But if your computer has a mind of its own, expensive "fixes" that often don't work (or that you don't understand) can be a non-starter. I am writing to introduce Abhishek Goel, my 'secret weapon' in dealing with computer issues. I told a friend on the UCLA faculty that I was having computer problems and she immediately gave me Abhishek's phone number. The rest is history. He responded right away, he was able to come to my office and look at the problem and HE FIXED IT! On the spot. And explained what he had done. And his bill was a bargain, compared to various fix-it guys I have used. AND, unlike me, he's always in a good mood. He came out the next morning to my home, stayed to fix my MacBook, then took a look at my iMac desktop to assure that it was working properly. Discovered that both my computers needed cleanup.
