The manager and store clerks were all so sweet! I brought my pup there while I was shopping and they all gave her pets and the manager even gave her a treat! She was so welcomed there. On top of that, I had a great time, too! The store was fully stocked with Christmas inventory and I was there for it! There are so many beautiful things to choose from. Rude staff!!!! Especially the ladies at the fabric cutting station they are always rude and not helpful at all. Unfortunately this is the hobby lobby close to me without driving another hour. I'm there every week because I'm a crafter in general and their staff is rude. The selection of fabric is also very poor compared to Joann's plus they run out and don't replace it for months. When you thinking doing art and crafts, I often think about getting my supplies at Michaels, Joanne and AC Moore. Well, we have a Hobby Lobby store in Fort Myers. We've used this store many times but I have mixed feeling about this store. First, they have a section of artificial flowers that run over several isles. They have the standard selection and nothing speculator. Nearby is a fabrics section that you can make dress with. There are many wall ornament, baskets, storage unit, paintings, yarn & needle arts and knickknack. They don't have ton of furniture but have something like dressers, small coffee tables, book cases, chairs, etc. Of course, they have a seasonal section with many holiday items during Christmas, Easter, Independence Day, and other holiday! I come here primary for art and craft supplies and picture frames. You can bring your art work and they can custom framed for you. The matting and framing are good at this store! Why the mixed feeling? Hobby Lobby was involved in a law suit in 2014 to denial contraceptive devices to their female employees in their health insurance. They believed that some form of birth control, like some emergency contraceptive pills and Intrauterine devices constituted an abortion. Yes, all Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday. So I love Hobby Lobby and it's because they have great merchandise, prices .To those who feel conflicted, I have seen the other side. Coming from Tucson, we had a CFO of a software company go to a Chick Fil A drive thru, and actually berate a high school girl for working , there because he did not like their religious beliefs . A grown man , ranted at a high school girl who was just trying to earn money at an after school job and thought it was okay. And he filmed and uploaded it . The community rallied around the restaurant and waited hours for food and it was the biggest day the restaurant ever had , running out of food, even making national news. We all can pick and choose where we shop and this is a really nice store. read more

I visited the store for the first time when I was down on vacation visiting family this past week. My mom and I went in there to get some yarn to make a special blanket we only needed one left and so we asked the manager walking by if she knew where some extra were. she's like we're all out! Another associate non manager over heard and said I think there's some in the top basket. Why the manager didn't know what was going on in her own store is beyond me. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! 6/2/18 came into the store at approximately 4:30 pm. Got a bunch of decor stuff for my new home since the have 50% OFF of select items. I had about $150 bucks worth of stuff. Came to pay and they said that what I had picked out wasn't on clearance. I asked to speak to the manager on duty who said I was wrong and the items I had picked out were regular price. I disagreed and showed him the sign indicated otherwise. He said I just picked out the ONLY item from that area that wasn't marked down. I then told him he should change his signs because they are very misleading. I would have taken it home ONLY if he wasn't such a RUDE MAN. Told me he's not so cheap so he'll give it to me at the discount price because he didn't want to keep taking to me. I simple left my cart and told him not to worry that I'm planning on taking this to their customer service department which I hope they do take me seriously. Not what I was planning on as my relaxing Saturday. This store never has the right customer experience, it's just filled with bitter employees who think they are making you a favor by answering a simple question. Really don't know how a retail store this big doesn't provide better customer service! Won't be coming to this store ever again. I'll stick with Michael's! Every Hobby Lobby I have ever been to has been full of cranky rude people. This one was no different. I had decided to boycott the store because of their religious affiliations, but my aunt wanted to go. We encountered 4 different sales people, all of which were rude and nasty. The store closed at 8 which we were unaware of, and they made sure to tell us to get out. Not in those exact words, but you could tell they were pissed that we were still in the store. When we tried to make light of the situation and joke with them about closing so early, they didn't laugh, didn't blink, didn't even respond. They were cold and callous. read more

I was in The hobby lobby in fort Myers six Mile Cypress. I was there to return some fabric. From the first moment I stepped into the store and try to get assistance I was treated rudely and sent it to the fabric department. Explain the situation and again was treated with hostility. I chose all the fabrics and asked for them to be cut and in the meantime I was walking around the store. I I'm disabled and use a walking stick I was unable to enter the aisles with my car because they were full of boxes and stuff at one time nearly pushed in the aisle because they're trying to get through with stocking stuff. I tripped over items in the aisle that I needed to be in and overall when I went to the register to return the items again I was treated with hostility. The whole situation took about 2 hours for me to get in and out and change the fabric which in the end so I decided to take a full refund I'll leave the store. The whole experience was disgusting as I shop there one to three times a week. That day was an offer experience and I don't think I'll ever show up there again because the store was inoppersble and I was unable to get any assistance just concerned about filling the shelves walking the aisles was impossible and the staff seemed very uptight. The manager came to the register when I was checking out and apologize but that wasn't good enough this store is just not a very good happy store and they've lost my service I will never go back to that hobby lobby because of the way I was treated and I nearly fell and with my disability that's all I need. I hope this helps all disabled persons going to the store because beware it's pretty hard to get around when they're trying to stop doing the day when there are consumers. I like Hobby Lobby for the most part. I've been to many different stores from South Florida to Central Louisiana. During my last visit I wasn't really impressed with the staff. I came in about an hour before closing and they seemed more interested in hurrying me up to get me out the door rather than helping me. I've worked in retail for many years, and specifically a craft store, so I understand closing routines, but you still need to keep a high standard of customer service. read more

Hobby lobby, is great, staff is great, I drowe a long way hoping to find an item advertised on sale, but with no luck. Of course I found plenty of other items I wanted. At check out, I was able to use a 40% coupon I found on my phone, on one of my items. As I was checking out, the sales clerk as if I had found everything I was looking for? I showed her a photo of what I wanted. She then said they could give me a rain check for the item, and I would get the sale price, and they would call me when it came in. I was so happy, as I live 40 minutes away. I don't know how you can get any kinder than that. I received my call, showed them my rain check, and purchased my shelf. Thanks so much! I love the store and have been one of there most faithful shoppers since they came to New Jersey about 5 years now. BUT, this one individual in the fabric department here in Fort Myers on 6 Mile Cypress was dreadful. What a disgusting, lazy, miserable and impolite hag. She went out of her way to NOT cut my fabric because it was purchased in there NJ store and not in this store even after I got the approval from the manager Elaine well in advance. Even when another manager came over to find out what the commotion was this particular nasty individual insisted that she only cuts in "yards" and fabric from THAT store location only. She insisted that my fabric is not from there store, no kidding, captain obvious. Aren't all H.L's one of the same? She is a disgrace and because I do like the variety of things to purchase there I will not disclose her name. I won't have to, you will easily pick her out. She heads the "MISERABLE WOMAN'S CLUB". I WILL continue to shop all the H. L's but will get my fabrics elsewhere. read more

I went to the new North port store last Sat..My friend and I spent almost $200. and were looking forward to our next visit. Then I hear about Hobby Lobby's lawsuit attempting to deny women access to some forms of birth control. I won't be going back to Hobby Lobby until they drop this lawsuit, and I hope no one else will either. This store has excellent quality items, and many that cannot be found in their local stores. The customer service is friendly and helpful. The yarn selection is extensive and they carry cotton, silk, bamboo, acrylic, baby yarns to chunky. This is the only local store that I can find a soft, durable cotton yarn. The interior decorating department is beautiful and tasteful. This is my first stop for fabrics and beads, and the art department carries high quality merchandise. read more

I visit Hobby Lobby at least once a week. As such a frequent shopper, I know how their sales work and to go attention to the signs on each rack. I also wait for items to go on sale before purchasing because I know they will soon be on sale. With that said, I was just there to purchase items for fall and Christmas crafts. According their current ad fall and Christmas ribbon 40% off. I grabbed 4 spoils from an end cap that also had the 40% off sign ON THE EXACT SHELF FROM WHERE THE RIBBON I WAS PURCHASING WAS PLACED. I filled my cart with over $100 worth of other items. When I got to the cashier she did not ring those in correctly and I told her they were 40% off. She responded "probably not this week". I told her that there was a sign on the shelf I got them from. She called over who I assumed to be a manager. Emily curtly told me it was only Christmas ones on the top shelf. I said "great- that's the shelf I got those from". (Solid white btw). She argued some more and pretended to go check. I watched her and she went no where near the correct area and came back and said- no they aren't on that shelf. BAD BUSINESS Hobby Lobby. Never lie to a customer.
