Traded us a tractor with mower that he advertised to us and described as identical to a different one he actually posted a picture of with the exception of a pretty paint job. Turns out the mower on the one he traded us is missing several key parts to attach it to the tractor. Thus the tractor is useless for what we were going to use it for. We traded for a $2000 dump truck. He claimed he was representing someone else whose name was Cliff S. Sheldon kept making promises to deliver the missing parts and was continually a no show. Every phone call was an excuse. He even started blaming the Cliff guy. Needless to say here it is 2 months later and we still do not have the missing parts nor the tractor chains that were promised. Wish we would have looked up other ratings on his FB pages. Quite a few unhappy customers. Buyers and Sellers beware.

He was working on another car when I arrived but would be finished in 20-30mins. Sure enough he got me in the bay in 30 min. Found the a nail that was the problem, fixed it, and had it out of the bay 15min or less. He charged what seemed to be too little but said that was the usual rate. Fred couldn't have been any nicer. Obviously, not anyone picked up the phone on a Sunday afternoon, except for the Swan's Garage. The incredibly kind Mr. Fred Swan who happened to be at the shop, initially offered to come and take a look at my car the next morning, and when he found out that I have AAA membership so he instructed me to have the car towed to his shop right away. First thing Monday morning he ran a diagnostic and determined that my car need a new starter but he does not carry starters for a foreign car. He then called around to see if other shops carry the part before he called me, explained the situation, and suggested several options for me. In addition, he helped to call the closest dealership, provided me with contact information to local towing companies. When I finally arrived at his garage, I found that his lot was full of cars waiting for repairs. I was deeply moved by his genuine kind-heartedness to assist a traveler from another state, understanding the urgency of my situation, gave me priority as I needed to leave PA as soon as I could to catch a flight. All the work he did for me, he did not take advantage of my situation and would not charge a dime. He is a true Good Samaritan!
