Ordered a book needed for class for pick up in the bookstore a week ago. First day of class, checked in the bookstore and they had some on the shelf. Asked when they would fill our online order and was told they didn't know. Told us we could cancel our order, but we could not find where to do that. Didn't buy one, thinking they should be able to quickly fill it, since there was stock on the shelf. No, that didn't happen. Second day of school, the shelf is empty and status of online order is back ordered. Learned our lesson. Do not order online. They do not prioritize online orders. read more

We love having our little one there. The teachers and staff are amazing and always super flexible and willing to listen and make changes (several little things I have asked for have been taken care of). The facilities are good and clean and allow the kids to safely get outside and see other kids, all within the larger college campus. Kids love it there and lots of families in the area that we have met through this place. Highly recommend. Covid related: They recently opened back up and our kid is happy to be back in "school". This center is a hidden gem. I'm a 43yo single mom that walked into the CDC after enrolling into the college. I was very worried how I would be able to complete my courses with a 3yo. It would also be the first time leaving my son, so I was heartbroken. Angela greeted me with open arms and gave me support that I could've only dreamt about. She supplied me with state and county resources, a flexible schedule for my son's attendance that mirrored what I needed to do my courses. The teachers, assistants, and student helpers are phenomenal! They gave my son the love and care he needed to transition comfortably into a new environment. The CDC is extremely cautious with safety protocols, and they use the Brightwheel app for updates that include pictures and posts of your child's current activities. They also provide a nutritious breakfast if needed. My son graduated preschool, and I graduated with my degree this year. We could not have done it without the CDC. I am forever grateful to the staff, teachers, and student helpers. You do not need to be a student to have your child attend. They offer part time and fulltime programs. Thank you CDC! Our daughter started attending LPCDC when she was 3. When we discovered the school, we felt like we win the lottery. We kept hoping a place like this existed. The teachers are educated, caring, patient and professional. The center is new and was designed with kids in mind. The rates are reasonable for working class family. The outdoor play area is a kids dream. The staff have become like our family and now that our girl is off to kindergarten, we are sad to go. We will cherish our memories there. The LPC Child Development Center is truly an amazing place! The facility is spacious, beautiful, and designed to foster a child's growth. The teachers are warm, caring, and professional. The play areas are particularly inviting with a trike trail, a windmill, and even water features. My son started at the LPC CDC when it opened in October 2011, and he loves it. I worked here for about a year and a half while I went to school and it was such a heart-warming experience. I loved the play-based environment so much that my son now goes here! The teachers are fun, welcoming and accepting but most of all they listen to your families needs. I trust this program with every inch of my being--and that's saying a lot because I don't trust just anyone with my child. It's a common misconception that you have to go to school at Las Positas College in order for your child to attend this program but that is 100% FALSE. The program is open to the public and knowing that the child development center works hand-in-hand with the early childhood department of the school offers a sense of security in believing that my child will blossom in a way that is modern and up-to-date. i took out my son (2years old) from this place 6 month ago. still after 6 month when i drive close to there he gets freaked out and nervous. if you want to know why i took him out. there was a biter in his class. he came back home multiple times with one or two bite marks on his hand. i talked and they said they would not kick the biter out because of biting!! they tried to keep him away from my son but after a few months every time i was dropping him off he was frustrated and cried, until i changed his daycare. something must have happened that i don't know! he never loved it there. read more

We enrolled our son in the toddler program right when this facility opened in October 2011. We couldn't be happier with our decision. The facility is superb. It's still brand new and completely state of the art. The classrooms are clean and well maintained. Everything the teachers need are nearby - the kitchen, the bathroom, their supplies, etc. The outdoor play structures are superior to other places we looked at in the area. They even have canopies over the play areas to shade the children from the sun and heat on hot days. We found the teachers to be both professional and extremely caring with the kids. They have one-on-one conferences with you from time to time to keep you informed of how your child is developing and relating to others and are always available to discuss any issues you may have. I wouldn't hesitate at all in recommending the Las Positas Child Development Center to any parent. Go check them out! read more

I have both my 3 1/2 yr old and my almost 2yr old enrolled in the preschool program here, they both LOVE IT! They wake up in the morning on school days racing out of the house to go to school. The environment is very clean and organized. The teachers that work there are amazing, although we are getting some new teachers this year, I'm sure they will be just as great. I enrolled my two children at the LPC Child Development Center this last September and I am amazed at how much of a positive influence it has been! To start, the environment is a dream, offering the best that I could want for my kids. The teachers are so caring in their approach that my babies reflect the love when we come home. They have a natural learning approach, which allows the children to learn through play and activities, instead of stressful worksheets. The center also serves as a learning lab where the children always get to try out new educational play experiments with student teachers.The director, Corin, goes out of her way to connect to each family and child, and you never get the feeling that any of the staff is just "doing their job."
