Our new family. We stayed here for six evenings and felt so welcomed. This small boutique hotel was perfectly located for our adventure-filled, perfect days in CDMX. They arranged dinner reservations, experiences and private driver and car services each day. Turn-down service every evening at any time with beautiful linens and bath accoutrements. They truly made us feel like family. The breakfasts are incredible and we enjoyed every moment here. This makes my top ten list for destinations, service and luxury. An understated secret...

Our stay in Las Alcobas was, for the most part, a wonderful experience. The amenities of this hotel are beyond reproach. Every little detail has been carefully thought of and considered, from the drinks we got upon arrival to the automated lighting. My favorite part of the hotel was the whirlpool bath and the custom locally handcrafted soaps that you can choose from. I also highly recommend the Aurora Spa - it is by far one of the best I've ever been to. The only thing I wish I had known in advance was how small of a hotel it was. We had some friends who wanted to come visit and the hotel staff gave us a hard time about it. Had we been at a larger venue, they wouldn't have even known. They also didn't have a pool, which would've been nice given how hot it was.

First time staying at this hotel while on business trip with a side of museum visits (Soumaya and Anthropology). This is the best hotel I've stayed at in CDMX on approximately 30+ trips here. This includes the W (nope), Westin (uh-uh), Sheraton (chaos, if there's a demonstration - and there usually is one ongoing), even the St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott - all too stuffy. Santiago from NJ, by way of the NYU Shanghai campus, was excellent and almost everyone here speaks English perfectly. I felt like I was in NYC, except that the service was better and the staff was much more accommodating. Breakfast was included, nothing spectacular, but everything was solid, good coffee, fresh fruit, fresh pastries, good jams and yogurt. Perfect, light start to the day. The room was not big, but well laid out with every amenity, refrigerator, beverages, Nespresso machine, bottled water and a selection of assorted snacks - all complimentary (except alcohol, unnecessary with all the good bars nearby). The gym was literally situated in a single hotel room on the lower floor. It was tiny, but fully equipped for a one-person, HIIT session. The single issue was the incessant bass drone from the bar nearby. Earplugs didn't work because it wasn't possible to mask the low Hz frequency effectively. Every major museum was about a 25 minute stroll through scenic neighborhoods to get to. Some of the best restaurants (Nobu, Sylvestre) were around the corner. All in all this is probably the best place to stay in CDMX. If not for the bass from the bar, which was totally not the hotel's fault, this was probably the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in Mexico (no children or pets, I think, but not sure). No drunk teens shouting in the hallways - idyllic. About $500-$700/night depending on date. Totally worth it. read more

Well located hotel in the heart of Polanco. The location and hard product are nice but didn't blow me away. The hotel has only one elevator that is shared with hotel staff and the sound proofing of the rooms could use a little work. Was my stay relaxing and luxurious? Yes, but it wasn't as seemless as some of its recent accolades may suggest. The central staircase that is accented is definitely a cool central feature and there are some interesting design features in the room but if I am staying in a Marriott in CDMX I will default to the ritz. Service was well trained and friendly. read more

Las Alcobas delivers the best of all worlds--first class, intuitive, personalized guest service in an intimate boutique property, situated in the heart of a thriving, upscale neighborhood with countless dining and shopping opportunities. The team is genuinely warm and friendly, and goes the extra mile to anticipate guests' needs. We were especially impressed with the General Manager, Michael Chiche, Carlos in Reception, and Andres, the Concierge. Everyone we encountered--from Room Service to Culinary to the front door staff, made us feel welcome. Thank you for making these two strangers feel like family! read more

Our first time staying in Mexico City and we choose well!! I was tempted to stay at the Ritz Carlton or one of the other five star but I like a boutique kind of feel. First off, the hotel is stunning! From check in (they arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport - nice Mercedes). My husband is obsessed with Toto bidet toilets and he was thrilled they have these. The breakfast was probably THE BEST hotel breakfast we have ever had and I've been all over the world. Our room was divine, Bvulgari toiletries, scrumptious bedding, comfy pillows.... If you like high end boutique feel hotel, this is your place. Smack dab in the middle of Polanco. read more

While planning our Mexico City trip I knew I wanted to experience various parts of this beautiful city. The first part of the trip I wanted to be close to the museums and the Bosque de Chapultepec, so we focused on finding a place to stay in Polanco. We were comparing various hotels and because I like to try and stick with BonVoy properties Las Alcobas won out. They also had great weekday rates. Everything about Las Alcobas was five stars. It's a boutique property so don't expect an expansive resort. But what it lacks in space it makes up for in service and amenities. From the moment we arrived I knew this hotel was a good choice. We were immediately greeted by a staff of folks opening our car door and assisting with luggage. We were offered water and immediately were assisted with our check-in while our luggage was taken to our room. We opted for a larger King room and were pleasantly surprised with it's amenities, including an AMAZING bathroom! From the airjet bathtub to the car-wash style shower and even the Toto toilet - we stayed fresh! And let's not forget those Bulgari toiletries. We especially appreciated the daily stocked mini-bar which was FREE (minus the alcohol). This included snacks, candies, sodas, juices, and water. Having access to chilled fresh water daily was a real blessing. Las Alcobas was within walking distances to all the great restaurants - Quintonil, Pujol, and great bars. We felt incredibly safe walking these streets, we even walked the streets late at night and felt super safe. Police were always patrolling, too. I've been singing the praises of this beautiful boutique hotel to anyone that listens and hope that we can return soon. read more

Absolutely the best of service at this hotel. Every single staff member was honestly gracious, helpful beyond any other 5 star hotel we've ever been to. We were there for 3 nights to supplant another hotel. This is a contemporary Polanco hotel, not a quirky Condesa hotel, (which we normally like), but we opted for great AC, king bed, great breakfast, etc. read more
Las Alcobas is a fantastic hotel in every way, from its prime Polanquito location to its ridiculously attentive staff to the super strong showers in its rooms. From the arrival drinks at check in to the unique (and complimentary) snacks in the mini bar to the over the top fabulous Mexican breakfasts (don't miss the fruit salad), you'll definitely not go hungry here, even if you never leave the hotel. Mexico City traffic is a nightmare but parking yourself at Las Alcobas means you can walk to get a well-crafted cocktail or a marvelous meal and skip the cars all together (which will save you a great deal of stress, trust me)! When I asked for an iron they pressed my clothes (at no charge) for me. Talk about remarkable! Las Alcobas is, without a doubt, my top pick for a hotel in Mexico City. read more
Las Alcobas was such a beautiful hotel! It's located in a very snazzy area of Mexico City. The doormen were the sweetest and available at all hours of the day. The front desk agents were great. The rooms are so beautiful and comfortable. The drinks in the restaurant are all I had a chance to try but they were also beautiful and delicious. I can't wait to come back to this hotel. read more

Easily one of the best hotels I've ever been to. The service was impeccable, the location can't be beat, the attention-to-detail was beyond what I've seen at other five star resorts. I have nothing negative to say about our stay, and if we ever find ourselves in Mexico City again we'll most certainly be staying here. 10/10. Blown away. read more

Just got back from a 3 night 4 day stay. The hotel is located in Polanco near plenty of restaurants and cafes that can be reached on foot. Believe the reviews that say how attentive the staff is. They accommodated our every need. We had trouble buying museum tickets to Casa Azul from the States . I reached out to the hotel a few days prior to our trip and they booked the tickets for us. They also organized transfer to the airport for us with an excellent driver. The hotel and room were clean and well maintained . Our trip also included a small but delicious continental breakfast that had fresh juice, coffee , fruit yogurt parfait , and a basket of fresh pastries. . I would recommend this place hands down over any of the big hotel names. Looking forward coming back one day. Thank you to the staff and management for a wonderful stay! read more

Amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Polanco. Alex and his staff are top-notch. Made us feel right at home in the big city. Can't say enough about the food and the service we experienced all week. And it's a Luxury Collection property, so you get your Bonvoy points to boot! Can't wait to get back. read more
I have stayed in a lot of hotels but, weirdly, I think this is my all time favourite (a big claim). It is tranquil, not huge, has great service and staff, remains typically Mexican and the rooms are so luxurious. An extra bonus is the fact that on certain packages you get a free massage with your room - very important for the weary traveller. We received a refreshing local drink (with Guava I think) on arrival and our bags were whisked away and taken care of within a blink of an eye, and after a whole day of traveling to get there, these were very welcome. The rooms are amazing, huge full-length windows, a ginormous bed and a room control system that included automated lighting, curtains, atmosphere buttons and other things to play round with...so I did, lot, just for the hell of it. The bath as standard is also a jacuzzi with different coloured lightings options and jet strength. This made up for the fact there was no sauna or pool at the hotel and was a perfect way to help get over the jetlag. We had lots of the meetings to conduct over the few days we were there and I think it would be good to know that there are 2 rooms you can book on the same floor as the breakfast room. These are light, characterful and the staff keep you topped up with drinks and snacks. There is a small fee for the room, but well worth it if you want to be out of the way and comfortable. Something that is also well-worth checking out that I found on the last day is the roof terrace. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be a roof terrace but follow the magnificent spiral staircase to the top and make your way out of the glass doors at the top. Walk onto the roof and take in the view. Be careful though, there are no guardrails or any such security measures to stop you falling into the balcony below. Probably not safe for children, but most sober adults should be fine....probably read more

From the entrance the attention and customer service is amazing! The whole staff is super nice and friendly! Hotel and rooms are beautiful, clean and in a super convenient location. 1000% recommended. Definitely going back! read more
NPS = 10! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in regarding hospitality and service! Hands down the place to stay in Mexico City. You start the night off by having approximately 3 associates bringing up your luggage, bringing you a drink of the day, and another associate explaining the amenities. This hotel aims to blow people away and it really does capture that. It is very centrally located around many fine restaurants and stores. At any given moment, the hotel was willing to drop what they were doing to help out be it help connecting to the Internet or getting my shirts pressed for my business meeting. Great job, Las Alcobas. Keep up the fantastic work. read more

Our second stay at Las Alcobas. Terrific small luxurious hotel perfectly located in the heart of Polanco. Staff extremely attentive and helpful. Truly exceptional service. Everyone spoke both Spanish and English (and some even French). Additionally, the staff recommended a guide for trips to the pyramids and the Anthropologia who was excellent. Far and away my favorite hotel in DF! I will continue to return as often as possible. read more

For the rates they charge here, you're better off staying at another Starwood establishment, such as the St. Regis. Starwood promised me that if I stayed 4 nights, I would receive the 4th night free. It clearly stated in my confirmation, "Every 4th Night Free credited at check in." I called Starwood to confirm before I made the booking that I would be credited an amount equal to the 4th night. However, they did not offer this and will not honor it despite what it said on the website promotion (they have since changed this language). I am very disappointed. read more

Location, service and attentiveness! Couldn't be better. The rooms are well appointed, the snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary, valet parking complimentary as well. (Marriott charges $12 US per night) Breakfast comes with the price and it can be ordered as room service or eat at the restaurant and it is really good and menu is not limited. I would stay here again without any hesitation. Nothing negative about this hotel, however please keep in mind that it is a boutique hotel and not with the expansive lobbies and space like the Intercontinental or Marriott, etc. read more

I agree with other reviewers who have said this is one of the best hotels they have stayed in. It seems strange to say that about a tiny hotel in Mexico City, but the attention to detail is extraordinary. From the blue-streaked marble in the bathroom to the zebra-patterned wood of the perfectly finished closets; from the whimsical collection of free Mexican candies and dried fruits/nuts to the welcome note with internet code and highest-quality notecard stationary; from the warm welcome by "butler" Antonio (and the owner!) to the friendly smiles of the doormen; from the ultra modern light and curtain controls to the stunning flower arrangement at the foot of the stairs, this hotel makes you feel pampered and indulged. The price was equivalent to the cost of a good but not exceptional hotel in the USA (about $250 with breakfast included). When the new branch of this hotel opens in the wine country of Northern California, I hope to stay there too. read more

We had been to CDMX before but had never stayed in Polanco. A small boutique, not a unit in a small chain. Our room was super modern (took some time to learn the controls for the lighting, screens, etc.) but very comfortable. Wonderful bed. Not stingy with extras: free wifi, nonalcoholic drinks in the refrigerator, full breakfast menu with lots of choices, Mexican and American. Wonderfully polite, attentive service, including extremely helpful concierges. The room was small but well designed. One small fault: only English tv station was CNN. read more

This is absolutely one of my favorite hotels in the world. They just do everything right! It is not an over-the-top place, more like a peaceful sanctuary in a bustling, ancient city. The location is spot on, the restaurant is the best restaurant in town, and the managers and staff are super nice and thoughtful. This hotel has totally stuck out in my memory as one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, maybe the best!! read more

My new go to hotel for all my Mexico City visits. I am here often for work so finding this hotel is a pleasure. Everything you want in a hotel. Beautiful design, great rooms, awesome location, amazing service and really great restaurant situation. Absolutely under the radar VIP hotel. I have stayed at a handful of the hotels in Polanco and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else now that I have found this lux boutique hotel. read more

I cant say enough about the rooms, food, location in Polanco and service at this boutique hotel. They provided us with cucumber drink on arrival, a lovely room with two queen beds and service of the highest order. We used their guide services and both associated restaurants in addition to the included breakfast. At breakfast the waiters remembered our names, room numbers and what we liked to order. In spite of construction out front the rooms were tranquil. We plan to return here the next time we are in the DF. read more

As a world traveler I have rarely found as beautifully appointed hotel with such efficient and friendly service. We found it by searchng for the safest hotels in Mexico City and, luckily, undoubtedly found of the best. Greeted by smartly dressed associates offering the beverarge of the day they whisked our luggage off to our room and were waiting for us when we got there. We had taken our time to admire the somewhat cozy and beautifully appointed lobby with it's seven story circular staircase that, shot from inside the curve, is a photogrqpher's dream. Our room was good sized with a king bed, sofa and comfortable chair. Closet and storage space were adequate. A workspace coungerprovidedroom for our elecgronic gear enough outlets to keep everything charged. The highlites were the bedside electronic console to control everything in the room including useful and plesant lighting, climate control and window coverings. The Bose home theater system though s little tricky tooperate, was a pleasure. The adjacent restaurant, serving breakfast and all meals was excellent read more

LOVELY hotel. Great staff. Beautiful room. Comfortable, clean. In fact I walked on the two cleaning ladies in my room and saw one of them brushing the threads on the ends of the carpet to make sure they lay straight. so, attention to detail. and this attention was obvious in how they had prepared a welcome card with network pass code, the delicious juice, making life easy by providing lots of free soft drinks in the fridge, etc. Very good location but a bit un-interesting location to me. It is in a fancy area where they have all high end shops like Hermes, Gucci, etc. In that sense it is a bit like high end areas in other major cities of the world. Having said this, walking on the side streets can be real pleasant and you can see some good mid rises with good architecture. I will go back for sure. Thanks Y'all. read more
