My coworker and his family have been going to them for many years, and I can see why: their office has a very homey feel and they really get to know you as a person, not just a patient. Part of the notes they took two visits ago was that I had recently gotten engaged, so when the dentist came in to take a look, he congratulated me...and then they remembered to ask me about it when I came in again six months later! They also always ask about work and any other stuff I may have mentioned the last time I was in. I've recommended him to another coworker who now really likes him as well. I am blessed with good teeth so I only ever get routine cleanings, but they do a very good job.

I asked to be on their cancellation list and they called me several times to see if they could work me in sooner. Dr. Jones took the time to get to know me, and do my exam. The hygienist was thorough and kind. At the beginning of my cleaning she offered to turn the television to a channel I preferred. At the end of my appointment they had my favorite Starbucks drink waiting for me at the counter, a complimentary service they provide. I was terrified of dentists after a bad experience and had so much anxiety going in for a tooth concern. But Dr. Leftwich was amazing. He listened to my concerns and offered me the best solution. I think what impressed me the most was that I didn't feel like a transaction and he didn't think my anxiety or stress was insulting or annoying. He was very empathetic and kind. I wish more people had that kind of approach with patients. I ended up having a cavity. Normally that would have sent me into a spiral (from my past experience) but he walked me through exactly what we were going to do and how easy it was going to be. I went in on my lunch break a few days later and was done in 30 mins. Seamless, no pain, and even the aesthetic of the filling was perfection! I couldn't even tell where the cavity had been. I discovered this amazing office 3 years ago as I was blessed to find out about Lakewood for the 1st time! They make you feel like you have been a patient for a very long time. Norma was the one to seat me for my treatment and you can tell she has passion for what she does. I even had treatment in a room with a big window with a beautiful cardinal visiting and their office Mascot Minnie Pearl to greet me and say hello!
