Shrimp taco, rice and beans. My boyfriend got the trio of tacos. They were bland. Pork was decent.

Ordered the shrimp tacos and they came soaked in pineapple syrup with chunks of pineapple. My fiance got the trio of tacos. The said the pork was good but the other two were super bland. Rice and beans were very bland. We won't be back.

The Scarlet Vetter says....so....where to go on a Friday night at 6 pm with no reservations when you are seeking great ethnic spicy food? Think no more, Las Brasas in East Aurora fits the bill. We had no wait, our drink orders were taken promptly and delicious tortilla chips and homemade slightly spicy salsa put right on the table. I ordered a giant fresh jalapeño margarita! Yum and HUGE. The food was authentic, came out quickly (20 minutes) and was still hot despite a busy kitchen. The parking needs a special note. For those from East Aurora it will come as no surprise, but the parking is behind the restaurant and you actually need to pass the restaurant on your left and turn down the next street then turn left into the second parking lot entrance (Tim Horton's driveway is first). The best entrance to the restaurant is in back right off this parking lot. The menu is very expansive .....something for everyone!!! The decor and ambiance is quite nice too. Very clean with nice booths and beautiful tables. The booths are very private as there are dividers that go almost to the cieling so you are definately getting a "private table" vibe in a booth. Go and bring a sense of culinary adventure and your appetite! You will not be sorry.

If you come here to eat, prepare to be here for a long time. Order the pitcher of margs. In fact, if you are doing this experience right, you order the pitcher, because you're probably going to be finishing it before your food comes. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday right before 6pm. We had to wait around 10 minutes at the door, and there was a line. We were seated, ordered our drinks, got our chips and salsa, which is my favorite part. My boyfriend got salsa on his shirt and we didn't have napkins or anything to clean it up. He used his mask. That meant we couldn't go out for a nightcap. I ordered a jalapeno margarita and a water. I got my water mid-food. So the marg was delightful, but I would have liked the water to accompany my drink. Earlier that day, we had watched a show on Michelada's and my boyfriend wanted one. Unfortunately, they don't serve them here, so he had Mexican beer. I ordered the shrimp tacos, which I really liked. They have corn tortillas, you just have to ask. My boyfriend had a chicken dish, and he enjoyed it as well. The service was fine. It was just very slow paced. So if you are half way through a beer, order another one, so hopefully you get one for your meal. Not my favorite Mexican place, but it is fine for East Aurora. I'd rather go up to the north towns for Mexican.

Overall I would rate this a 3.5, in lieu of that being an option I rated them a 4 as to not overly ding them. I've never had bad food here, but I've also never had food I'm in a rush to have other people try. Some meals have been better than others, and I think consistency may be an area for them to work on. The food is served in gracious portions and I often find myself bringing home a heavy left over container of food I couldn't finish. I will also mention that I found my margaritas the last few times to be on the plainer side. Note- I'm not one of those people who needs to taste the alcohol and get punched in the face by it, but there does seem to be a heavy amount of ice lately leaving the remaining space for liquid limited.

The service wasn't that great. No real check-backs and she seemed to be in a hurry to go somewhere else, even though there was only 1-2 other tables occupied. The food did arrive quickly though. As with most Mexican restaurants, each table receives chips and salsa. The lunch menu was very extensive and the prices were reasonable. I found the kids menu to be the same way. The kids taco salad was a smaller version of an adult taco salad in a deep fried shell. It came with your choice of shredded chicken or ground beef, guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese, and lettuce and tomato of course. We also ordered both the kids enchiladas and burritos; however, there seemed to be no real difference. Both were just meat rolled up in a shell and covered in a cheese sauce. I wanted to ask what the difference between the two was supposed to be, but our server wasn't around. All the kids dishes were good portion sizes. Overall, it satisfied our craving for a quick lunch, but the food and service were lacking in quality.

It is chicken soaked in chorizo crust oil leaving a pretty salty, harsh aftertaste of burned sausage
Mark S.

Hello, reporting from my bathroom, I'm Mark. Tonight 12/4, was our fourth time ordering out from Las Brasas and possibly our last. My chorizo chicken burrito was more chicken covered in old chorizo trimming thick in oil. It was unpleasantly salty and a grease hazard on the inside. The aftertaste was that of a badly burned chorizo chicken but those don't exist. My wife's platter was a pool of sour cream, refried beans and rice that had so much water that it became a soup. A gross americano mexican soup. See, this is NOT how Mexicano food is supposed to look or taste. This was rushed preparation by untrained line cooks. When I walked in for the pickup I noticed 5-6 bags of food on a table. None of the receipts had names and everyone's Covid hands were fumbling around the food as we all tried to read the receipts to determine whose food was whose. That's a bad sign, fellas. This often means a Bar Rescue is desperately needed. But John Taffard would kick someone's ass at this American Mess Up. Call the troops. I'm still in the bathroom. Oh, and our toddler saw the orange rice and cried. "I want Chipotle" she screamed. "I'm not driving out to Chipotle, honey, so what do you want?" "Cheese pizza," our cute little ballerina said after being exposed to orange rice and a soggy, stretchy tortilla with some orange processed cheese. I would just avoid this place, you fat o'possum you. Off with their heads!

Outstanding! The chorizo dip appetizer is delicious, everything we ordered was fantastic and fast! The mojito's are pretty tasty also!!! Great Birthday dinner

2 burritos with no sauce (would have come with red)

Enjoyed dinner here last weekend while eating outside on the patio. I was glad they had an outdoor option because I'm not comfortable enough being inside yet because of covid. It was a bonus that the jumbo daiquiri was the same price as the regular and probably eased my nerves a bit too! The portions here are huge and prices are good but I did not love the seasoning of the meat (I had 1 chicken burrito and 1 beef burrito). The rice though was the best I've ever had and the queso was delicious. Oh and the loaded fries were amazing because they came with queso on them. Another thing that could've been better was that our appetizers came out as the same time as our dinner so it was a lot (too much) of food at once. Overall though I would like to visit again if I'm in the area

Classic margarita with blue salt!

Decided to try this place for dinner with two friends. We were greeted right away, but the hostess did try to sit us at a clearly dirty booth, so she had us wait while she wiped it all down. Our server stopped over right away with chips and salsa and took our drink orders, margarita, Modelo draft and Modelo bottle of beer. For our meals we ordered the Burrito Bamba, El Fogon Burrito and the the Burrito Deluxe with a side of beans. We did need to flag down our server for another round of drinks and more chips and salsa and the food seemed to take a little longer than I thought it should even though it wasn't overly busy. The food was hot on hot plates though once it did come out. One of us had asked for rice instead of beans, and another double beans, no rice, but because our server didn't write anything down, the person who ordered double beans did not get that. The burritos were all very tasty and two were huge, enough for a second meal! The sour cream "salad" that came with them was a little strange, but made for more of an addition to the burritos than an actual salad. Our server never came to check on us after the food was delivered by someone else. It wasn't until we were done that she finally came over to ask if we needed boxes or anything else. The food was good, the service was lacking, but I would come back to try again.

First time dining in, have gotten take out many times. Love love love it! Highly recommend the quesadillas, and the jumbo burrito which has chicken and beans in it with a cheese sauce. BF got the fajita nachos with chicken also very good, they had the perfect amount of stuff on them and were seasoned perfectly.

Love this place!!! Can't say enough good things. Servers are friendly and attentive. Drinks are well priced. Menu has something for everyone and the food is fantastic. We have never had a bad meal here, and if you aren't dining in yet Mexican makes great takeout !!!

It's hard to find authentic now-a-days, but even worse it's hard to find just plain old consistency; but after three visits here, it's been simply really good each time. Service is a little too laid back/slow, but as long as we have unlimited chips and salsa, conversations come easy, right?! If you truly want a bang for your buck meal, come here! They have a WHOLE page dedicated to lunch deals (ends at 3pm every day), and it's all such a steal! $10 for the biggest burrito ever filled with three different meats?! Score. Seriously though, go here, it's worth it.

One thing we don't talk enough about is that East Aurora is incredibly walkable. The intersection of Elm street and Oakwood is like NYC Times Square. The place is bustling. The parking is horrendous, and yet they all come. Before we set out on our journey, we spent a few minutes ordering online. It took our large group 10 minutes to walk down to Left Coast Taco, and our food was ready as we walked in the front door. There were plenty seats available outside in the sun on this very hot day, so we chose to walk back to our house two blocks away. The interior featured a very busy bar, as well as a few tables, all of which were filled with hungry patrons. By the time we got home to our pool-side cabanas, we were sufficiently starving and ready to consume all that we had bought. I had the birria taco on a crispy corn taco shell. Very flavorful with a tastydipping sauce. Very delicious, and I would definitely order that again. Let me just say the burritos were enormous. If you think, in terms of the size of a loaf of bread, that's how big this thing was. Everyone had a great time and we were certainly enjoyed the Left Coast Taco!

This is really more of a bar that sells food than a restaurant with a liquor license: The guac and chips had no garlic, onion, tomatoes or cilantro (great if you're on a date, I suppose?) and was served in a 2 oz refrigerated container. It felt like a Weight Watchers snack than a treat. The elote soup was thick with crema, and spiced with chili, but it was cool on arrival. At 11:30 when we arrived, there was only one other table; by 12:30 the place was packed. Lots of daily specials on the white board near the cash register. Private lot for parking.

You pick either corn or flour shells then choose your filling. I had chicken, shrimp & mahi-mahi, served with rice, refried beans & corn pudding. Didn't finish my platter but everything I had was very good. I was surprised by how good the corn pudding was, almost like a creamy corn bread. Hannah was our very pleasant server. When our bill came it was a nice surprise to see we got Happy Hour prices on the margaritas.... $3 off and since it was taco Tuesday it was another $3 off the tacos. The restaurant is not really big inside but the tables and chairs are the heavy Mexican carved style. Glad we got there a little earlier, the wait was at an hour when we left.

I came here with some family who were visiting from out of town. We wanted somewhere that everyone could eat at since we have omnis, GFs, and vegans. Love that there were options for everyone. However, my partner and I ordered the guacamole azteca which came out with cheese clearly on it and mixed in. I asked the server immediately if it was cheese and he said no, they would never put cheese in it. I had my doubts but thought perhaps it could be finely minced garlic. So we started eating. About halfway through we hit a pocket of unmixed cheese and I stopped eating. Asked the server a second time who denied it was cheese. He claims he also asked in the kitchen and they assured him it wasn't cheese. Well, it was- I got sick that night. My vegan dinner was small- no rice or beans. Just two sad little enchiladas with very little filling. There was a pile of iceburg lettuce next to them with a small scoop of pico. But all in all, the meal is NOT worth the price. The vegan options were the same price or more than the meat options, but came out with half the food on the plate. I felt this meal deserved only 1 star, but the fact that there were vegan options on the menu bumped it up to 2 stars. I will not be going back, I would much rather eat elsewhere in a more quiet atmosphere where the servers and kitchen staff KNOW what they put dairy in.
