Walked in here as I've heard good things about this place and had a good experience for the most part! Waddling in at almost 40 weeks preggo, we were seated pretty much immediately around noon on a Saturday. Our server came around to take our drinks order while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. We scouted the menu to see if it was to our liking and they offered a variety of Colombian, Mexican, and some American dishes so we decided to stay. Ordered a Colombian coffee, Shrimp salad, tostones con guacamole, pargo frito, calamari, bandeja típica. Everything came out decently quick! Pargo Frito was omggg.. so crispy yet not oily and same with calamari. I didn't get heartburn like I usually do with oily foods so I took it as a really good sign. Toastones pairs so so well with the guac... salivating just thinking about that again. You also can't go wrong with the Bandeja Típica. Classic Colombian dish with a mix of steak, chicharrón, arepita, guac, chorizo, served with rice. Los todos fue muyyyy chimba. My only complaint is when I got up to look for the bathroom, I literally stood in front of two waitress and was totally ignored while they took their sweet time chatting to each other about whatever... which is fine like I don't care but it'd be nice if they acknowledged a first time patron needed help to find the bathroom. This is not reflective of our actual server - she was amazing and so attentive and constantly came to clear our tables (maybe a teeny bit rushed as we were still eating and the restaurant wasn't super full but nbd). This is my second time here. I really like the place, the ambiance and the food. But today, first, I waited to be seated. The n a party of 4 was served before me (I'm a solo dinner) and their order was taken before mine. They didn't even brought me water. Every table was served water as soon as they were seated. When asked, the waitress, he said they were having soup so it was faster ( I saw rice and meat) anyway second and last time her. I don't go back where I don't feel welcome. I do love this place for the nostalgia however the food differs from time to time if it's packed you might get all your food at once with no in-between but if your early you get your food on time .The restaurant is always decorated so beautifully but the music can be a bit much (in the night) however the portions are very big but the price for one entree can go for 23$ read more

Las margaritas has got to get a new name, because if you can't even make an item mediocre that you've named yourself after, you're not worth staying in business. Never in my life have I had a margarita that was clear. I'm surprised the staff isn't embarrassed to work there.... Most staff members were speaking Spanish, yet were somehow ok serving such a margarita, guacamole that likely came from Costco and offering Tabasco when you ask for hot sauce..... We were all hungry so we came here since V is familiar with the place. I've passed by so many times but never thought of eating there. It wasn't packed but we were there really early around 5pm. I ordered a Cubano sandwich, L had a Bandeja, V got the grilled chicken, and D had the breaded chicken. The last two entrees includes rice, salad, option of fries or mashed potatoes. You can opt for beans also. The Cubano was pretty tasty but a bit salty for me. Bread was toasted nicely. I was full after a couple of bites so I took the rest home but L & D were both starving and pretty much ate all their food. Portions are enough for two if you're not too hungry. I tried a lil of L's Bandeja. The rice and beans were good but the carne asada was really dry and chewy. The chicharron was crispy, but I only had a bite. Didn't try the egg but I prefer a nice sunny side up instead of an overcooked one. D ordered a Honey Mojito which I took a sip. Totally not a fan of JD Honey or any whiskey with homey, perhaps the worst mojito I've ever had.. should've gotten a margarita instead.... Today, March 3rd at 12 PM, my elderly mom and I decided to have lunch at Las Margaritas, where we usually indulge in their incredible frozen Maracuya (Passion Fruit) flavored Margarita. We've been loyal customers for years, specifically because of how delicious their Margaritas are. Unfortunately, when we tried it this time, it tasted more like watered-down sugar than the refreshing drink we remembered. We brought this to the attention of our waiter, but he became defensive and insisted it tasted the same as always. We knew better--this was not the quality we had come to expect. When he returned with what we suspect were the same drinks, they were still disappointing. At that point, we decided to cancel our food order and leave. Not only were the drinks disappointing, but the waiter's rudeness was uncalled for and unprofessional. Overall, this experience fell short of our expectations and was definitely not what we had hoped for. read more

I'm so done with this dump! I have only myself to blame. When you go somewhere without checking the Yelp reviews you get what you deserve. We have friends that live a couple blocks from there. So, it's a quick walk for them and became the place we'd go for Bdays, etc. Food was ok. Drinks were ok. Absolutely nothing special. The 3 stars that I now see the place is rated. Went yesterday. Same ok food and drink. But ohhhh my goodness! Worst service I've seen somewhere in over 20 years. 70 minutes and NINE requests to get a glass of water. Frozen drinks (which obviously have to be made) no problem. So, things that add to the check (and potentially the tip) come easily. But things like water and napkins, good luck! It was painfully difficult to order food, too. Maybe they think if you wait forever for your food, you'll have more drinks? The environment is awful. They blast the music so you have to scream just to have a conversation. You yell to be heard above the music. Then, the next table has to be heard above the music and you. Then, I have to try to be heard above the music and 2 tables of screaming people. It's so stressful and unpleasant. For only the 5th time in my whole life, I didn't leave a tip. There's just nothing to recommend this place. With average food and drinks, high prices, bad service and unpleasant atmosphere, there are way too many choices in the neighborhood to go to this place. read more

This place has become a good low key hang out spot for my family and I. Food is usually good for a bar/restaurant kind of place. Drinks are amazing. Let me tell you, i love frozen margaritas, this has become my number 2 spot. Music is always a vibe- a good ole salsa, vallenato, some bad bunny here and there but when RBD played there one time, i was sold. Convenience I was at home! Rating this place a 5 because of my previous experiences. But coming here for mother's day was tortured.. table were on top of tables.. it was busy alright. This place is known for their margaritas (hence the name) and their great food. We enjoyed two appetizers, the chicken quesadilla and the picadellas, chicharron with salchicha and tostones. Then i decided to order the bandeja tipica. Picture included. I underestimated how much food was included in this meal but i don't always eat Colombian so i had to order it. It came with white rice, beans, steak, pork belly, corn cake, Maduro, avocado. It was very filling and could barley finish it. I was very full when i done and definitely had the Food coma. On happy hour, I ordered a glass of pinto Grigio and some rice and garlic shrimp. The garlic shrimp tastes great but the rice was too hard as a rock. The most disappointing part was the glass of pinto Grigio, they forgot to wash it because it left a lipstick stain on. I told the waiter to change it to a cleaner glass and he did. The ambient of the restaurant was good for a happy hour and for sporting events along with some salsa and reggaetón music! But I'm not coming to this place to watch the upcoming World Cup because the food was not that great except for the garlic shrimp and they gave me a dirty glass of white wine! Ooops! I came here recently and ordered a maracuya martini and had to return it because it was very watery. I ordered a coconut margarita on the rocks and it was delicious and the food was good. However, I ordered arroz con leche and after 3 spoonfuls we noticed a long, thick piece of hair deep in it. I told the waiter and he had the audacity to ask if it was really there. I was taken aback from his response. He looked at me as if I was lying. That isn't the response you give when you're in the hospitality business. I ordered a chicken filet with cream of mushroom, it comes with a mini salad (some sour vinaigrette), rice and french fries. I came on a weekday and it was so packed and so many people celebrating birthday, which means the place is good right? We all ordered a found or margaritas on the rocks, and you could barley taste the alcohol.. there was also like two grains of salt around the rim. Pretty disappointing. There dishes are OKAY, it's very mediocre. Like I mentioned, there are many other places in the area that are better. The staff was great, super attentive and friendly. I suggest you try this is you like a nice garlic taste with seafood and chicken! The service itself is okay; nothing crazy like rude waiters or anything.
