This food truck stopped by my work so of course I had to give them a try. Ordered the tacos, a steak, pork, and chicken taco. The flavor was definitely there. Meat marinade and cooked to perfection. Just onion and cilantro on the tacos then you can add 1 of the sauces they keep outside of you'd like. I also ordered the chips and queso, not the biggest fan of the presentation. They have me chips with cheese poured over the top, I'm not a fan of this because chips will turn soggy quickly. If much rather be given a cup of cheese to dip my chips in but that's personal preference. Overall, tasty tacos! Will definitely try again. read more

We caught up with Las Gringas at Deep River Brewing in Clayton. Super friendly and funny guy taking orders. Not a tremendous amount of keto-friendly options here, but that's to be expected with tacos and tortillas. I made the best option and chose a plate that was basically battered and fried shrimp in a spicy sauce. Since I was already off keto for the night, this wasn't too bad. Stood in line forever, they were out of what I wanted without putting it on the sign, waited forever for my order, and then they got it badly wrong. No apology. The person before me had waited forever for something they said they had and was told they were out after she had paid and waited for it. They gave her something else. Again, no apology. What a delicious taco truck! They came to our office for lunch, and my coworkers and I all got several items off the menu. I like how straight-forward their menu is: Tacos, Burritos, Nachos, or the Las Gringas -- can add rice or beans. The Las Gringas was a half-quesadilla type item, and it's recommended with the Al Pastor pork meat filling. I'll say, I got the Nacho Borracho with Al Pastor and it was incredible! First of all it, was massive! But second: many of the taco tracks around here are incredibly bland and taste like I slapped something together out of my fridge. Not this place! The meat was super flavorful, as were the pico de gallo and the black beans! It was a beautiful sight, and blended together really well. I also recommend getting the salsa verde on the side, it kicked the nachos up even more! It's a good-looking truck with friendly service, and like all Mexican food, came out super prompt. This food truck was at a school festival along with a few other ones. I ordered a kids quesadilla, which was all fine and without issue. I also ordered a rice bowl, which is a combo of rice, corn, beans, cheese, cilantro, and meat all mixed together. The problem was that the majority of the rice in my rice bowl was raw - as in crunchy. Thankfully I tasted it before my one year old daughter, who I was going to share it with, got any on her tray. I brought the rice bowl back to the window and explained the issue. Saying nothing, the guy at the window turns around and gives me a small tray with about 1/2c of (this time) cooked rice...as though I'm supposed to pick out all the raw grains individually and replace them with the cooked rice? Then he had the audacity to get upset with me for throwing out the remainder of my raw rice bowl. Do better, friend; rice ain't that hard to get right; neither is an apology. read more

Marco and his crew brought their food truck to my office building last week. The service was great as Marco was very personable and friendly. He took the orders and the ladies inside prepped and packaged the meals for pickup at the next window. I ordered the nachos con carnitas (pork). Marco told me the pork was an excellent choice and although I didn't try any other meat, he was right. I was surprised at how good they tasted. The pork and chipotle sauce were awesome but the stars of the meal were the chips. You could definitely taste how fresh they and that they were homemade. I'll definitely try them again read more

I tried Las Gringas last night for the first time and thought that it was a good value for the price. Both my husband and I tried the pastor meat and it was seasoned very well and really flavorful. He had a burrito and I had the gringa and both were HUGE. For $9-10 there is enough food to feed two people. While I was really impressed with the main dishes, the sides were not as good. We had the chips con queso and they were basically the same chips covered in cheese wiz that you would get from a gas station. Next time I visit I will skip the sides and just stick with the main plates because that's really all you need with the amount of food you get. read more

From poor service to prepackaged food. Huge disappointment. The churros are frozen, bagged chips, & canned queso. My chips & queso were served nacho style, definitely not what I was looking to snack on. My bagged chips got soggy with the canned cheese because they poured a bunch of the cheese on top of the chips with a sprinkling of shredded to cheese to make it seem fresh? The people after me ordered the same thing but got it separate. Not sure why I didn't get it that way. Either way it was terrible. I also Ordered the churros filled with caramel & figured it would be homemade since it was filled. Nope. Frozen. You get 3 churros cut in half for $5. I can get better "nachos" & churros for a lot less at Costco or any gas station. Service left a lot to be desired too. No can i help you or anything. Also had a whole buffet of different hot sauces you can add on that were neatly laid out on a separate table. I don't usually order black beans but I thought "why not!" lets live a little and see what happens when I eat beans and go back to work. I will never purchase anything from this overpriced food truck again. I ordered the special pork taquitos and they were so dry it must've been old, severely reheated pork. To make matters worse, there was a spider in my food! I reached out to the owner and his response was that they wash their lettuce everyday so the spider must've come from the trees! $9 for a "veggie plate" that was advertised as a veggie quesadilla with rice and beans. The "veggie quesadilla" was actually just a single tortilla served open-faced with melted cheese on it and some lettuce and tomato thrown on top. The rice was way too salty and had an almost plastic taste to it like it had been sitting in a container for too long. The beans were basically soup and looked like the liquid you drain out of the can. There was very little actual bean in it, mostly just liquid with no flavor, which was pretty difficult to try to eat with a fork. The quesadilla tasted decent, but for that price, I expected more than just a cheesy tortilla with lettuce and tomato. I incorrectly assumed there would be actual cooked vegetables involved. The rice and beans were inedible and I couldn't even force myself to eat more than one or two bites of each. Definitely a hard pass next time this truck shows up at an event. read more
