They said they liked Crystal Clear Pools and the owner himself had installed their salt system. I had the pool system checked out by a good friend with a lot of knowledge of pools and my pool company that we have been using for almost 20yrs. They both noticed that the salt system was not working and that that Crystal Clear Pools had been using chlorine instead of the salt system to treat the pool. No one had let the previous owners know their salt system was not working but were aware since they were using chlorine instead. Also the pump was not priming all the way. The pump was the first thing noticed by my pool company and friend when they walked up to the system. The previous owners were surprised and had the owner himself come out and fix the salt system. He replaced the main board and charged them $600. They told me that the owner said that particular pump was supposed to only fill half way up and that was normal. I doubled checked with my pool company and my friend and they said that was not normal. Then I called the manufacturer of the pump. They also said it was not normal and that someone needed to look at the pump. I called Crystal Clear Pools and left a message for the owner. After a few days someone from the company called and said the owner would get back to me. He never did. I called the company again and still did not get a hold of anyone who could help or the owner. The previous owners of my house gave me the direct contact for the owner of Crystal Clear Pools. When I called his cell phone he answered. I explained about the pump. He was very nice and told me he would be out in a few days to look at it. I asked if the warranty on the pump was transferable to me and he said it was. Neither the owner from the pool company or anyone else showed up. I called a week later and left a message. I did not hear back. About a week after that I called and the owner picked up again. He was just as nice as the first time I talked to him. He apologized for not coming about and assured me he would be out in a week. When he did not show up again I texted him (see uploaded screen shot) and he responded back. I asked him to be honest if he was going to show up. He assured me he would. He never got back to me and I told him I was moving forward without him. Its now been over a month. I never heard back from him. I was very polite and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was always nice and assured me he would be out but his actions sadly showed me that he had no intention of looking at the problem. I had my pool company fix the issue. While working it they noticed Crystal Clear Pools plumbed the pool pump to where you could barely remove the cap to get the basket out of the pump (See picture). I do not like leaving bad reviews but feel I need to in this case. The owner has not provided quality work, service, or honesty to the previous owner or myself. There are a lot of pool companies in the area. I would try one of them before I would try Crystal Clear Pools.

My pump just went down and I had them upgrade my whole system. Because the pump was down, they came out quickly to repair the pump. They gave my system a total overhaul but only recommended what they felt need to be replaced. In others words, there were valves and actuators that I thought needed to be replaced that they told me was not necessary at this time. There were also a couple of items that they discovered after the pump was back on line that they repaired and did not add to the invoice. Very reputable company and I highly recommend them.

My son gave me this company's name & number. He said "they take care of the pools at his job" which is a large condo complex on PGA Blvd. When we sat down at closing to purchase house the owner gave us the same name & number an told us "this is who has been taking care of the pool for them". I had to hire this company. The pool was so clear & clean but need upgrades. After taking ownership of house I called them to set up with service. They answered all my questions & even the crazy one I had with being a new pool owner. I asked them to give an estimate of refurbishment & adding a pool Heater & Salt system. They did, then had someone call me to explain every step of it with me. They found some concerns with the electrical & I called in an electrician. Electrician found a very big concern with our house that wasn't caught by our home inspection at time of purchase. Now all pool up grades are on hold while electric is repaired with electric company. They are maintaining the pool during this time. What I love about this company also is they took the time to call me to see how everything was going. They are going to work with me on upgrading the pool at different intervals to accommodate my timed finances. Tyler comings in every week & does an awesome job. I called them to see what they could find out and they sent someone out and said that there was something wrong with my system so I had another company come out and they told me that my system was perfectly fine that that technician had done something that turned my system off. I called to cancel services after the one service he provided where he turned my pump off for the entire weekend and my pool didn't look clean at all. He didn't even scrub the bottom on the first service. He just poured chemicals in and emptied some filters out. They charged me $50 for the one Service. I would never recommend this company. They weren't even apologetic about what happened. It was a disaster from the beginning.

This Start Pool Cleaner showed up when I was not present, let himself in through the side gate, without any prior announcement, and proceeded to do the cleaning without ever being asked to do so. I found out two months later that I owed them for cleanings that were never agreed to, and the owner came and changed my filter without my presence, which might have been better had he made it known in advance the actual day and time so that I could be there to pay attention to it. I paid another pool service the same two months, so I was double charged by Star even though I did not sign any contracts, or even meet them in person.
