I decided to come to this location because I could get an appointment a few weeks earlier than at Kempsville. I am very happy that I decided to try the Great Bridge location and think I will continue to come to this location even though it's a little more of a drive from my home. This location is very small compared to the Kempsville location but feels more friendly and comfortable, it has a small town independent vibe that I like. I never felt rushed and didn't have to spend much time waiting. My Basset Hound was actually seen a few minutes before her scheduled appointment time. The staff is awesome and Dr. Alex provides great care. She's not shy about getting down on the floor to examine my dog and takes the time needed for a thorough assessment. Her knowledge and professionalism are much appreciated. The small private parking lot is more than adequate for the business and is not crowded like the one at the Kempsville location. There was plenty of room to easily park my vehicle. The pavement doesn't look fresh or new but it is clean and free of debris. I am very happy I tried the Great Bridge location of Acredale Animal Hospital. I now consider it my first choice when my pet needs care.

The best part is that all my surrounding family in Coastal Virginia also groom and board their dogs at Sterling Meadows too. It's a family thing! I am always greeted with a familiar and friendly smile from behind the counter which is always a plus because they begin to recognize their customers, which really deepens my loyalty towards. I love that the groomers themselves come out from behind and walk the boys over for their baths. You can really feel the personal touch they put into their services. Meeko is terrified of baths, but I never put up a battle when dropping him off. Bleu loves the pets he gets from them too, and is always excited to see them come out from behind the store. Seeing Sterling Meadows employees personalities surround the services they are able to provide has won me over. It shows that this business cares about their employees, and that the employees also care about their clientele, especially with them being able to retain so many local and loyal customers. We are a Sterling Meadow family, and highly recommend using this family owned business too! Your furiends will really feel the love they get from you, from the staff of Sterling Meadows while you're away! I left detailed instructions from prior visits, but nothing is retained in their notes. This most recent time I requested to be placed on the photos and updates text/call list due to my dog already having slight joint issues. Communication was non existent until I had to call them to check on my dog. They failed to communicate to me that my dog was not eating for 2 whole days until I called them. They did provide an eating alternative, but only after the fact when I called. While away for 6 days, I only received 3 pictures for 1 day, and 1 phone call update about my dog. Upon picking up my dog, he had very noticable weight loss, his back leg was in worse shape than when I dropped him off, and now has a noticiable cough. I specifically asked the associates to be mindful of his joint issues that my dog has and call me anytime if they have any issues. Also, note before bringing your pets here, if not neutered your pet will be isolated and not have anytime with any other dogs. Usually, I would continue to bring my pet back, but after this recent experience he will not be coming back.
