Chillo frito con arroz mamposteao. Fried snapper with mamposteao rice.

This is Copamarina Resort's main restaurant. The other is Alexandra, which is fine dining. Las Palmas is more casual. It is open with a nice view of the ocean during the day. There is a full bar with a TV that always has a game on, of any sport. If you are lounging at the small pool or the beach you can get pool/beach side service. Although please be patient as they are currently understaffed. That being said, the service was stellar during our stay. The food is fairly standard of a Puerto Rican resort. As for the food, it is your standard Puerto Rican resort restaurant. The pizza and burger are very good, as are the grouper (mero) nuggets. For breakfast they have a buffet. It is nothing fancy, but the food is good. The guy working the buffet was the definition of great service. Overall, if you are staying at the resort you don't really need to leave to get some good food or drinks. Las Palmas gets it done.

Stayed at Copamarina over the weekend. We ate here everyday. Service at Las Palmas was always top notch, very friendly. The margarita pizza and the burger were delicious. I would order them again. The chicken sandwich, however, was not that good. Too dry. I also felt the mussels were a bit too salty for my taste. I liked their Copa Sunset cocktail. The beer selection is small but nice. I am a fan of Boquerón and Zurc beers. For breakfast, I only tried the buffet. It was good. Next time, I'd like to try the a la carte options.

The great view you can get while enjoying eating here.

Part of Costa Marina's hotel, this restaurant offers very good, if a bit limited, options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service was always great, with every person we interacted with being very friendly and attentive. The view is beautiful, with the tables only a few feet from the beach and with the dinner room completely open, you get to enjoy the sea breeze along with the sights and sounds of nature.

    Wild caught lobster $35/lb

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have a higher rating. Maybe the quality is different during the busy season, but everything was prepared very skillfully, presented beautifully, and with subtle additional flavors and creative flair during the three times that we ate here. Based in other reviews, we got the grouper mofongo which was indeed very tasty. We also got wild caught lobster which tasted fresh at $35/pound. The cocktails were very good, they use some good fruit juice. For dessert, we loved the opera cake with many layers, and the piña colada panda cotta did not disappoint. Pumpkin soup was quite flavorful, if small. The one suggestion we would give is that the piña colada cocktail did not taste like pineapple.

Slow service, understaffed, overpriced mediocre food. No AC to get a break from the heat.

Came back to this restaurant. Morongo con mero is wonderful and the fish is fresh. Servuce is good but slow. Good value for price.

Copamarina guests are somewhat "stuck" at the resort, as other restaurants are far, but I never mind eating at Las Palmas.

The kind of meal where you keep talking about it…read morefor days afterwards with knowledge you can never eat these dishes anywhere else again without comparing them to the 10/10 experience you had at La Monstera. They are tucked away down a side street off the main square, in a small corner spot that glows purple from the moody lighting inside. We didn't have a reservation, but there were open seats at the bar on a rainy Thursday, so we were able to sit right down. For two people, we shared four dishes, which was slightly more than we could handle in one sitting, but we were glad to have something to take home. The hushpuppies are a larger portion than we expected but a solid start. They are coated in honey for a touch of sweetness. The tuna crudo is a dish I would not skip if I was visiting because you can't get fish this fresh anywhere. It comes sliced very thin, topped with jalapeno, and swimming in a citrusy sauce. It was not overly spicy, just a small kick that worked perfectly. Dish three is where things really started getting more interesting. The brocollini is one of the best versions we have ever had. It has a nice basil-y sauce and thin pieces of fried garlic, and these flavors worked so well together. They really make veggies sexy. The standout of the meal, though, is the shrimp al ajillo. The employee who brought it seemed so excited just to be delivering it, no doubt he has had it himself and knew he was delivering joyous memories. The garlic flavor was unbelievable. Even the side bread, soaked in that garlic oil, was spectacular. The cocktails are well mixed, too. Their vieux carre features rum, an interesting twist on a classic, and it is very good if you are into old fashioned type drinks. Rum forward, potent, but sippable. For round two, I tried pasiflora. The description sounded quite tart and fruity, with rum, ginger, passionfruit, and vanilla, but it was so smooth, with a velvety texture, and a side shot of prosecco you could sip separately or pour right in. A fun experience not to be missed. Before our dishes started coming, they even provided a small dish of fried chickpeas to snack on with our drinks. I love that. Bonus points because we stumbled in on another day, which was a day they were supposed to be closed, to find they are a "margs and tequila shots only" pop up going on, with a great DJ and fun crowd.

This 12-seated Chef's Table is an experience and conversation with those around you as well as with the food that speaks volumes while allowing you to be curious. Chef Antonio makes this experience extremely welcoming and accessible for anyone from all walks of life. Sarah made our day when she was so kind in emails leading up to potentially attending the November Cheese month. I had emailed her to see if there were two spots available and she put us on her list and crossed her fingers for us! When we got the email that two spots had opened (on our wedding day) it was the most beautiful gift to us! Sarah continued to be warm, welcoming, and connective on a human to human level. Antonio took us on a journey of the ingredients and how cheese was highlighted in each dish, not to mention the wine pairing that Sarah would create to emphasize each flavor! Truly one of the biggest highlights of our trip! Beyond grateful that we were able to experience the creation and knowledge of these two.
