I am extremely disappointed. I wanted to pawn something today, which didn't require much money, and he told me to give him more gold. I was going to give him my gun, but he said he didn't want to pawn any more guns because they don't sell there. He wouldn't even look at my gun, which had already been pawned there before. He told me everything in a very unprofessional way, with an attitude that is not appropriate for treating a customer. In the end, I told him I only wanted to pawn the gold and asked him to give me the $100 he was offering because I didn't like his attitude. He threw the chain back at me and told me not to worry, insulting me as he walked away. I am going to take further action. Everyone is going to know about this pawnshop for its rudeness and lack of respect. I am still paying for a layaway that I will cancel soon so I never set foot in this shitty place again! read more

I am surprised this place is still in business. Picture it: fort myers 2004. I had just moved there and needed a little cash to get my son into daycare until I got my first paycheck. I took a necklace, a ring and a bracelet and put them in pawn. Three weeks later I went back, paid and picked up my jewelry. I should have checked it better but my 4 year old was all over the place and I was trying to get out of there before he broke something. I get home and my bracelet was not there. I went back and they acted like they gave me everything back. I begged them to look again but of course they couldn't find my bracelet. I was crying as I left because my grandmother had just passed away and she had left me that bracelet. I still think about it to this day and I am still sad over their dishonesty and lack of compassion. I know my bracelet was probably melted down years ago but I'll never forget their faces when I left crying. They were smiling. read more

This Pawn shop was listing a Samsung monitor (USED) i saw on craigslist. Called to confirm and i mentioned the price. The price was $149 for the used monitor, when brand new they are also $149 and he said they sell for over $250 new. Which is a lie, then he asked me to call back in 15 minutes and when i did they said they're not selling it because they need it for "security cameras" LOL this place sucks 0 stars read more

Rip offs.. it's just this location. Never had any issues buying or selling anything at any other of Larry's pawns or estates. The manager of this location thinks he's on a street corner in Newyork or something.. went to them with a chain and then went to same franchise in ft Myers got offered 300 dollars more. Then another occasion went to buy some fishing gear, they charged me more than the ticket price then the reel had issues brought it back n they said it's the managers policy no returns on fishing equipment, I asked to speak to the manager n this wanna be thug tried to give me a bunch of crap about it because he was having a bad day... go somewhere else this idiot is a hack n you'll be treated better any where else. read more

Entered the store with my wife and son and male employee immediately ran to the back and did not bother to help us but as soon as a white male entered they where more than happy to help them. Obviously yelp is biased towards this shop. I entered an honest review as a customer and it was relegated to a Backpage of reviews that yelp has decided are not relevant. I did not receive an email from yelp detailing why my review was not posted. Furthermore there is no contact information to contact yelp you ask why a review was declined. This is a load of BS! I will be deleting the yelp app and in the future will disregard yelp reviews for retailers I am considering using. Funny how in their review guidelines the very first item is "Inappropriate Content" and one of the reviewer's that reviewed this pawnshop used what what I would consider very inappropriate language and references. I have a smart phone to sell in perfect condition, whoever just answered the phone was rude & lost out on a potential buy, that would have turned a nice profit for them. I can call any other pawn store in town to inquire if they will buy a smart device by giving them the condition of the phone, model, storage capacity, carrier etc and they will look up the phone online and quote me a price based on the going rate. I actually did call 2 other pawn stores before calling Larry's, one told me they don't buy phones at all, the other gave me a lowball price, the point is they still told me OVER THE PHONE so I don't waste my expensive gas coming all the way down there ,which I told him. He says " i can't tell you if we would buy something from you over the phone", I did explain to him other pawn stores were able to tell me, he then makes a rude comparison "if I tell you I want to sell you a car over the phone, you would want to see it first." Either you are buying smart phones or you' re not, it's a simple question, just like I can I can tell if I am buying cars right now or not, and if I am, I will ask some questions about the car and will buy yours based on if what you told me beforehand was all true, when I see it in person. I am telling you it's in great condition, it's unlocked and the model / storage capacity you can tell me if you want to buy it and for such and such amount, then when I come down in person and you verify everything, we then conduct business. He seemed very lazy, didn't want to do any research on his end online about the phone. Obviously they care more about selling , not buying anything people have to sell. This is why pawn stores are becoming obsolete, everyone shops online nowadays for most everything. You would think they would do everything they can to try hold on to their irrelevant businesses a little while longer. I will post it on eBay, it will take longer to get the money, but I will definitely get more for it online than what Larry's would have paid anyways had I did come down there and waste my time. Negative feedback for a business can make or break them, it gives consumers the power, businesses use to be able to treat us however they liked, thank God for the internet so we can get the word out about rude establishments, poor service and poor quality products.
