Service is very slow, checks are also slow to come out. The food was excellent, and a seat by the window is relaxing

The enthusiastic staff attended us immediately upon arrival and led us to our table. They explained their offers, a 2 course set menu with a drink for £17 or 3 course £20, in addition to an all day happy hour celebrating their 25th Birthday ;) Their food and cocktail menu's were extensive, with individual sections detailing vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. The food and cocktails were delicious and portions generous. Will definitely be returning to this fab little find! :)

We almost didn't find Las Iguanas but I'm glad we did because it was perfect. It's a good idea to get there before 7.30 as that is when their Happy Hour 2-for-1 cocktails offer ends. We both enjoyed a Bellini which the barman kindly lit up with candles (it was my birthday after all). My wife liked the idea of some guacamole so we shared that for starters. The waitress, Sophie, was very attentive, so when we moved onto the main course and my wife realised she didn't like burritos, Sophie didn't hesitate to change it for something else. In the end we both enjoyed the Bahia Moqueca, a light tasting Brazilian curry. The real treat that made me a fan however, wasn't the Latin music, fabulous decor or friendly staff but the Churros we had for dessert. I would return again for these alone. These doughnut like fingers taste amazing with the creamy De Leche dip or the dark chocolate. A dream come true. A Latin restaurant nearby that we'll both return to.

Absolutely unique, and made one feel happy for some reason. The ambiance was perfect, the menu was hilarious, and there were board games and books to take advantage of, The service was absolutely phenomenal. The guy behind the counter was friendly, helpful, funny, and made our eating experience better for his serving us. The food was fantastic! We had some tapas, a chicken and avocado salad (and when I asked to substitute steak for the chicken and pay for the difference, it was done), and a Matador burger, all with drinks and dessert. The drinks were delicious, refreshing, and well thought out, the salad was perfect (though admittedly a bit on the small side for the price), the tapas were wiped-clean in a matter of 30 minutes, and the Matador Burger, though nothing to write home about, was filling and yummy. We did pay extra for the sweet potato fries, and were a bit disappointed by the amount of fries that extra $1.25 will get you, but with drinks and dessert it ended up a blessing in disguise. The sticky toffee sundae was something I wish I could eat every day of my life, and the churros (accompanied by two dipping sauces) were surprisingly good! (Being a Californian I have pretty high expectations of Mexican foods, expectations that Britain has managed to almost thoroughly crush, so these were a pleasant surprise). We look forward to coming back for breakfast and board games!

Hidden Jewellery Quarter treasure alert......I have a new spot for drinks when I am in the area…read more I was initially put off by the bouncer on the door of this place as to me it gives a bit of a stuck up vibe but when you actually take the time to go up and have a chat you realise why....this place has some seriously beautiful art, watches and antiques everywhere from the minute you walk in. You also realise the bouncer is SO nice and helpful!! This is a classic case of dont judge a book by its cover.....my bad.... At first you walk down a corridor of artwork then through a reception room filled floor to cealing with beautiful items. You go through one more door to the bar and resturant space which has a higher ceiling bit is still filled with beautiful goods, some of which are for sale of you have the $$. We went to the bar at the back of the space and chatted with both the bar man and the owner of the place....again two lovely people that were more than happy to chat us through the idea of the venue and the ideas they have for its use moving forward. Drinks wise there are a lot of spirits and cocktails to choose from . As I was with LIv from Licor 43 we went for a signature serve with pineapple and 43. It was really smooth and balanced I would definately recommend it. We didnt have the food other than a cracker with some pate to sample (free of charge....very nice of them) but the menu is tapas....expect a review soon! If you havent been here yet.....do it....asap. Its a really beautiful and welcoming place with a lot to offer the area. You can be a lover of good drink, art or just bars in the area to appreciate somewhere of this quality :D Obviously.....5*

Firstly the décor - As it is also a gallery, there's a lot of art on display. There is also a great selection of vintage furniture, props and other items scattered around the space.. As we entered we were told that everything that you see is available to buy. There is so much to see in this place it would be hard to get bored. Next, the bar - The staff on the bar are incredible. They obviously knew what they were doing - they are friendly, professional and the cocktails taste amazing. Finally, the food - Again, simply incredible. I don't think I have ever had Chorizo like the meat that they serve here (it just melted in my mouth). I don't think that this was the most authentic tapas that I have tasted, and it has more of a cultured feel, but it was great all the same. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to go back.
