I'll start off by saying that my dad and I have been visiting Larry's for a couple of years. So when it came time to buy a New to me Harley we decided to go to them. When I decided to buy a 2002 Sportster that's when things got more than a little weird. The 14 or 15 year old put in charge of cleaning my bike walked up to me and said the bike was too hot to clean and was trying to get out of cleaning it. Cheryl apologized for the inconvenience and had it washed while we waited a few hours for it to happen. We leave with the bike. A few days later I notice it being sluggish and seemed to misfire. This is my first bike so i wasn't sure what it could be, only that i knew something wasn't right. I Immediately called Larry's to inform them that there must be an issue with it. I was informed by someone working there that the head mechanic would get ahold of me to talk about it. When i was contacted I tried explaining the issue to him. Before I could finish what I was saying I was told I didn't know what I was talking about and that it was fine and was put through the shop. So I let it go for a couple more days until the bike was definitely having a major issue. It was misfiring, back firing, and dying on the side of the road. I then talked to Wesley whom said he would talk to the shop and have someone call me. Well that day never came. Its now 10 months later and now has been too two HD shops to figure out the issue and have spent $600 at the last shop before today dropping it off at Arkport HD which who knows what it'll end up costing not to mention not being able to ride it no more than 100 miles and paying 4200 for a pile of metal before tax and tags. I LOVE my bike. But it's just a pile of metal at another shop that's going to continue to drain my pocket. Moral of the story DO NOT BUY HERE!!! Especially if you're a younger gal or guy, they will walk all over you with a pretty smile and then unleash their shop hounds to Harass you, blame you, and never fix the issue. I've had to bite my tongue to hold back tears with what this purchase has done to me financially and spiritually. I cannot believe they can still operate as a HD Franchise and treat people the way they do. Not even worth the one star it takes too make this review.

I bought my first motorcycle here in 1981. I have purchased 7 motorcycles, the last a 2018 Goldwing. They have done all the maintenance on it and installed more than $3500 in accessories. I rode the 40 minutes to the dealership on Friday to have someone look at my back tire (which they sold and installed). It was cupped badly so I wanted to also make an appointment to have it fixed. I had never seen one cup that badly, so I wanted to know if it was unusual and if it was safe to ride. I also wanted to know if it made sense to replace both while it was in the shop. Rather than ask the service guy (who I could see working) to take 2 minutes to walk over and take look at the tire, that I bought from them, he insisted on making an appointment and bringing me back a second time. I pressed the issue, I told him I live near The Cycle Barn, so I rode by 2 other motorcycle dealers to bring my bike to him. His attitude was, "make an appointment or get lost." The service guy I trusted is no longer there and every face has changed. I have no reason to trust they even know what they are doing, and my severely cupped back tire makes me question that fact even more. Now, with what I consider a terrible lack of customer care or service, and the attitude from the guy at the counter... I can ride to Bloomsburg or State College just as easy. I would encourage you to do the same.

They are scammers and don't care at all about whether or not your bike actually runs before sending you out the door, and will come up with the most ridiculous excuses on top of it. After spending 11.5 hours (allegedly) and $900, we still ended up with a bike that didn't run more than 10 minutes at a time. The supposedly brand new battery didn't hold a charge after running for over an hour. After FINALLY getting it back to Rochester and taking it apart myself, I'm even more sure these guys didn't even open this bike up. The gasket is still the original one on there from the 70's, which is listed on the invoice as "things they fixed". The invoice quotes an hour to change the oil. It doesn't even take an hour for me to change the oil in my car and I'm not a "professional" mechanic, let alone a bike a fraction of the size and volume. They clearly have no clue how to do anything with the fuel line because there was visible air and particles in it from the get go until I flushed it myself. Their excuse? I needed to FLUSH MY OWN FUEL TANK A COUPLE TIMES after they put tank liner in it. They did absolutely none of the work, just sprayed some starter fluid into the exhaust, kicked it up, and threw it out the door. On top of that, despite calling several times looking for a refund, they tell me that it's because my bike is old and it sat for the winter and they wouldn't consider a refund because "the work had been done." Not that they would actually ask the mechanic. They'll just look at what was quoted on the computer and call it. Don't waste your time on these small town, inexperienced, con artists. They have no accountability and can only speak to "what the invoice says in front of them." They make excuse after excuse, blaming their failings on employees they already fired. And if you take the time to explore their collection of antique and vintage bikes upstairs, do so with the knowledge that they acquired those bikes by overcharging their client so much that they couldn't afford to fix it. Or they flat out lied to them and told them that their bikes were "beyond fixable because they're old."
