We came here on recommendation and sat on the lovely patio while the band played. It was truly so beautiful and relaxing, and our drinks were refreshing as well. I got some special mezcal drink that was sweet. I loved the bread and hummus/spread sampler that came complimentary. It was a lot of food to start with which was nice. We also had the octopus carpaccio to start, which was light and delectable. I got the lamb, and this was so deliciously tender and pull apart for the tortillas that came on the side with beans. The salad we got was also refreshing and a nice big portion. My fiancé got the ribeye tacos which had the best quality meat we had in a taco. We have friends that live in Mexico so when we came to visit the city, they suggested that we all meet at this restaurant and I'm really glad they did first of all. It is a beautiful restaurant very large outdoor patio indoors. They have a very large tequila bottle area large restaurant. The food was delicious. We had a chicken dish (salmon dish, which was just OK. ) We had guacamole meatballs, artichoke soup, Philo dough with mushrooms in it, which was the best thing ever also we had figs made at the table, which was really unique. The bread was outstanding and they gave you some dipping sauces such as hummus and other things also butter etc Service was excellent. This is a very popular breakfast restaurant in one of the upper class neighborhoods in Mexico City. The menu has many of the classic mexican breakfast eggs (eg divorciados, tlapeños, etc) as well as antojitos (sopes, enchiladas, etc). There is unlimited fresh fruit and juices. Sat outside and the covering and umbrellas provided great coverage from the hot heat. They had live music to provide a nice atmosphere. The coat racks for your jacket and purse is a wonderful touch for Mexico. I had the enchiladas and they were delicious. I am not a long enchilada fan and this is one of the best enchiladas I have ever had. The sauce was tasty and the black beans provided extra protein and fiber. One of many reasons that I love travelling Mexico is the amazing food. And Saks has the distinction of being THE best breakfast place that I've ever been to. Sitting in posh enclave of Polanco, this great restaurant has been my breakfast spot almost every time that I've travelled to Mexico City. On one occasion, I ordered the poached eggs, which were served over ham, toast, and topped with hollandaise sauce. They served me several different breads and pastries, which had their distinct but decent tastes. The mangoes were very flavorful, probably the most delicious that I've ever tasted. Their coffee is great, but FYI the cappuccinos here only come with one shot of espresso. So if you're a caffeine junky like me, then ask them for an extra shot (or two) or espresso in your cappuccino. My girlfriend ordered scrambled eggs and ham, and some potatoes on the side. She was happy with her order. On other occasions, I've come here for lunch. The last time I came here, I had filet mignon with a side of potato puree. My choice of drinks was the same as I always order. My girlfriend had grilled chicken breast and white rice. Simple but good. The customer service here is great. The place can get pretty packed on the weekend, so be sure to get here early. It is not too packed on weekday mornings. The other patrons are decent locals from Polanco. There were no bad vibes here. If you're looking for a great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, then this is a great option in Polanco. read more

Outstanding dining experience, excellent welcoming ambiance. Live musicians singing, the patio creates such a lovely romantic vibe. Stopped by here after the museum because it was close in walking distance and the reviews were good. Also it started to rain, and they welcomed us with open arms. They have a fantastic tequila and mezcal selection. We spent over two hours there, taking our time dining and drinking and listening to music on our last night in Mexico City.
