Wow, a step back in time from the decor to the service. Got a few "sweeties and honeys" from our server as she took our order then shouted it to the grill and fry cooks. One on fryer and one grill. Onions piled high on the grill top. Lots of bustling of the staff going to and fro ... did I mention that most the staff this Saturday were elderly ladies working their butts off. You could tell the food was gonna be good and the staff had been there quite a while. Highly recommend for the experience and step back in time. In town for business and was hungry for some breakfast. I had noticed this location the night before on yelp and had to give it a try. Good old-fashioned diner and the ladies cooked up a fantastic breakfast. Service was great and I love the diner atmosphere. They also have homemade cinnamon rolls right beside the checkout. We were in the area heading to the bourbon trail, and wanted something quick and easy for breakfast. It's your usual diner food selection, though it looks like they have more options for lunch. Service was prompt, not super friendly, but not unfriendly either. Again, what you expect out of a diner. I do like all the retro pictures and signs on the walls. They even had an old cigarette machine by the restroom. Lots of character. It's a bit of a drive from 65, but if you want something other than fast food or a gas station sandwich, it's worth a detour. read more

This place is the quintessential local diner. The food is exactly why you expect. The staff is rushed and a bit cranky. The fry cook does her best with the low quality ingredients but still manages to make the French toast tough. I can't understand how the use of "Wonder bread"! Is ubiquitous in this state! Don't go out of your way to try this local relic but it will fill you up if you're passing by! A town favorite according to a friend's grandma, so we all went together while I was in town! The waitress was very sweet and helpful, and everything was so good! I've been here for both breakfast and lunch and would keep going back weekly if I thought my cholesterol level could handle it. I love the chili and grilled cheese. My husband ordered the Finn Special at breakfast (pictured) and it was incredible! Random stop here from California on our way to Fort Wayne. The place was BUSY on a Saturday morning. Full of life, friendly and exactly what you'd want to see on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." The first thing I must order in Indiana is a Hoosier Tenderloin. Tenderloins cannot be done property outside of Indiana. This tenderloin sandwich did not disappoint. In fact, we may have to re-route our return trip back to Seymour to get another one. Coffee was standard issue diner coffee, which hit the spot. Service was prompt and courteous and the "tye dye" t-shirt uniforms on the staff made the place a little happier.
