take that for a block or so and it appears on your left. Hopefully you're not out cruising Yelp to find cemeteries to go hang out in. Because it's creepy, that's why. But if you were, this small hidden one will do.

All of the five star reviews are accurate: I can't recommend Utah Valley Mortuary highly enough…read more I live out of state and was in Utah to be with my mom as her life ended. In the days leading up to her passing, I was in no mood to do a lot of research and price comparisons with mortuaries. I had received a few recommendations from local friends and acquaintances, and Utah Valley Mortuary was the first (and only) place I called to make arrangements, in an almost arbitrary selection process. I was fortunate, then, that Matt and his team were extremely sensitive and professional from the very beginning. As others have mentioned, their pricing is reasonable and they didn't push us to buy anything we didn't feel we needed, which was great because when we buried our father 12 years ago the mortuary we used attempted to prey on our grief and push us to spend unnecessarily. Mom's body needed to be transported to California for burial and Matt was literally right at our side through the entire process of coordinating with the receiving mortuary. He made sure we understood all the expenses that the other guys were charging us as well. When we found out that our cemetery wouldn't be able to schedule us for burial for several weeks, Matt let us store the body on his site for extra time at no extra charge. I had Matt's cell phone number in order to call and text him on short notice and he was always so quick to respond. If I lived in Utah Valley I would plan on using this mortuary for all future services involving the passing of my loved ones. But since I don't, the best I can do for now is to strongly recommend Utah Valley Mortuary to you and anyone else looking for the highest quality assistance in dealing with end of life logistics. A bright highlight in a time of mourning.

Utah Valley Mortuary far exceeded our expectations! They took care of both my parents (10 years apart) and were so attentive with every detail. All details were handled so well and the communication was great as well I cannot recommend this mortuary more ! Truly one of the best experiences with what was a very sad moment. You will be well taken care of.

Knowing professionally the history of care and thoughtfulness I 've experienced working with them over the years, it was a no brainer. Brandon and Byron were both exceptional in caring for us and my mom. I am forever grateful for you, Brandon and Byron, and your great care and compassion. Losing a wife, mother and grandmother so quickly is so hard. You helped make this traumatic experience and time for us more easy to bear. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. -Erin

The grounds are well maintained and look very nice. Parking can be a little tricky, especially if there is more than one service happening at the same time, like the night that I attended. When I walked in the front door, there were directional signs as well as staff members to direct traffic to the appropriate service. The facility is nice and has a large chapel for services as well as rooms for families to greet guests. It has a very LDS feel to it, from the décor to the LDS hymnals in the chapel. Although based on another review, I'm sure they will accommodate other religions/beliefs as well.

Everyone that worked there was so kind and considerate and polite to us, and not sort of a what I expected. It was more honest and real, and I felt that they were being extremely respectful. I sadly had to attend my sister's funeral. I was sort of dreading going to a funeral parlor, thinking it would be drab and dreary. As I entered, I noticed there was several small rooms which is very intimate to me instead of a large place with lots of chairs in it waiting for people to come and pay final respects. In each of the small rooms, there is an array of photographs that they had put together and a beautiful arrangement, reminding me of my life with my sister and my family. It really touched my heart very deeply. It was so well thought out. It was so nice to look at my sister's life from her childhood until her last days. Thank you, strikes for being so sensitive and considerate and putting together a beautiful presentation of my sister's life and making her last journey a beautiful exit. They lifted so much stress from our shoulders by handling the funerary/celebratory plannings. They were warm and supportive, approachable, easy to communicate with, and met all our family's needs. They worked behind the scenes, allowing us the ability to grieve without extra stressors. After such a sad and unexpected death, we really needed things to be uplifting. Those two amazing women worked as a team, and made our loved one's Celebration of Life a great success! The classy ambiance, artfully displayed photos and memorabilia, the delicious hors d'oeuvres, the staff... Our evening was filled with happiness and remembrance, instead of sadness and getting caught up in our grief. Many of our guests said they loved the evening. Some even said they hope to have a similar experience for their families. Start to finish -- from transporting and embalming our loved one, to the very end at the cemetery -- the Starks team was there for us every step of the way. PS I almost forgot to mention that Starks' services cost thousands of dollars less vs the bland funerary services that we had previously received for my grandparents through Larkin Mortuary. Thank you for everything.
