Give me one margarita...well, you know how the song goes. Margarita's is a great party atmosphere. I love the interior vibes, and when the warm weather hits the patio is a vibe of its own. My husband and I love sitting at the bar and watching the show of endless birthday singing, and patron sparklers with music. There is always music. You can't be in Margaritas and not smile at least once. The spirit in there is infectious. On this particular date, we got to catch some of the Sabres game, which was a treat and celebrate St. Patrick's weekend drinking margaritas. I got a flight, as always. I'm usually not a frozen marg girl, but when at Margaritas...plus on one flavor you always get a mini rubber duck and they are adorable and you can take it home with you. I like adding it to my collection in my Jeep. The standout marg was the watermelon. It wasn't too sweet. Prickly pear and dragon fruit were a little too sweet for me. Because I was hungry, but not hungry enough, I went with two side orders. I got a tostada and a taco. They were fine. My husband got a burrito and finished his meal. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would but I was pretty disappointed in my experience. It started out when we were told a 20-30 minute wait. We finally went inside and were told another 10 mins after waiting almost 45. So all told it was about an hour wait. I get they're busy but they were not honest about the wait time. Then we were sat in the bar area and it was just very loud and rowdy thanks to what we found out was a rehearsal dinner, seriously it went down about 10 octaves after they left. Our server seemed very frazzled. When we first sat down we were given a smaller dinner menu and told the regular menu was only for drinks. Our server explained they are training a new kitchen. So we go to order and our appetizer came before our drinks. We ordered the guac and it was tasty. When we finally got our margaritas they were good. Then they delivered a queso to the table that wasn't ours, but let us keep it anyway. Then dinner arrived. I ordered shrimp tacos- and chicken came. I had to wait while they made me the correct tacos, according to the bill the server had put them in wrong. I also felt $20 for three taco shells with 3-4 shrimp each was a lot. You can not mix and match taco types. The only toppings provided are a very spicy sauce, cilantro, and onion. I ended up putting the queso on them which was good. Just never had tacos with that limited toppings for the price and no toppings bar. We repeatedly asked for more water during the meal and never got any so my friend had to go up to the bar. We ordered a soft serve margarita (the real reason we were here!) for desert to share as the flavor was chocolate and raspberry twist. It was really good! Very rich and definitely a sweet treat type of drink. The server said the flavors aren't usually like that or as thick as ours was. All this to say I honestly feel they are trying to figure some things out right now. The food itself and drinks were very good. I enjoyed the soft serve margarita and would love to try some other flavors that aren't as rich in the future. Would I go back? Yes but not for a few months. The service piece of this place is not it right now. I wouldn't order the tacos again either as I don't feel the value is there. My friend has been here dozens of times and she said it's never like this. So I hope to give them another try! read more

If you like loud, obnoxious, party-bar atmosphere- then this is the place for you. If you don't, you will probably NOT have a good time. I came here with some family who were visiting from out of town. We wanted somewhere that everyone could eat at since we have omnis, GFs, and vegans. Love that there were options for everyone. However, my partner and I ordered the guacamole azteca which came out with cheese clearly on it and mixed in. I asked the server immediately if it was cheese and he said no, they would never put cheese in it. I had my doubts but thought perhaps it could be finely minced garlic. So we started eating. About halfway through we hit a pocket of unmixed cheese and I stopped eating. Asked the server a second time who denied it was cheese. He claims he also asked in the kitchen and they assured him it wasn't cheese. Well, it was- I got sick that night. My vegan dinner was small- no rice or beans. Just two sad little enchiladas with very little filling. There was a pile of iceburg lettuce next to them with a small scoop of pico. But all in all, the meal is NOT worth the price. The vegan options were the same price or more than the meat options, but came out with half the food on the plate. I felt this meal deserved only 1 star, but the fact that there were vegan options on the menu bumped it up to 2 stars. I will not be going back, I would much rather eat elsewhere in a more quiet atmosphere where the servers and kitchen staff KNOW what they put dairy in. read more

5/5 and I can't wait to come back here! Food: everything was delicious. Some reviewers said no flavor but my chimichangas had all of the flavor and when you pair it with guacamole- omg! Such great flavor. My husband got the bandera burrito and it had every type of meat, pepper, and also tons of flavor! Cheese dip is always necessary and the free chips and salsa are a must! Service: wonderful servers from the wait staff to the food runners. Everyone seems to truly care how you are doing and are really willing to provide good service! Best Mexican fried ice cream I've had in quite a while! Dinner was great, too but the dessert was the highlight for me.

The place is really beautiful. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The whole place was decorated for Halloween and was so festive. However, the music was excessively loud. It wasn't good music either. I ordered Quesabirria, 3 Birria tacos. The presentation was gorgeous. However, the consommé was pure grease. It was inedible. The entire plate was a pile of grease as well. The tacos were drenched in grease. The meat inside was flavorless and dry and overloaded with cheese. It tasted like nothing. The only spice I tasted was the cinnamon or nutmeg or whatever that spice is that's used. There was no salt, pepper or anything else. It was terrible. I use Birria Bombs from the Tik Tok shop and they taste way better. The rice had a weird taste and the beans were ok. My daughter ordered a quesadilla and she said the taste was good but it was steak and it was also very greasy. When the waitress asked if everything was ok and I said, "no" she offered to make it again. I said, "No thank you." I told her it was so greasy and she said, "Yes that's just how they are served!" That was all I needed to hear. What would be the point of remaking it then!? When the other staff member came to clear our plates and saw my full plate and asked if I wanted a box and I declined, she still didn't think that maybe something was wrong. $22 was a ridiculous amount of money to throw away. I definitely won't be back. I'm sure there are plenty of people who will enjoy the patio and drinks. Hopefully, they take Birria off the menu and stick to the basics. read more

Very cute and kitschy regional chain restaurant with an enormous menu, including a vegan section and a vegetarian section. Right away, they brought out an enormous cone of warm chips and a carafe of salsa the waiter poured into a little bowl. Free chips aren't a given anymore, so this was nice to see. They're served like Belgian frites. I thought $15 was a lot for a margarita, but it came in an enormous goblet, which seemed like a good value. I ordered the passionfruit margarita on the rocks and it was delicious. The potato flautas from the vegan menu were great. They come with shredded lesstuce, tomato, and guacamole, plus a side of black beans. The flautas were three corn tortillas filled with mashed potato, folded, and fried. The result was a flat crispy flauta rather than a round rolled one. They were very good. I love when vegan dishes come with guacamole. A solid dinner option if you're out on Transit Road in Depew. read more

I really don't like leaving bad reviews but our visit here was not good. I know they are a newer restaurant so hope in the future will be better. We ordered the vegetable fajitas which on the menu said it had grilled zucchini but did not, and the other vegetables weren't fresh they were definitely a frozen California mix, some were still cold even though the plate was warm. And the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was inedible, it tasted like a Tostitos cheese sauce. The prices are extremely high compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. read more

Came here tonight with some girlfriends. I had called earlier and they did not take reservations. Thankfully, when we arrived, there wasn't that much of a wait. The restaurant is pretty big. Has a really nice outdoor patio and sidebar. Great music was playing. We waited 10 minutes for our table sat in the bar area. We were greeted right away. The menu is enormous. I broke my number one rule of new restaurants and went for lunch on their first day open. They did well though! Bountiful chips and salsa provided and prompt efficient service. My companions and I all ordered ground beef items and found it to be just ok. Drinks are a bit pricy for the neighborhood. My margarita was tasty though. My second trip I opted for a chicken quesadilla that came smothered in queso. The boyfriend got 3 chicken tacos and enjoyed them. The shredded chicken is almost as good as I make at home. We split a pitcher of the red sangria and it was yummy. They remodeled this space so beautifully! The tile work and lighting is stunning. They completely opened up the space and summer will be awesome with the open garage doors and patio! We will be back, but would like to see some food and drink specials. read more

Another new Mexican place just past the Cove on Transit between Clinton and French (where Paige's used to be? ). Margaritas Mexican Cantina. Looks like they have locations in Rochester. Had to give it a try... The atmosphere was amazing. Decor was spot on and was clean and comfortable. Amazing patio out front. The food was very good, produce was super fresh and tasted great. Portion size was slightly smaller than most Mexican places, but the prices were also slightly better than most. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. Plenty of employees, which is rare nowadays. Had to ask for hot sauce. I like it when there are options on the table, but it did look less cluttered. Will definitely be back again. read more

We went on a Wednesday evening for my son's GF birthday. My son told the hostess. It was weird because she didn't say they don't do anything for birthdays, she said she would tell the server. It was never mentioned again. But that's not my issue. The music was so loud that everyone had to scream to hear each other. All tables talking super loud made the noise almost unbearable. I can only speak for my foods taste. I ordered steak fajitas. They came out on cast iron but the steak, peppers and onions were just placed on it. Not sizzling. In fact they were dry and unseasoned. No only was the steak dry it was tough. My husband said the steak in his burrito was tough. He also didn't like that there were whole beans in the refried beans. My margarita was good. Our server was not pleasant. Looked like he hated the world. We had to ask for drink menu. When he helped to drop off the food, he immediately took off. Never asked if we needed anything else. I had to flag him down to get hot sauce. He was not attentive at all. This was our first time and there are so many place we have had great food and service that we won't return. read more
