My crazy father passed away on August 31, 2018. Leaving no will and no plans~ I guess because like many, Ron thought he would live forever. (But in fact didn't!). He was in Salt Lake City and I in San Diego. Matthew showed the utmost professionalism when dealing with some of our rude, angry and demanding family members. He was patient and polite long after what might be expected- as he dealt with many phone calls from across the country. They have Great customer service. Frank and Tanner came to our parents home and met my mom. They were kind, informal and friendly. They talked to my mom and Dad and listened to what my mom wanted for her services. They were very approachable and they were relaxed and easy going. They knew our names and referred to us appropriately. They provided us with general information and how to prepare for the passing of my mom. When my mom passed away they came at 5:00 in the morning to pick up my mom. They waited until my brother came to say goodbye before they took my mom. They were discreet. They gave us step by step instructions with contacting the cemetary and insurance company and provided us with death certificate and other paperwork. They went out of their way to help us relax. They answered every question. When asked for direction they offered suggestions that were reasonable and met our families needs. If there was a problem they worked with us to correct the problem. Frank was very supportive to my Dad. Frank referred to my mom in a very kind way. Tanner, affectionately known as the "IT guy" He worked with us on the video and music. Jenn styled my moms hair and my mom looked very nice. The building was a home converted into a small mortuary. It gave the feel of small town personal service. They helped us stay within budget. We had the services at a church and Frank and Tanner worked with the church personnel with making sure the building was secure. Either Frank or Tanner was always with my mom. They transported my mom in a Cadillac Escalade. I would recommend them to family and friends because they were so friendly and patient with us. I give them 5 stars for cost of services, accomidating our families needs and problem solving. Thank you Frank and Tanner for making a difficult time in our lives easier less stressful. We owe you a lot of chocolate chip cookies.

After a year of my Mom calling and bothering them, the finally realized they didn't order it. I go up on Veteran's Day and the Veteran's Memorial is full of weeds, STILL. It has been for months. We have been asking them to weed it plus other families have too. They have Christmas decorations up already, their big tree is decorated with lights. But the can't take care of the Veteran's Memorial for Veterans Day! Does is get any worse???

They went above and beyond to be responsive to our needs. Brian helped us through all the necessary arrangements at the mortuary and Mike went with us to the cemetery in Tooele. His attentiveness but unobtrusiveness were extraordinary. Sadly, this isn't our extended family's first experience with death but it was our first experience with Memorial. I highly recommend them. Not only didn't they add to the trauma they sheparded us through a terrible time in a such a tender way. As the grandma I wanted to be sure they were gentle with the baby and his parents. Our family chose this funeral home primarily because of the lower cost of cremation, as it had been recommended to us. Unfortunately, the service we experienced did not meet our expectations. When we arrived for our appointment, we were told that our family member had already been picked up from the hospital by another funeral home. This was concerning because less than an hour before our appointment, a call had been made to the hospital notifying them that Premier would be the one picking up our loved one. This created confusion and added unnecessary stress during an already emotional situation. Additionally, the interaction during the arrangement process felt very impersonal. At a time when families are grieving and making difficult decisions, compassion and clear communication are extremely important. We paid for the cremation and later that day received notification that there would be additional cost because of weight of the body. Which was disclosed over the phone when setting up appointment. There was a lack of attention to detail. We did not feel that level of care during our meeting. Another moment that stood out was when we were told that an urn that was part of cost, would be provided to us in a black plastic bag. This felt unexpected and did not match what we anticipated for such a sensitive matter. Our family was dealing with a great deal of emotion and simply wanted to complete the necessary arrangements. However, based on our experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options and ensure they choose a funeral home that provides both professionalism and compassion during this process.

I attended a viewing last night for a friend from many years ago, so my review is based on my experience as a guest, rather than someone that had to plan the funeral directly. The building itself is a little dated and in an older part of town, but it seemed to be well maintained. There was plenty of parking, and I noticed overflow parking available across the street, if needed. Upon entry, it was very clear where to go, sign the guest book and then proceed to visit the family. There is a calm, quiet feeling throughout the building-at least in the areas that I visited. I hope not to have to be in a position to plan a memorial service for someone any time soon, but if I do, I would consider Goff as a viable option.
