everythings amazing the food games but its not fun when people are going to fast around little kids

In response to a response to my original post. I assume the cameras that were "reviewed" are not working or the fact that it was the owners son because I had 3 people I didn't know ask me if I was ok after I was taken out. One of the people I did not know said the kid is a continuous problem. I am not sure how to make a formal complaint since I went to the snack bar spoke to 3 women to inform them and all I was told was to go to the guy standing in the rink which the incident occurred in front of. This also happened right in front of where the parents sit to watch their kids and everyone sitting there had saw it too. I was never told to write a "formal complaint" or asked if I wanted to do so. Maybe posting a sign or having employees informed of what to do when a complaint is made so that it is "formal complaint" would be a good suggestion. read more

LaRose's Skating Rink has a beautiful and clean interior and the management does not allow unruly and nasty children to remain in the facility, which is fantastic for the other skaters. Floor guards keep skaters in control. Refreshment bar is open for the skating sessions and the prices for food and drink are reasonable. Very nice seating area with tables and attached benches for sitting and eating or watching the skaters for the non skaters. The skating floor is smooth and great to skate on. A lot of fun for true skaters. Skated there for many years. The Birthday parties are well run too. Always enjoyed the music selection too. A great place to skate for the whole family. read more

I would recommend this rink has an awesome floor alittle small but well kept, and awesome place to have a birthday party I've done it for my kiddos! Well worth the money! read more

WOW this place is AMAZING my kids want to go there every Friday and Saturday night. The rink is small but also if you want to take a break they have seats and sell food and drinks to be honest its REALLY cheap for a roller rink like this i would recommend this place to go roller skating! Also about the owners there trying to run a business this about one of the comment i saw... They might seem crabby but they are nice and if you know logic those claw machines are always ripoffs so if you didn't know that, now you know. Every single claw machine is a ripoff they have them everywhere so jeez. Anyway I would recommend this place to people OVER THE AGE OF 10 because teens are always going around in a group in the rink its never ending BUT if you do have a kid under 10 that wants to go i would definitely keep your eyes on then or stay with them on the outside near the wall... I saw a child she was probably about maybe 4-5 she went in the rink alone, I was TERRIFIED. I never saw her parents only her big sister standing there calling her name and not going over to her, I was watching the little girl like a hawk because of how scared i was for the little girl, but thankfully one of the employs was watching her and going towards her to watch her, I was so relieved I thought i was going to have a panic attack! So far its a really nice place and some teenagers their are nice! read more

LaRose's Roller Skating Rink A Great place to take your family skating! This roller skating rink has been operating since the 1920s by the same family. Handed down from generation to generation! my father and my mother as teenagers went skating there. As did I as a child to my children and their children have enjoyed skating in this roller skating rink! I have had Birthday Party's there have attended Birthday Party's there and have enjoyed myself and never once have I had a problem with the owners! As of the review of the father of a child who called and complained about a stuffed toy! ( the owners are not responsible for the vending machines in their building) The owner did not have to refund the money; the owners are responsible to contact the owner of the machine and have that person refund the money! On all of the vending machines that I have seen the Name and telephone # is on the machine to contact the owner of the machine and complain and get a refund and or the prize that was won! This establishment is very clean from the skating surface to the sitting area to the eating area and The bathrooms are very clean!! The owners emphasize on SAFTY !! and SECURITY!! So do not let one bad!!! Review stop you from letting your child or you go to one of the Cleanest! Safest! and secularist! ( the outside door to building is locked and the owner has to buzz the door open) and this Rollerskating Rink will continue to stay open for generations to come!! And Seriously after a long night of dealing with children who their parents have not taught them to be polite in anyway!!(I myself have heard some children with a fouler mouth than a sailor!) I am not saying that this child is one of these children. I'm just saying that they are out there. This establishment is a great place to take your family or go with your friends and make a great day or night out of it!! So go and SKATE!! read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone out there. I recently allowed my 13 year old son to go skating with some of his friends on a Friday night. In my eyes the owners are nothing but a bunch of rude crabby old people who should at this stage of game retire. The reason I say this is because my son while there played one of the crane games where you win a stuff animal if it makes it over to the drop area. My son got one of the stuffed animals in the claws & while bringing it over to the drop area the string holding up the crane broke & dropped the animal. His friend (not him) got upset at what happened & went over to the owner to tell him what happened. The owner refused to give my son the prize he would have won instead refunded him his 50 cents. My son didn't want his money back he wanted that prize that he would have won. He told me of his issue & that he was upset that the owner ripped him off. I proceeded to call to let him know that I didn't like how he just ripped my kid off. He asked if I was honestly calling about that? I said yes & he said that he doesn't own the crane game. I then asked him to give me the person who does own it phone number. He told me that he refused to give it to me & that he wasn't going to call the owner for me. I said I don't think that it's very nice that he rips off kids. He then stated that my family was no longer allowed at LaRose's. I told him don't worry I won't return back to a place that thinks it's OK to rip off a kid. We had a Birthday Party there before & they weren't to friendly to deal with back then either. If you look up crabby & old in the dictionary you'll see the owners pictures there as examples. If the owners don't want to be responsible for the games they have in there establishment maybe then they shouldn't have them in there. I'm sure though that they are getting some type of kickback otherwise there would be no other reason why they are there. All the guy would have had to do is apologize & either give my son the item he was supposed to win or take his name & address & send him 1 when he had a chance. Seeing as he didn't own the game this would have been no loss to him. Don't allow your family or children go to such a poorly & rudely run business. read more
