I just recently bought a Taurus GX4 from here paid $450 for it beautiful gun , but defective I called and spoke with joe he told me to bring the gun back I thought they would rectify the situation but they didn't I spoke with the so called gun expert from there Nigel and he said I had to send the gun back to Taurus why should I have to do that I didn't buy the gun from Taurus , I bought it from capital pawn !!!! so now I have to take a loss on the gun loss on 450!! The owner is very rude to customers and outright dismissive. You're in a town where the population mainly consists of senior citizens so you should learn how to treat people better; people that are trying to sell their items may not understand why you're not interested; or if there's an issue with something they may not initially understand what's going on and may need to be explained to what the issue is like a human. This guy acts like the customers are stupid as if they should understand everything that goes on with the pawn business and it's operations. Customers don't work there and you can learn a thing or two from your employees who take the time to explain and treat people as human beings. You should be ashamed of yourself. Please do not give this place your business at all costs. If you have to drive an hour to another pawn shop it is well worth it than giving good for nothing individuals like this your business. Pay it forward and put this guy out of business. He does not deserve to profit in this town. Regardless I'm sure the way he treats people is reflected in his personal life and I'm 100% sure people that know him personally can't stand him. This pawn shop is a joke, appraisals on items you bring in are downright a spit in your face. Brought in some gold for an appraisal and they offered me not even a quarter of what I paid for. I even brought some electronics that are well valued close to 2,000 and only got offered 200 dollars. In there defense they have to make money but that is a joke. They even sell defective items and won't warranty anything so your basically at a loss when buying stuff from this place. Fuck this pawnshop the guys down the street at Cape Pawn have way better customer service and actually offer you reasonable prices. You'd see why they have 5 stars and capital pawn doesn't. I bought a very expensive engagement ring and my jeweler who is a certified gemologist told me the Stone was flawed. When purchased they never explained the non returnable policy. When I brought it back the manager was very defensive and told me he would not refund me. Upon leaving the store they offered to find me another ring which they did and I was told that this ring was vs clarity but more money again after taking to my jeweler this was not true so now I have paid 9000$ for a ring worth 5000$ I previously shopped here and purchased something every week or two now I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! Lowballing is a dirty practice Pawn Shops are notorious for and this place actually uses the lowest bids they can find on eBay auctions that closed for the same item you are wanting to sell. Example, So if only two people were bidding on an eBay auction for the same item online and the bids never got higher than 5.00 that's what they would offer you. I brought in an expensive electronic item , which brand new was worth 500.00, it was used but in mint condition, i wanted at least 80-100.00, i saw that's what my item was going for on eBay in my own research before I went to the pawn shop. I needed the money quickly, for my doctors co pays, but they "offered" me a measly 15.00 simply because the auction they scoured eBay to find for a price quote closed at 15.00 for the same item and they claim that's what they go by. I even showed them on their computer that the same item was going for 70.00-80.00 on other auctions on eBay, and the auctions were still open, so it would go for even higher at the time of the auctions close, they didn't care, they find the lowest closed bid imaginable and offer you that amount. It's embarrassing enough to go into a pawn shop of lost dreams and be forced to sell your valuables out of necessity but to be taken advantage of in such an obvious manner is disgusting.
